Uncle Bill, your work is on a whole different level. Texture, color choice and (the best part) the incorporation of cheap items one may never consider for such a project. From one Star Trek fan to another, I hope you never get burnt out doing this, because I am eating it up. And I know I'm not the only one.
Crafsman, whatchoo doin? You sound like my brand new friend Bill, right here. That comment don’t sound like you at all, but seein’s how you introduced me to Bill, it must be you are tryin’ to sound posh, like him. You be you Crafsman. Don’t forget to wear your ducksmask. We loves ya’ll, and keep on….. ….. ….. Steady ctraftin’ 💕
I love it! Watching you is like a day with grandmother in the 70’s. Back then we used pill bottles, TV guides, medicine cups, beads, paper clips and cigarette packages. We made a lot with very little and it was always fun!
With this build particularly I absolutely love how deranged it looks pre-priming. The white and blue and pink, the rhinestones and the green wire really speak to me.
I woke up yesterday night 3am and couldnt sleep. And RUclips decided to show me your channel. I am now in love with a new methode of upcycling. This is the best channel I could have found at 3am.
I think you can pop out any of the connections on the arms if they keep getting in the way. I realize I'm posting this halfway through the video and you likely are finished the build already, but just in case you have any time travel tech, maybe that will help. Cool!
Great episode Bill! I loved it! That foam texturing trick 😍 If it wasn’t so late and I wasn’t already curled up in bed I’d be in my craft room trying ALL the textures 😂 But….it’s cold….and you know…comfy….BUT tomorrow the foam is gonna get it!
I love your build but I think the biggest thing I watch for is your editing. It gives me early Nickelodeon mixed with pee-wee’s playhouse. It makes me so happy watching through your videos and getting the same feeling they gave me. Thank you!
You can just pop the arms out of there sockets. And pop them back later. But this information is worth as much as sand in a desert now when it's done. Great work!
Functional projects are always my favorite, so this was super cool to see! Some of those new techniques this time around were awesome, might have to try the foam texturing in the future, seems like it could be really versatile. Hope we'll see this guy holding things in some future videos!
Thought id let you know the valve part, along with the door its attached to, is called a bulkhead. Mostly cause you seemed to be unsure and i happen to be a nerd for that kind of stuff.
I've never seen any foam sheet available anywhere, but I've been using foam cups to make tiles, shingles, and metal plates for ages. I'm going to try adding heat to the mix next time I'm building. Thanks for that pro tip!
Bill needs helping hands...the curse wife the witch hands continues! Seriously though, great vid. Love your humor and now I need to think about getting a helping hand.
What I DID stick in those tiny little pots are cut pallions of solder in different grades. Super useful! But then I'm a silversmith, and need twenty different kinds of everything. :D
Kinda wonder how other crafting tools/ devices could be incorporated into the BMS Robot Crafting line...glue gun cannon? Not sure really. Great video though!
Ok, I suppose I need to build something like this now. The helping hands part is something I could always use and the idea that it's sort of a robot/critter/buddy sitting on my workbench just joyfully waiting to help out makes it even better.
I am curious about your location. Looks like the attic. Also appears as if you're cramped into the side near the lower part of the roof. How come such a tiny cramped space and not the entire attic, or at least a bigger portion of it? Or am I wrong entirely?
I Totally enjoy this format of building and commentary. This particular video has encouraged me to subscribe an also I'm totally thinking of making my 'hobby solder buddy' into a super cool character that fully functions🤔 thank you for much inspiration 🤗
You continue to surprise me about how much you know about my dad. Plus, another great piece of educational entertainment. Enter-cation? En-duca-ment? I suck at the Internet.
Kind of unfortunate the paint started to rub off the arms when you moved it around but the build is absolutely fantastic! And I definitely relate to the "I accidentally sat on it" part, lol.

This is my favorite bot of all your builds. Very helpful friend for you, but probably a devastating final boss on the junk planet.
Well now that you mention it... I have a helping hands bot now... so you can go back home. Thanks. Bye.
@@BillMakingStuff You've got it all mixed up. The bot replaces you and passes the glasses of warm milk down to me under the desk.
@@StudsonStudio ha!
I am so uncomfortable with the amount of insight we all now have into you two's relationship... Lol

The sound effects on these videos are so perfect, they really make it
"I'm gonna be honest, just before I shot this I sat on it"
Yes this is why this channel is so relatable XD
I say it how it is...
That montage of the robot holding stuff took you at least 30 minutes to shoot for .05 sec of footage. And it was worth it.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Why do I do it to myself?

I like Star Wars' Borg too. My favorite Jedi Borg is Gandalf.
That is a very athletically pleasing robot you made there
I know... hard to say
I greatly enjoy the irony that the most useful part of the robot was always getting in the way!
Another marvelous episode!
Thank you!

@@BillMakingStuff LOL LOL 😂 and yet, it’s true! She could always make something fun, out of seemingly nothing.

Your music is a delight Bill. Full of quirky foley work and pithy rhythms that somehow blend together seamlessly and melodiously! Nice handsy robot!
well thanks!
Good fun to be had here. Algorythm engagement achieved.

wow... Skill Share will be happy

Yeah time doesn't work like that...
Picard is my favorite Jedi
Mine too
Clicked that like 3 times and 1 extra just for you Bill!
Oh it seemed to get stuck in the wrong position but I clicked it once more and that seemed to fix it!
I'm keeping track
I love this! I really like how the light glows through all the wires around the eye too
Glad you noticed
Wow this build is super cute
Thanks
Time to build useful things for my shop!
Go for it!
Like it? NO. I LOVE IT! One of my personal favorites of yours.
I love you, Bill.
thanks...
I like the spinning bot shot at the beginning, it gets me a bit dizzy, but it's fun, especially when played in double playback speed.
You better not be watching this in double playback...
Clear resin half spheres... what a GENIUS effective idea 🟢💚🟢 love it
Thanks
Extra like for the number of Dad comments - fun build, enjoyed a lot
Thanks dad
Future episode idea: just Bill telling us about an amazing build he didn't film.
I would.

Cannot stress enough how much I love that intro music
Lovely, truly is the brightspot of my week when you upload
I'm so glad!
That green backglow looked fantastic
I loved the catchy one-liner at the beginning! Really made my day!
actually my favorite of your creations
YEEESSSS! No maker space is complete without a personified tool! Fantastic work, Bill!
Thanks!

Thanks
That priming moment… like magic. Ta-da!
What a great new friend, that'll hopefully be a great help. Congrats on the sponsor, and all the much deserved general support

Thanks 👍

I don't recall Borg in Star Wars. I must have missed that.🙂 I dig the music btw. Awesome episode Mr. Bill.
Thank you
Don’t tell starwars
I think that plastic wrapped wire is what they use to hang up big artwork on hooks
Treat your helper bot nicely. You don't won't it against you when the machines take over

Amazing work!
Glad you think so!
Love the build bill, keep it up dude

I like the Borg in Star Wars but the Daleks from Flash Gordon are cooler

Any ol craft shop should have them...
You should try black synthetic dye for things like those helpful articulating arms
Ill have to look it up. Thanks
best, intro, ever Bill
If you say so.
Again a awesome build my friend ! love the clear moulded rune stones affect at the end Great touch ! Well done 👍🏽
Thanks
That thing turned out awesome. I really like that idea so so cool.
Glad you like it!
You never disappoint with these builds. Amazing job 👍🏻
The arms are made of a similar stuff to doll boning. I'm sure you could make a tool to seperate them.
Awesome idea! I'm going to make one
It even has working wheels!
P.S. I saw that Lego Bill
he'll come back
Yay another episode!
Enjoy
Quite the handy little guy
Thanks for another ace vid Bill! How do you de-witch your fingers after a project? I tend to avoid super glue on my skin as much as I avoid your dad.
