Hi sis I am so moved, I am married to a southwest man and e mom likes cooking this meal when he is around and now we are in e far Nord and he is dying to eat it and u my Dr sis u have made me to gain much love from him thanks so much
First question that i had on my mind when this video popped up was: Where to I get the plantain from? Thanks sis, I now know how to make my own plantain 4 mpuh at home. Ur uploads always remind me of long forgotten foods, lastly ate this about a year ago. U r great, thanks again.
Nice recipe precious kitchen, but just an add, they don't use ginger or garlics in mpuh, all you need is just your plantain flour, contri onion, Bush pepper, njangsang, onions, pepper, oil and your fish of course...except you just want to make it in a more unconventional way. But I love your videos, I watch them often and tryout your recipes too
I just want to say your communication skills are great. The way talk and throw in little stories is really good.I neva put ginger n garlic in mine but im going to try it today.hope it's good
hi from which part of Cameroon are u? please don't get me wrong , mpu is my traditional dish and I never saw my grandma or mother use garlic, ginger and onion in making mpu. people May want to.vary The recipe but please it will be nice to mention while cooking it. it eating with plantain traditionally and not rice too. it's like someone cooking achu from the northwest and he says add crayfish, ginger, garlic etc. :)
You're bakossi like me. I think families have their own ingredient. We use garlic & ginger for mpuh in my family and we eat it with plantain (plantain with plantain).
@@lilianleanyuy4113 and if you read then you may have seen I was polite to say it will b nice to mention that is how she prefers it for thats not how it's cooked traditionally. Cooking is an art yes but for traditional meals if we make changes then it's good to mention. It was harmless comment dear.
Hii Precious. Nice video there. Thumbs up. I would like to try the recipe. A quick question however, is the plantain flour obligatory or optional? Can I go ahead without it? Thanks again for the nice videos!
You are right, hun! Country onions is bomb.com in this dish. I omitted it because 1.) I have seen my mom make it without country onions and it tasted so good still 2.) Many people in other parts of the world can't find country onions so I wanted to show them how to do it without. Thanks for the add, dear.
Hey Berry! No, bush pepper is different. Cameroon pepper is our regular hot pepper. Bush pepper is like black pepper but looks more twisted. I think it's called uziza in Nigeria. But I may be wrong.
It is available in Nigeria. I have forgotten what it is called there but you could check among whole pepper soup spices. Unfortunately there is no alternative.
nadialln do you have plantains? Make your own plantain flour at home by drying in the oven on very low heat. Click the link in the description box for details.
work on your camera angle more. segment 8:00 you're finished cooking but no one can see the dish. the camera just shows you looking down onto the food and saying you're going to taste, then we see you put a stick of something in your mouth. But this whole dish you prepared, we can't get to see the grande finale.
This is abusing my traditional meal. Please no garlic, ginger or onion is added to this meal. Plus this dish is absolutely nothing without country onion and African nutmeg. It's eaten with plantain and not rice. Please do your research ahead of time
This is the only precious way make sense. Thank you mama

Hii Precious. Nice video there. Thumbs up. I would like to try the recipe. A quick question however, is the plantain flour obligatory or optional? Can I go ahead without it? Thanks again for the nice videos!
Hi Sergi, the plantain flour is a key ingredient here so it's not optional.
contry onion is missing aunty precious there is a flavour dat contry onion gives to this dish try it out next time n lemme know what u think
You are right, hun! Country onions is bomb.com in this dish. I omitted it because

Please what is the alternative to Njansa? I am in Nigeria and I don't know what it is.
It is available in Nigeria. I have forgotten what it is called there but you could check among whole pepper soup spices. Unfortunately there is no alternative.
Hello aunty precious I don't know you when I cook mine it became black I don't know what makes it get that colour
Hi dear, it could be the plantain flour you use. Do you buy it or you make yours? I prefer making mine.
what if i don't have plantain flour?
nadialln do you have plantains? Make your own plantain flour at home by drying in the oven on very low heat. Click the link in the description box for details.
Hey love your videos. What if u don't have an oven for the plantains. What other alternatives do I have???
