God I miss how silly, creative, and fun the 6th was. Wasn’t enough to just look good - and they knew that. So they used a great base in the engine and went from there. Love it.
It coincides with the death of AA gaming. All the really cool, experimental and off the wall games came from medium sized budgets but now much like Hollywood the gaming industry only does massive AAA games or tiny indie titles. There are a bunch of indie developers still doing cool things but few have the budget to fuily realize their vision.
I was too young when I played this to really understand the implications of engines and how video games actually worked in general. This is fascinating to learn about as I played Halo 2 for thousands of hours, to the point where even the blood effects in this game are instantly recognisable to me.
Another Xbox game I only got a few years ago when I started collecting again. Was aware of it back in the day from magazine ads. And what an experience I missed out on...a right laugh with great gameplay.
Stubbs really brings an homage to old zombie horror films. Looks very fun and playing as a goofy zombie is indeed fun to watch. The remaster came, so I can definitely check this game out.
Since you're an Xbox channel (albeit a retro one), I would love to see your take on the whole Xbox fiasco that everyone is talking about. Would you make a video to discuss about it?
I'm a little hesitant to talk about modern Xbox because it's such a hot controversial topic and I feel like I'm a little more neutral on it than some might want to hear. If there is interest though I might think about writing something up.
Fantastic video! I love this game but it’s been a while since I played it, watching your video reminded me why I loved it so much. The unique gameplay, great visuals and art direction, great music and I totally forgot about the vehicles lol and I love the 1950’s aesthetic. I’m gonna have to play through this again now lol Great job!
Me and my brother both got to pick a new game to buy and play together and I let him pick and he chose Stubbs. We tried it and loved it but we ended up staying up all night and putting some hours in just to never touch it again idk why
Really fun game never had the full game on the Original Xbox, I’ve only played the demo of it and since played the remastered version on the Series X, getting the OG Xbox version is expensive.
Thanks allot. Because of your and your video i just bought this lol. 50 bucks for a complete near perfect copy though. I could've got the remaster for like 30 but i had to play the original lol
I went on a collection spree a few years back for my xbox. In CEX the average price was about £1 - 5 per game so i got quite a few games, i saw this game but was shocked that it was £75! I had never heard about this game before, but obviously someone in CEX knew the collector value of the game. It looks pretty fun and unique.
The way you could take the hand and take over enemies was quite neat, reminding me of the possession tether in Metal Arms! And the scale of some of the battles was epic.
Camp Xbox time I’ve seen and have all NTSC consoles from 1980-Now your channel is what got me back into my Microsoft consoles I’ve been on a Xbox xbox 360 and Xbox one kick as of late I’m more of a Sega and Sony guy enjoy the day
@@campxbox it is, I'm a huge sports gamer and the original Xbox has some amazing sports games (which never get any respect, hence my name). I grew up on NHLPA '93 and NBA Live '95, etc. on the Sega Genesis because Sega had the best sports games and the Xbox was the best of that console generation. I still play my OG Xbox- so its cool to see another OG Xbox fan too. Btw I like your videos because you're entertaining without being annoying. Good job, thats hard for people to do apparently. 😅
If you’re using some cheap HDMI solution like the Pound cables it can make the image too dark. Best is to use Component or RGB Scart through Retrotink 5X or Retrotink 4K. Sure, more expensive, but totally worth it.
Very underrated game, I missed it back in the day but I got to play it a few years ago and I absolutely loved it. Glad you're covering it man! Keep it up with the awesome content!

Couldn't agree more. Many games took fun creative chances and threw everything at the wall.

@@campxboxwill you play Destroy All Humans next. Both of them.
@@Mankey619 I can add them to my recommendation list. I'd love to cover them. I have fond memories of the first one.
bro i played this game so hard when i was a kid. thank you for unlocking an old memory man 🙏🏽
I dont know if yoive already done a video on Whacked. If u havent id love to see one. It was the first Xbox game i played

The death animation too. It's insane!
Another Xbox game I only got a few years ago when I started collecting again.

Yeah it was a game that a lot of people missed out on and I'm happy its gained more notoriety with time.
Is the PS4 version of this game the same as the original Xbox version or have there been some changes done to it when it was remastered...?
This era had the funniest games between this, Destroy All Humans, And Bully are my top funniest games.
i have seen this game many times but i have never tried it, gotta get my totally legal copy on the harddrive of my xbox
👀

Good game but you should buy the remastered version
Ah, stubbs the zombie. Xbox answer to nintendos pikmin. This game deserves a remake
Youre soon hitting 10k yaay ❤ Solid review, thanks for providing so much good quality xbox content
Thank you for watching and supporting the channel!

@@campxbox color me interested 😀
This game is still in my top 10 of all time!
Fantastic game to have in your top 10!
Oh man when going for a full set of Xbox i paid £48 for this 3 years ago, thanks to the remaster its now worth £18 😂
Great game & great show 👊🏻
It was one of those surprise remasters, I never expected it to happen. Thank you for watching!
@@campxbox I love Xbox original so i found the right channel, keep sharing your love for it 👊🏻
Same here. I got this way before the remaster was announced. Oh well. It’s a fun game so no regrets. Btw did you complete your full set?
I'll never forget peeing in that water
I bought this game for PS4
This one looks fun, never played it. Is it bc by chance?
Its bc on the 360 but not on anything else. The remaster is available on all modern consoles and pc though.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. It was so much fun going back and revisiting it! I'm sure you'll have just as much fun.
I’m currently writing a Sequel on Wattpad.
This game was amazing

Yeah it's not worth the price hike when the remaster exists.

I think the 6th generation of consoles may be my favorite.
THANK YOU🙏
one of my favorite childhood games that i could never finish lol

This game reminds me of the original 2 destroy all humans and saints row games
Can't say I'm interested in ever learning more about this one. Just reeks of trying way too hard.
Such a good game also didn’t the soundtrack win some type of award
The Farts in this game were killer. one of my favorites on the OG and so glad I have a copy of it
Have you played Dr. Muto? So many gems of the era
Not a sequel at all but Dead Head Fred was a great zombie game for the PSP with a strange premise of gameplay. Worth checking it out of you can.
I've been meaning to play that one!
I have this for the switch haven't played but I have seen my sob pull someone's arm off and beat them with it lol
Played it on the original Xbox when it came out. Shit was sick af
Soooooo is there a mod to add the levels from this game into Halo, or what?
The way you could take the hand and take over enemies was quite neat, reminding me of the possession tether in Metal Arms! And the scale of some of the battles was epic.
Great connection! I really need to cover Metal Arms!
I thought you had replied but can't read it now :€ ...anway please do a vid on it!!!
This reminds me of Dead Head Fred for some reason.
STUBBS! I never got to play this fully, I only ever got to play the demo on a demo disc!
Is not too late!
Songs are fantastic, such a shame it isn't in the remake.
THIS GAME NEEEEEEEEEEEDS THE DEADSPACE REMAKE TREATMENT!!

1:42 that sounds like an excuse to pay devs even less and/or not provide benefits like health insurance or overtime. Fun.
With it being too dark are you playing your xbox with hdmi? I noticed mine was too dark and had to switch back to analogue.
Mine as well! If the game does not have a brightness slider then I'm screwed and can't play it.
