Hey Dawid! A red USB port means it's either USB 3.1 Gen 2, or USB 3.2. These can also be orange. The color ties to the rating, and red USB ports will transfer data at 20Gbps or more. Blue would be 3.0, and teal ones are 3.1. USB 2.0 ports will always be black. Lenovo also uses (or used to use) a yellow usb port on some of their laptops, and that was close to the red, but it allowed continuous power draw, for charging other devices when the laptop itself wasn't on.
I bought the one he said seems like a better option at the end - the CyberPower with a Ryzen 5 3600. Very good so far, even (surprisingly) has a decent power supply. $600 on sale Edit - $600 was the black Friday price. Now it's $750 from Best Buy. Still worth it.
ruclips.net/video/a3S1BtciISw/видео.html This video is the same graphics card but with a generation older ryzen (ryzen 5 2600) I'd expect probably 20-30% better performance than this because of the increase in CPU power. For Total War - Warhammer it seems to be getting 50-60 fps on high settings, so I'd expect even more than that with this system.
If you're in Canada, canadacomputers has a service where you pick out the parts you want in a system and they'll charge you a $100-ish build fee to put it together. Pretty reasonable price, and you won't have to worry about cutting corners with PSUs and the like. It's a pretty reasonable option if you don't want to build a PC yourself.
My friend got a Cyberpower PC from Best Buy that's $600USD (He got it for $511 around black friday) and it has proper fans and vents, AMD Ryzen 3 2300X, Radeon RX 570 4GB, a 240GB SSD, a 1TB HDD, 8GB of slow 2666MHz RAM, and Full RGB in preset patterns. I have no idea what the MOBO, CPU cooler or PSU are though, but it seems to run fine for the price. I don't know if there are any cheaper ones out there that are better or worse.
Bought this system from MicroCenter in the Boston area. My specs are a somewhat different: 1TB Sata with Intel Optane 16gb; i7 8700 CPU; and Radeon RX 580 Graphics. Most of the other specs are the same. In the process of removing the bloatware (for now most of the apps are all turned off). I did upgrade the ram to 16gb and installed a $10 case to for outflow. At some point I may add an SSD but with the Intel Optane this computer boots up almost as quickly as my laptops with SSDs. I'm not a game and bought this computer to eventually run my Software Defined Radios and associated software. Currently I'm running them on a 5 year old HP dekstop (which is absolutely fine but I wanted something newer). So far I'm fairly happy with it. Paid $599 USD.
Lower end systems are usually left over from when they were high end systems or assembled from parts that were purchased when they were new and not sold at the time. This means that although the parts are somewhat dated or even obsolete, they actually cost the builders or vendors real money. So they can't discount the "lower powered" machines as much as someone would think. So yes, you can buy a computer that's been in someone's inventory for a year for less than it cost new, but not for less than it cost to build as no one wants to lose money on any product. Things get complicated when new products are an order of magnitude better than the last generation and the same price, so despite the discounts, you get on an "older type" new computer, you actually get a lot less bang for your buck. There may be savings to be had once a computer is totally obsolete and someone is trying to just clear warehouse space... but who would actually buy a 486 DX 33 system for anything today?
"You're probably best off reinstalling Windows." It's what we do at the company I work at, old windows install, drivers, too much bloatware. A reinstall just saves you from issues down the road.
I bought a ibuypower gaming PC off the shelf at BestBuy for $899. It came with a 250GB M.2 and a Samsung 250GB SSD and a 1tb HDD. i5+ 8th Gen. 16GBs DDR4 3600 ram. GeForce GTX 1660 graphics card. All in a cool RGB tempered glass case. I saved $400. I had to tweak the Bios, added my 2TB HDD from my 5 year old PC, and do better cable management. If I was to buy all the parts and build it myself would have cost $1,100. I got a great deal and had to do vary little to make it my way.
i bought my first gaming pc last week, did a ton of research and in the end purchased a 2017 asus strix GL702VSK for $550 usd. Has the top specs of that year and still runs all current games at ultra settings getting well over 100 fps. it has the Intel Core i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz with 12 GB of RAM DDR4 2400 with the GTX 1070 with 8Gb of DDR5 video memory. I've been playing WarZone on ultra settings on the smooth 120Hz panel this laptop comes with and cannot complain. Im still waiting for my addiional 8 gb RAM in the mail for a total of 16 gb and going to upgrade to an SSD soon. This thing is a beast even compared to this prebuilt PC from bestbuy that costs more than what i paid and most current pcs as well.
This case makes me think of those stick on hood/bonnet scoops you can get from auto parts stores. My personal favorite is when people apply 4X4 and/or turbo badges on something that is obviously not. But hey, it looks really cool right?
I recommended a best buy prebuilt to my buddy during holiday sales. It was discounted to 600 USD from its normal price point. The system has a ryzen 5 3600 and an RX 580 16gb 3200mhz ram and bronze rated psu. Mostly black interior, even cables were all black
I love watching these videos about the cheapest prebuilts because I love to see how these guys talk about how bad a 500 dollar PC is, even though in my currency it's like 8 thousand, and that's expensive
I spent just over 700 all my parts for my pc. I5-9400f, gtx1660 xc ultra, crucial p1 500gb nvme, 2x ddr4 8gb 2666mhz(mobo only supports that speed), mobo gigabyte b360m. I added 3 rgb case fans for an additionaly $50-60. It runs way better than what was it shown in this video.
@@DawidDoesTechStuff My Best Buy Acer Aspire pc has 12 GB of ram but I often wonder if it could use more. If you want I could show you which one it is (though it's not available on their store anymore)
an SSD, dual channel ram and 2 more case fans and this would actually be a good pc for almost no extra cost. It's such a pity big companies really don't care about reputation and quality products.
If you buy a prebuilt buy a one that makes sense...I bought mine from Best Buy on sale $1249 vs reg. $1349 and it's fantastic. I added an additional 1TB SSD as the PC came with 240GB and that is it... Came with a 2070 super dual fan with a nice over clock stock then I further over clocked it slightly, 16gb of 3000mz ram dual channel, water-cooled 3700x ryzen CPU built by CyberPowerPC and no bloat ware. The ram could be higher than 3000 but I've seen tests where 3000 or 3200 are the sweet spot. The motherboard may have been a better choice (I genuinely don't know as I have never messed with any other board) as I had to unseat my GPU to reach the data cable which as a novice was sketchy to do for the first time with something so expensive. Average temp is 74 degrees with the GPU overclocked. I researched my prebuilt for weeks as it is my first gaming PC and when I saw similarly priced PC's that had shit specs I knew those were buys intended only for novice and uninformed buyers.
Not gonna lie the acer N50 was my first gaming pc. It had an 8th gen i5 and a 6gb 1060 12gb 2333 ram. I had it about 6 months and learned how to build my own out of curiosity.
CyberPowerPC is one of the best pre-built companies there is imo. I got a PC from them, and it isn't the best, but it is definitely the best value for your money. Came with an SSD, hardrive, 16 GB ram, and everything else you would want for a $950 (US) PC. Again, it is still not better than building yourself, but at the time I didn't have the option, so it was the best I could do. I even priced out the parts and from what I could tell I was only being charged a little for setup.

I was considering buying this earlier this year, but I ultimately decided not to when the RTX 3000 series was announced, because suddenly building my own really good PC without winning the lottery seemed plausible. And now I'm happy I decided against this one, since I was one of the lucky few who actually managed to get an RTX 3070
I just built an I3 10100 RX580 8GB PC for 450$ with monitor included and it is better than this and costs around 40-ish% less. So this PC doesn’t quite set the bar all too high for what it is supposed to be. Which is a mid range PC but it seems like a low end pc on a mid range budget.
That pc you showed at 10:53 would of been 100x better for the money I’m assuming the value was shown in US, so in Canadian it would of costed about 50 - 100 dollars more. But when ur already spending 700 dollars just 50 dollars more for the gap in performance between those two computers is incomparable. I hope you found that computer after you bought the acer one.
Fuuuun fact: I’ve been using this same pc for around a year now, I can confidently say I love it, that might just be it’s because practically my first pc but shh. Honestly I like it, it runs vr ok and I’ve really only had a few problems with it
I bought this same PC, same price, and it has not gave me any issues. Of course, spending more money would give me a “better” playing experience, but it’s working well for me.
These videos are great and that wallet was sweet. Just got the parliament merlot red w/tracker for $85, it was $44 off with the code stay-home and the bundle discount. I used your affiliate link, count it!
imo, lenovo legion t530 and t730 lines are the best prebuilts, both for low end and high end gaming, they start with a Ryzen 5 and GTX 1650, and the best ones have a i9 9900K and RTX 2080, these pc's don't have small mini gpus, but full size gpus. The whole T730 series is aircooled and a watercooled cpu. Only bad thing is maybe the higher price, in my country they start at 999 euro for a Ryzen 5 3600, gtx 1650 or 1660s, 500GB SSS, 1TB HDD, but it is still a rlly good pc,
@10:55 "...and subscribe to the channel if you wanna see a video where I make two small changes to the system to make it significantly better..." Let me guess, RAM and SSD?
The fact that it doesn’t have case fans was kinda sidelined but it is important. In hot countries around SEA these things wouldn’t live long in the hands of someone who doesn’t monitor temps. This is mind boggling considering the hardware they put. Yes it’s a low-mid tier spec sheet but they still require some case ventilation; a single 120 exhaust fan would’ve been enough.. Even 300$ prebuilts have exhausts come on Acer
Do you have a video on a computer set up just for streaming console gaming? How much would a computer run for that? Looking for something I can upgrade down the road if I plan on pc gaming
I'm looking to play esports titles, but also maybe dabble in AAA single player games How do you feel about this, can you benchmark something similar to this, how futureproof is this, where can i improve in the build? Really looking for extremely high FPS and Ultra High settings.
Fake intake grill? (time to drill some holes!) Add an exhaust fan, stick of ram, And SSD for gaming bliss? How much extra would that cost to fix and retest in best light? Thanks Dawid for the review.
you live near me! i’m at the point where i’m deciding whether i should build my own rig or hit micro for a prebuilt. Building would (could?) be cheaper than a prebuilt, but i’m also brand new to this, and any human error on my part could cost me more $ down the road. I’m not stupid when it comes to computers, but i’ve never built one before. Advice?
I got a prebuild from best buy in 2016 it was an ibuypower and the only thing that remains on it today from is the motherboard, cpu and psu I upgraded the rest. it is a well built system and still playing the latest games.
I know ima look a bit dumb for asking this, im about to buy this pc it contains a r5 3500 and gtx 1650 Its good for me but the only thing im not sure about is if it has windows installed on it, like do i have to purchase a windows system do it can boot up or does it come with windows, i need answer from u guys as soon as u can pls :)
I have an HP pavilion gaming laptop, and it isn’t the greatest. The hard drive broke after just two year of having it, and I had to take apart the whole thing to replace it with an SSD. And the cooling is atrocious, with the CPU sitting at 90 degrees Celsius, and the GPU around 80 degrees Celsius while gaming. The whole computer can most likely cook an egg on top of where the speaker grille is at (that’s where the system is hottest to the touch) during an intense gaming session.

1:45 Giggity.
"Swag for the Fortnite", yes I feel very apealed xD
"You're probably best off reinstalling Windows."
It's what we do at the company I work at, old windows install, drivers, too much bloatware.
A reinstall just saves you from issues down the road.
When he gets sponsored by a wallet company but I can’t get one or I won’t use one because I don’t have money in the first place

Grey : powersupply oh shit its going to explode

“just listen to that letter sound” my brain: “W A L L E T”
This case makes me think of those stick on hood/bonnet scoops you can get from auto parts stores. My personal favorite is when people apply 4X4 and/or turbo badges on something that is obviously not. But hey, it looks really cool right?
We have an all acer gaming setup
The Logitech mousepad in the bg:
I recommended a best buy prebuilt to my buddy during holiday sales. It was discounted to 600 USD from its normal price point. The system has a ryzen 5 3600 and an RX 580 16gb 3200mhz ram and bronze rated psu. Mostly black interior, even cables were all black
3:06 I never asked to be called out so specifically.
I love watching these videos about the cheapest prebuilts because I love to see how these guys talk about how bad a 500 dollar PC is, even though in my currency it's like 8 thousand, and that's expensive
They should at least ad a SDD for the system and 2 sticks of ram, even if It was only 8GB
Vinicius Lisboa mines came with a 500 ssd and 12 gb of ram
I have the same CPU with SSD and more ram for the same price 🤔

2024 dawid, bro the old u missed the chicken lmao😭😭🗣️🗣️🔥🔥
Out of context but Rip to the people that bought a $1000 prebuilt from Amazon
Why do you say that?
I spent just over 700 all my parts for my pc. I5-9400f, gtx1660 xc ultra, crucial p1 500gb nvme, 2x ddr4 8gb 2666mhz(mobo only supports that speed), mobo gigabyte b360m. I added 3 rgb case fans for an additionaly $50-60. It runs way better than what was it shown in this video.

Those bad stutters in fortnite are down to the servers, they have been having major issues with the server load since Corona kicked in.
Oh okay. That is a good point. 😊 In EFT it definitely made a difference adding extra RAM.
@@DawidDoesTechStuff My Best Buy Acer Aspire pc has 12 GB of ram but I often wonder if it could use more. If you want I could show you which one it is (though it's not available on their store anymore)
@@Sirdeathvids yes, more is better. i have 12 gb but in reality only 9gb usable if u check your system.

Similar to nail fungus, I wasn't excited when I first discovered you. Unlike the fungus, I've come to really enjoy you after growing on me.
disgusting
Bro this video is actually hilarious hahah as always so entertaining!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :D
Ngl that's a dope ass wallet
In Canada, last I checked, you could actually shop at physical Best Buys. At least certain ones.
"lisssen toh ta lether sooound"
You gots to lisssen
an SSD, dual channel ram and 2 more case fans and this would actually be a good pc for almost no extra cost. It's such a pity big companies really don't care about reputation and quality products.
I thought this was an April Fools joke...
I actually forgot it was April 1st today. 😂
So did I, and it's my birthday! (Applies to both comments) 🎁🇦🇺😎

I basically seen this get posted it was weird
That is very convenient, thanks for dropping by. :D
@@DawidDoesTechStuff no problem I enjoy your videos, you got your own thing going on compared to everyone else
Not gonna lie the acer N50 was my first gaming pc. It had an 8th gen i5 and a 6gb 1060 12gb 2333 ram. I had it about 6 months and learned how to build my own out of curiosity.
My life is simple. I see DavidDoesTechStuffVideo, i click it.
Awww, you flatter me. :D
Da weed
For 700 dollars that's a steal. I couldn't even find a pc with a graphics card at this price on my country online.
My friend bought this pc yesturday and I said he got ripped off
If you buy a prebuilt you're getting ripped lol.
Oh my god 700USD for this absolute trash of a PC it's a crime!
My pc is like 700$ and yea
It runs for example battlefield 1 at ultra settings 60fps+
Prebuilts are just fkn bad
@@sebyg0466 my prebuilt for 500 is a 1.2 TB hdd+ssd with gtx1650 and 8gb ram runs at 267 fps in league and at 180 in rainbow so ehh depends who u get it from dude
@@YouAreJaded is it a cyberpowerpc
@@95bloc97 nope I bought it from Ebay I can show screenshots if ud like
@@YouAreJaded sure. I was just wondering what kind it was since I see them at best buy all the time
I was considering buying this earlier this year, but I ultimately decided not to when the RTX 3000 series was announced, because suddenly building my own really good PC without winning the lottery seemed plausible. And now I'm happy I decided against this one, since I was one of the lucky few who actually managed to get an RTX 3070
Me laughing when my laptop cost more than this
I just built an I3 10100 RX580 8GB PC for 450$ with monitor included and it is better than this and costs around 40-ish% less.
Pre-built shaming, one of my favourite hobbies...
Haha!! It's a good time. 😁
Fuuuun fact: I’ve been using this same pc for around a year now, I can confidently say I love it, that might just be it’s because practically my first pc but shh. Honestly I like it, it runs vr ok and I’ve really only had a few problems with it
can it run grand theft auto 5?
@@warmly323 LMAO are u fckin kidding me? Did you see those titles? Gta 5? Really? And that too what a question, can it run?
Rise eh I haven’t tried gta 5 yet
They told me at my local best buy no one had bought this for over 4 months and that one person who bought it returned in two days
Could you do a video on the best pre builds at a decent price at best buy or maybe other stores in other videos?
im on a similar PC right now. acer gx-785-ur1b. im extremely happy with it being that i bought it off someone on letgo for $475
The fact that it doesn’t have case fans was kinda sidelined but it is important.
Use windows debloater powershell script from github. It does a fantastic job on freeing up resources and getting rid of unneeded software.
Do you have a video on a computer set up just for streaming console gaming? How much would a computer run for that? Looking for something I can upgrade down the road if I plan on pc gaming
I'm looking to play esports titles, but also maybe dabble in AAA single player games
How do you feel about this, can you benchmark something similar to this, how futureproof is this, where can i improve in the build?
Advice?
0:10 Best Buy or a worst buy...😂💀
I know I'm a little late currently but Ekster wallets really are nice, I bought mine about 2 months ago and have had no regrets in buying it
I got a prebuild from best buy in 2016 it was an ibuypower and the only thing that remains on it today from is the motherboard, cpu and psu I upgraded the rest. it is a well built system and still playing the latest games.
"A long list of terrible rubbish" lol :) This vid was funny.
I know ima look a bit dumb for asking this, im about to buy this pc it contains a r5 3500 and gtx 1650
Its good for me but the only thing im not sure about is if it has windows installed on it, like do i have to purchase a windows system do it can boot up or does it come with windows, i need answer from u guys as soon as u can pls :)
I just got a refurb Dell, i5 , 16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD for $350 on amazon. Deals are there if you look for them.
