Hi Bill. The backstory you did was absolutely beautiful. It's a shame it wasn't longer, but I understand in the grand scheme of things it was only a small part of this video. You put so much into your productions it really is breathtaking. I really do think that this is definitely your best work so far. I love the use of the cable conduits for musculature. The subtlety of the lighting really works too. If you ever need a break from sculpting, PLEASE consider doing more world building and story crafting. I could watch that for hours. Your art style is perfect. It makes me think of 1970s hand animated fantasy work like The Fantastic Planet, The Point and stuff like Heavy Metal. So, to answer your question, yes please, more like this. It's well worth the wait, providing you want to do it. It's a lot of work!
He's so soft-spoken and quiet that I have to turn my volume all the way up; when YT goes to an ad at full volume, I about have a stroke. I haven't felt this alive since watching network television in the 1990s. Bill is the Bob Ross of makin' stuff.
After watching this and Studson's moving castle I now have my own plans to build a behemoth robot...granted it's going to be more squat and fatter than yours as I'm basing it off of the Destroid Monster from Macross and scaled (1/35 specifically) to go with my Brigador themed Maschinen Kreiger model kits.
I couldn’t love this any more bill. The production value of the video is exceptional, the sculpt is simply stunning and your presentation is wonderfully humorous. This goes to show what can happen when an innate talent gets the chance to flourish. I also must point out that at the time of typing this you have 555 likes and no dislikes. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that ratio before.
Amazing build as always! My dog's ears lifted up at the squeaking on the "scratch building: building from scratch transition"- clearly there's more than one BillMakingStuff fan in the house!
As an animator, the fact that you basically created an animatic to go along with the titan's origin story is very awesome! Eager to continue my Bill-Binge of your entire video catalogue until I'm all caught up.
I definitely relate to making a build so big I can’t store it anywhere! As a huge fan of ghibli movies, I’m currently working on my second howls castle (the first broke), and it’s about three long and two and a half tall. No shelf in my house will hold it😅😂 for all the planning I did on the build, I overlooked that very important detail
People, go through the sketch book frame by frame (1:23 to 1:29). It's gold. I can't wait to see things like Spaghetti Steve and the Flowerhorn. Loved the storytelling bit. Yes, more please! Also, Bill, please do an "I have no respect for your time" shirt.
I really like the idea of having world building to the point where someday this could actually be a robot based tabletop game. after all if you don't play a game with them there's no point in doing all that stupid measuring to make them to scale.
Great build bill! The story telling is a unique addition, definitely keep it. Would love to see this character pop up again in future stories as you flesh out the world too
“Life is a Greebley” - Greg Greebley really was ahead of its time. 106 Mantras of the Greeble really changed my outlook on crafting. Mantra 63: see the world as a crafter. A priceless treasure can be found in trash, and actual treasures can be turned into a crab. Nothing is more believable as gemstones than actual gemstones! Really stuck with me, that one.
yeah, I REALLY like this guy, to scale he's scarily huge and I can imagine him clunking and ponderously moving around the scrap planet looking for his little buddy
Loved the animation/storytelling. Really simple, but super slick. Would be great to see more of the "lore" behind each creation. I always do the same thing-- come up with little stories for anything I make (even if they're pieces of shit).
The world-building/lore was fun and certainly the build. I was intimidated thinking of how I would begin covering up the skeleton, but using a bunch of conduit wire was a great way to make the process simpler while still looking intricate.
Thanks for the time put in to this one Bill. Lovely Titan. I really liked the story and animation in the intro (and the rubbing cloth over microphone for sound effects?).
Top quality build! I love the editing. The story part was an excellent addition! I hope you include them whenever you feel inspired to make them- my kid loved it too. The quick resin lens tutorial was just what I needed to solve a little issue I’d been pondering for a while- so thanks!!
That naturally weaving in and out effect that you pulled off flawlessly with all the wiring and mechanical parts is what really proves your expertise in this craft, simply mind bogglingly amazing attention to detail. That is the kind of dedication that makes an artwork truly timeless and special
I really enjoyed this! The storytelling was great and really adds something extra special to the finished bot :D I also love all the organic shapes and details, great job as always!
That build is truly impressive. The moss really adds a nice pop of color and variation in texture. I could see a bonsai tree growing on this guy. I also love the story building and how you turned a technical difficulty into more content. I also don't mind you leaving the basing out, you already covered that in another video so...yeah. Keep it up.
Fantastic! Please do more story time, in fact, just make a whole animation that goes into the background of your junk planet. World building is the best.
Really love this Big Boi! Transition to Witch Hands was smoooooth. Good story, upvote on that as well. Seriously contemplating a large bash of my pet Shambling Mound after holiday gifts are completed, so thanks for that.
I have to say, being a Patreon definitely helped me tonight. I got to see the video before I went for my works team meal and then got to watch it again when I came home drunk and give it a 'thumbs up' ... result in my books! Cracking build Bill and well worth the wait, cos like it took forever ;P Seriously very nice and well worth the wait, it's a real beast and the story / animation was brilliant (edited to remove the spoiler.)
Wow. I haven’t been this elated with a channel find in literally years. You are an amazing and singular dude, Bill. Im going to be up all night watching your entire catalog and finishing up my spaceship made of a cigar tube, nail file packaging, broken Christmas ornament and the cap from some cumin.
Awesome build. Enjoyed the storytelling. It helped contextualize the choices you made along the way (like rust and moss). Beautifully entertaining video even beyond the build itself. Thanks :)
This is extremely cool. It struck me as you were winding bits of conduit around that it could pretty easily be textured to look like tree trunks and vines instead, which would make for a fantastic Ent. Just have to figure out foliage.
Been a viewer for a while. This one drove me to subscribe. Enjoyed everything about it. As someone who's viewing diet is about 50% youtube crafters, I can say I've enjoyed this build as much as any I've seen. Loved the way you approached the story. Pacing was spot on. Perfect vid to go with my Sunday morning coffee. Thanks for putting this together.
I am absolutely floored by this build, this story, the animation, all of it! This build is nothing short of inspiring. Bill, you're a wonder, never stop making stuff.
Great structure! Such a lovely titan! I studied a fair bit of structural engineering for my environmental engineering degree. What you did with the wires is basically what makes concrete strong against shaking and bending and falling apart. For large structures like a house or a bridge the to scale equivalent is steel in cabkes, or a steel mat from cables. And concrete instead of the glue. Pretty neat!
What a great build! My first video I've seen of yours and what an impression it makes. The care and talent is very evident in this video and model. The whole thing is so creative and it turned out stunning. The moss is a particularly interesting and amazing part of the build as it adds so much to it. Keep up the great work, I love to see it!
This is incredible. The build itself is awesome but the background along with the animation is what makes it, for me. I would love to see more of the lore and setting of your creations fleshed out with these animations. I love the sketchy style so much!

Matrix is what I thought of as well..

Matrix 4?? nahhh, Matrix begins and ends with the first movie (1999)!

Ooo film it! Post it!
That howls castle n thus vid so inspiration😊
Hello, found my way here after running out of Dan Does videos. This looks ace!

Thanks for the shout out I'm glad you got good use out of the flock!
You are a master narrator and creator. Please, show us the titan in it's living room habitat ;)
I definitely relate to making a build so big I can’t store it anywhere! Love the world building
I can not get enough of the way you speak, it's so calming
Story AND an awesome build?!
You spoil us Bill 😍
Amazing build Bill, reminiscent of Ghibili. Yes to more story and big builds!
Its freaking incredible
Thanks for the heart :D👍
Great Build!

Also, Bill, please do an "I have no respect for your time" shirt.
I love the backstory of the scrap Titan Bill. It certainly lives up to its name. I thought making a dracolich with a 4-inch base was big.
I really like the idea of having world building to the point where someday this could actually be a robot based tabletop game. after all if you don't play a game with them there's no point in doing all that stupid measuring to make them to scale.

i love the way you talk to your audience as if they are just mates
So many tubes and hoses on that thing. H.R Geiger would be proud 😎
world-building stuff was a nice touch
Loved the story building
I love the detail of the moss being mainly on the top of the robot
“Life is a Greebley” - Greg Greebley really was ahead of its time.

Really stuck with me, that one.
I know there are a lot of sceptics out there. But for a crafter, the path of the Greeble is and has always been the only path to revelation.
This and Studson's Howl's moving castle video are by far my favorite craft videos on youtube.
I love big builds like this
The build is good
Yes, we need more story time!
Definitely one of your best builds so far
yeah, I REALLY like this guy, to scale he's scarily huge and I can imagine him clunking and ponderously moving around the scrap planet looking for his little buddy
The storytelling was a very cool touch!
The world building was awesome!
Gadsden! Is frigging huge! Love it!
That story was so awesome! This build is so frickin cool!!! I'm definitely using conduit wire and the moss glue concoction for my next build 🤩
Great build. I did enjoy the story of how the bot came to be.
Glad to hear it!
Excellent build Bill! Turned out incredible
Loved the animation/storytelling. Really simple, but super slick. Would be great to see more of the "lore" behind each creation. I always do the same thing-- come up with little stories for anything I make (even if they're pieces of shit).
I loved the story line part at the beginning. Great build. It looks freakishly real.
The world-building/lore was fun and certainly the build. I was intimidated thinking of how I would begin covering up the skeleton, but using a bunch of conduit wire was a great way to make the process simpler while still looking intricate.
I'm glad on how the sfx sound so childish and his voice so mellow, I can play this infront of my strict parents without them reacting badly to it.
Thanks for the time put in to this one Bill. Lovely Titan. I really liked the story and animation in the intro (and the rubbing cloth over microphone for sound effects?).
Maybe... glad you liked it
Yaaaasss story time ! That was awesome !

Awesome story and a beast of a build. Really enjoyed this one Bill. 🤖👍
One of the best yet! Scary!!
That naturally weaving in and out effect that you pulled off flawlessly with all the wiring and mechanical parts is what really proves your expertise in this craft, simply mind bogglingly amazing attention to detail. That is the kind of dedication that makes an artwork truly timeless and special
Unreal build Bill.Using the combs to make rivets in the Eva was genius.
I really enjoyed this one, the larger size means more room for detail. Great stuff Bill!
Really awesome Bill, I enjoy seeing your rusty machine world come together!
Awesome build Bill, great video, loved the back story - definitely more of that please!
I really enjoyed this! The storytelling was great and really adds something extra special to the finished bot :D I also love all the organic shapes and details, great job as always!
Just amazing, Bill, just amazing!

Love the strong telling and world building!
That is one epic build, Mr Bill. Wow. I can't wait to see what's next.
Finally, a Kaiju!!! Gojira could kick his arse though.

Aaahh. He’s a rusty little hermit crab bot, who found a new home. Nice video. Thanks
Structural Engineer here. I use a lot of wire and epoxy resin when building my bridges and hospitals. Nailed it!
This is excellent in every way.

an incredible build! (and i quite like the story to go with it)
Amazed and baffled...Thanks for making the start of my weekend so enjoyable.

Welcome aboard!
I really liked the story part, hope to see more of that. Great job bill!
Was not expecting to get so emotionally attached to a scratch build but man, that backstory was Amazing. Amazing job bill!!!
Damn, really impressive work. Looks straight out of Bioshock
Truly EPIC! In scale, creativity, style, construction and execution, you sir, are a master of making something out of nothing!
This was all great! That final build is AMAZING!
Please do more story! My husband and I loved the story behind this guy. It would also be amazing to have stories for any other guys you make as well.
"Composite Construction Endoskeleton" - sounds way fancier than sticks, wire and epoxy.
You have outdone yourself. What a magnificent build!
Fantastic build! And yes, keep telling stories if you enjoy it. I enjoy seeing your thought process!
Awesome build. Enjoyed the storytelling. It helped contextualize the choices you made along the way (like rust and moss). Beautifully entertaining video even beyond the build itself. Thanks :)

A Scrap Titan from the Scrapbashing Titan. You raise the bar with every episode, Bill. Thanks for such gigantic content.
This is incredible. The build itself is awesome but the background along with the animation is what makes it, for me. I would love to see more of the lore and setting of your creations fleshed out with these animations. I love the sketchy style so much!
It looks great Bill! I really like your style and this is no different. Great job!
Absolutely beautiful creation. Keep it up. 🙂
Bill... are YOU the Scrap Titan? Deep down inside? Anyhoo excellent work as always, this is quality crafting. 👍🏻
I loved the story and this has me really excited to try a similar build project for an Ork stompa
love the story part!
This is one of my favorite creatures that you've built. Turned out great.
Nice work, and yes more story telling
Great build and an even more amazing video of the process
