    Of all Cameroonian dishes, Koki Corn has always intimidated me so I've never tried to make it. I think i was always unsure of the cornmeal to fresh corn ratio. I've had koki corn where too much cornmeal was added and it tasted horrible. I watched this video and tried making it tonight and it came out amazing. Thank you precious. Your videos are not only educational but they also inspire confidence in those of us for whom cooking is not a first language.

      Yes I enjoyed it, and I am back again 4 years later because I happen to find myself in a white man's land lol. The corn is not corning and I am craving koki corn. So I was wondering if the powered stuff you added is just dried blended corn, because I have dried corn.

    Hey precious ! Such a great detailed video! I am so jealous you could find banana leaf here in New Jersey my Asian stores don't have it !
    I was wondering if you can do a recipe of the real KOKI that we eat with plantains? The one that is made only with koki beans, palm oil and salt? Not corn beans.

    • @PreciousKitchen
      @PreciousKitchen  7 лет назад

      Rose Line awww I really wish you could find banana leaves. Maybe asking around could help. If there are Asians in your area there would probably be a store that carries them. But you will need to ask to find out. I buy them frozen. I also occasionally find fresh ones at the farmer's market. Meanwhile, I already have a Koki Beans video. Here is a link to it: ruclips.net/video/qVSk1munM4o/видео.html

      Precious Kitchen thank you so much I search your channel and missed that koki recipe! As for the banana leaf I see "frozen banana leaf" in Asian stores but never thought it was what you used. Thank you so much, you're saving my life! I miss Cameroon so much but your recipes makes me fill like home 😊

    • @PreciousKitchen
      @PreciousKitchen  7 лет назад +1

      Rose Line yes that should be it! I thaw the leaves then warm them over an open flame like we do back home. If you don't have a flame, immerse in boiled water to wilt the leaves. You are very welcome, dear!
