If you didn't know, the voice actor of Tex went on to play Zaeed in the Mass Effect series. The boss guy in the cutscenes is also voice by the dude who played Wrex in Mass Effect.
I like how Tex had his own unique appearance with a massive power armor suit and a full-length Gatling gun... Which they then removed for two small mini guns and generic body armor... Oh wait no that should be the other way around. 🤔🙄
I've never seen a game introduce a stealth character as being completely shit at stealth because she's uses the loudest and brightest equipment possible.
I think the issue is her invisibility runs out too quick and her health is too low. They treat the character like a DND character, but it makes her the least useful in actual gameplay.
Hey thanks for being a content creator that's enjoyable in his own right, but has videos of Matt Hazard and Brute Force and other weird xbox only games that the world REFUSES to remember. You do good work bossman.
I somehow found this game when I was a kid and I really enjoyed it. In Grade 6 we had to write a short story for an assignment and I ended up writing about this game. My teacher loved all the characters and looking back I realize I kind of plagiarized and he definitely thought I came up with everything. If that's not a memory to make a game memorable I don't know what is.
I remember playing this game with my sisters, I was Tex and my sisters where the girls while a friend of theirs was Brutus, and I loving it. Though now I wish it was rebooted, with deeper lore about the worlds and people in it.
Great game. I remember getting this game and playing through it with neighborhood friends, way back in 2003. We also played the multi-player extensively. Great memories
I remember being OBSESSED with this game despite not having an XBox, to the point where I bought the tie-in novel. Any sci-fi shooter with a quirky team is right up my alley. Sad to think it wasn't worth the time.
I remember this game. My brother loved it, he'd randomly shout "Brute Force!" b/c of it. We played musical chairs one and he pushed his friend off the last chair and shouted "brute force!" Good times. Also, Brutus' lines are GOLD. I didn't realize he was such an edge lord when I was a kid XD
yeeeah brutus was the weird kid acting cool all the time, and failing at it. i remember noticing how everyone almost always sandabgs anything he ever says.
Ah yes, the game where I told myself I somehow corrupted a save on the swamp level, so it wouldn't let me finish, but I went back two years ago and realized the layout was just so weird I just got confused
When I worked at EB games we had so many copies of this game in the country it had like 50 cents trade in value. It became a running joke to try and transfer copies of it other stores whenever they asked for other xbox games. I even had a bet with a coworker to see who could sell the most copies of it in a month
I love how the intros are all about the characters getting their asses kicked. Brutus charges head first into an enemy base and is captured, and the other two just fucking die! What a weird choice lol
The Crosshair on this game was the same as the Assault Rifle on Halo. That's about the only link I made between it and Halo. But used to play it a lot with friends and my brothers when we were kids.
This game was insane back in the days. I used to play this game with my little brother for like a week cause we rent it at the video club, but we didnt beat the game in less than a week but we had an amazing time playing this game haha 🤣
Brute Force was also a Marvel Comic series that was trying to advertise a toy series that never came to be. The comics were sort of popular to bring back the Brute Force to fight deadpool, yes seriously. Be hilarious if this game WAS tied into the comics but which of course it isn't
I remember this one. It was just before xbox live. I found a forum with some software that would let you hook your xbox up to a pc and it tricked it to think it was connected via LAN, but you could actually play with anyone anywhere. At the time I thought "well this is it" but man look where we are now!
It's so ironic, was playing this game yesterday on my original xbox and decided to look it up today. Nice surprise to see this video after being released 1 hour ago.
The two games I always shout out are The Bouncer and Brute Force. The Bouncer I legit like, Brute Force I remember liking it but also only played it at a friend's house at launch. Lizard man was cool.
I came home from school one day to a brand new xbox and 2 games one of which was brute force and was one of my favorite games... Though i could never beat it
Kind of wish I didn't watch this vid. I had super good memories of this game as a kid and loved the lizard guy. Seeing it today it looks so damn rough around the edges. My Nostalgia filter really made this one alot more cleaning my head. Glad things like Halo still amaze me and immerse me after all these years.
I HAD TO LOOK THIS GAME UP THE OTHER DAY BECAUSE I REMEMBERED IT BUT COULDNT REMEMBER THE NAME AND IT WAS LIKE A WAVE OF WEIRD NOSTALGIA THANK YOU FOR THIS MATT
If you didn't know, the voice actor of Tex went on to play Zaeed in the Mass Effect series. The boss guy in the cutscenes is also voice by the dude who played Wrex in Mass Effect.
This game was criminally underrated. Multiplayer was so good and unique so good
They need to remaster it!
This is a deep memory you've drudged up.
I had so much fun with this game, aside from the final boss.
I got stuck on the seer level got two of my boys to play and they all liked brutus so we all were coloured lizards fucking around and I lost the CD
Well, said. I don't regret playing this. Flint and Brutus were the way to go.
Holy crap. You have no idea. Got curious and finally found this
i know it's kinda randomly asking but does anybody know of a good site to watch new series online ?
Mountain Dew Livewire and this game, welcome to the summer of 2003.
The coop is pretty good and the splitscreen was amazing since it was squad vs squad combat and you could switch freely between your members.
Facts 👍
I liked how Tex started out hating on his squad mates but eventually warmed up to them.
I like how Tex had his own unique appearance with a massive power armor suit and a full-length Gatling gun... Which they then removed for two small mini guns and generic body armor... Oh wait no that should be the other way around. 🤔🙄
*Throws flashbang, immediately gets spotted again staring directly at pursuers*
I've never seen a game introduce a stealth character as being completely shit at stealth because she's uses the loudest and brightest equipment possible.
I think the issue is her invisibility runs out too quick and her health is too low. They treat the character like a DND character, but it makes her the least useful in actual gameplay.
Brute Force Members: Johnathan Brute, Girl, Girl 2 and Lizard Johnson.
*White girl and *Black girl, thank you very much
You’re wrong. I’ll always remember Hawke
Hey thanks for being a content creator that's enjoyable in his own right, but has videos of Matt Hazard and Brute Force and other weird xbox only games that the world REFUSES to remember. You do good work bossman.
My friend in middle school told me this was the sequel to Halo and I believed him until I played it
I somehow found this game when I was a kid and I really enjoyed it. In Grade 6 we had to write a short story for an assignment and I ended up writing about this game. My teacher loved all the characters and looking back I realize I kind of plagiarized and he definitely thought I came up with everything. If that's not a memory to make a game memorable I don't know what is.
Thats a cool memory indeed
Huh, the graphics of this game actually looks kinda nice for 2003 standards.
I was thinking that myself
They have a good use of bump mapping and specular mapping.
It was an Xbox exclusive so it used it pretty well.
Digital Anvil was Chris Roberts' studio, the one that made Freelancer.
Which MS had to step in as he was over-budget, over-promising, and long past all deadlines.
At the end, they became "Brute Force: Lemming Squad"
I remember playing this game with my sisters, I was Tex and my sisters where the girls while a friend of theirs was Brutus, and I loving it. Though now I wish it was rebooted, with deeper lore about the worlds and people in it.
Great game. I remember getting this game and playing through it with neighborhood friends, way back in 2003. We also played the multi-player extensively. Great memories
That one game at the flea market that's always there, but no body buys it.
I never see it it’s probably madden that I see 😂.
OMG!!! My older brother had this game at launch an i would sneak in his room to play when he was gone good times!
😂💀
Oh god, I never expected to see anything on this game. I played it as much as halo and miss it so much.
I just brought this game off eBay because i owned it when i was younger so i love this game even though it's not perfect - so what😁.
I loved this game as a teen.
This takes me back.
Although the stealth missions suuuucked
Literally the _only_ thing I remember about this game was that line, "they'll always leave the last medkit for you."
Nostalgic . Me and my brother used to play this back to back . The versus mode was fun as well as the story . Underrated gem right here .
I remember being OBSESSED with this game despite not having an XBox, to the point where I bought the tie-in novel. Any sci-fi shooter with a quirky team is right up my alley. Sad to think it wasn't worth the time.
It was definitely worth the time
The demos thing reminded me back during the GameCube era, Luigi’s mansion had one for Pikmin which got me hooked on that series, great time
Every single line from Brutus in cutscenes is gold.
"My Love For You Is Like A Truck Berserker!"
absolutely love this game. Getting 4 player co-op was fantastic, played this game for hours
Ah yes, the game where I told myself I somehow corrupted a save on the swamp level, so it wouldn't let me finish, but I went back two years ago and realized the layout was just so weird I just got confused
yeah, level design in this game was crap. it was made worse because everything looks the same no matter what you're looking at.
2:36 the proper way to say berserker
I got brute force flashbacks again. I loved this game.
When I worked at EB games we had so many copies of this game in the country it had like 50 cents trade in value. It became a running joke to try and transfer copies of it other stores whenever they asked for other xbox games. I even had a bet with a coworker to see who could sell the most copies of it in a month
Yo!! This game was cool as fuck! I remember being able to play as literally any enemy/character that appeared in the game in the multiplayer mode.
I love how much of the UI is clearly inspired from Halo
Bruh I liked this game when I was a kid, that morrowind, halo, ssx tricky, dues ex invisible war and jet set radio. Such good memories
Tex looked more bummed and hurt than angry that he was left behind
i feel like every one of your videos has a limp bizkit reference in it and i love it
Say what you will my buddy and I played the hell out of this coop style.
This game was a huge part of my childhood!! This and fable.
Dude your energy is so chaotic, I love it haha.
miss this game. I remember going back to brutus's homeworld and never gettin passed it
also the demo Teo fang was actually really good as well
Damn this game was amazing to the point that I felt slightly guilty about all the content and free DLC it came with.
One of my favorite games growing up. The squad vs. squad gameplay was so fun and the campaign was enjoyable as well. Highly underrated in my opinion.
Wow this game was cool af remember playing this when I was younger. Indeed old now
Same here my weeb friend same here
Yeah I was like 9 lol I’m 29 now
I remember playing this game on my Dads original Xbox and brings back so many memories
I love how the intros are all about the characters getting their asses kicked. Brutus charges head first into an enemy base and is captured, and the other two just fucking die! What a weird choice lol
My aunt bought me the novelization of this game, it was surprisingly ok.
I wanna play this game again
They gave Hawk her own cutscene just so she can be bad at her whole gimmick in full motion.
Pretty cool that you can switch characters on the fly, I liked it.
I love the Y2K aesthetic that this and so many other OG Xbox (and Dreamcast) games had for menus.
The Crosshair on this game was the same as the Assault Rifle on Halo. That's about the only link I made between it and Halo. But used to play it a lot with friends and my brothers when we were kids.
Umm, so I just got a random memory of myself playing this a long time ago and found it in less than 5mins by typing "soilder and lizard game"
I never even knew this game existed, but I DEFINITELY saw that lizard render on display at Blockbuster
This game was insane back in the days. I used to play this game with my little brother for like a week cause we rent it at the video club, but we didnt beat the game in less than a week but we had an amazing time playing this game haha 🤣
This was my favorite game when I was a kid love this one wish they did a sequel
I remember getting hyped over the lizard man, but that's about it.
I bought this game and played it with a friend also remember is running around on four legs with the lizard guy sometimes
I remember reptile guy, alien world, and it feeling like a slow pace unreal tournament.
Brutus was literally the only reason why I bought Brute Force, every game should have a badass lizardman.
Brute Force was also a Marvel Comic series that was trying to advertise a toy series that never came to be. The comics were sort of popular to bring back the Brute Force to fight deadpool, yes seriously. Be hilarious if this game WAS tied into the comics but which of course it isn't
Miss this game, I actually liked the concept and game play
I need a spiritual remaster of this! Such a cool game in its time. Brutus was the shit
Mercenaries 1 is pretty fun open world game. That or Crimson Skies, High Road to Revenge. Thats a pretty fun game
I have the soundtrack, and I'm a little surprised the game was actually released.
I demand you play Urban Chaos: Riot Response for my pleasure!
@@BadgerCommander owww which one?
Best user picture ever lmao
@@TonyBolognaUSA man's a legend RIP
I played this game so much as a kid. I loved it, playing co op with my friends will always be a great memory :)
I remember this one. It was just before xbox live. I found a forum with some software that would let you hook your xbox up to a pc and it tricked it to think it was connected via LAN, but you could actually play with anyone anywhere. At the time I thought "well this is it" but man look where we are now!
need to see more of Brutus and friends.
me and my bro loved this game
I can't believe they literally referred to the lizard people as "Noble savages"
Love this game and would play it again for sure! I love Brutus!
YES! I loved Brute Force back in the day!
Holy Shit. Taking it WAY back ❤️
So much for “halo killer”
Microsoft gives up on there first-party IPs too quickly, this game was good one of my favorite childhood games right next to Halo
I miss this era of gaming, 2000-2005
7:12- “you know what time it is......”- beat drop “throw throw throw your hands throw your hands up!”
This was the first xbox game I ever played.
I came home from school one day to a brand new xbox and 2 games one of which was brute force and was one of my favorite games... Though i could never beat it
9:12 FARTY PYRO 💨
I remember the trailer for this game being so cool when I was little lol
I remember owning this but my brother and sister wouldn't let me play as anyone cool
LOL I remember my sister always made me the lame silver dudes at the beginning
Kind of wish I didn't watch this vid. I had super good memories of this game as a kid and loved the lizard guy. Seeing it today it looks so damn rough around the edges. My Nostalgia filter really made this one alot more cleaning my head. Glad things like Halo still amaze me and immerse me after all these years.
Everyone has their first real video game as a kid. Brute Force was my first real video game.
I wouldn't mind seeing a full playthrough by Matt.
Wow. I remember playing the whole game on the coop mode and battling it out with friends.
The title was the only way i was able to find the gaMe😂😂
Oohhh I remember this game. I use to rent it off and on. It's at it's best with 4 player coop
I HAD TO LOOK THIS GAME UP THE OTHER DAY BECAUSE I REMEMBERED IT BUT COULDNT REMEMBER THE NAME AND IT WAS LIKE A WAVE OF WEIRD NOSTALGIA THANK YOU FOR THIS MATT
#1 game I would love to have MS remake.
Man, the Hunter Lord was hype as shit.
Best memories playing multiplayer
Loved this game back in the day
The commander sounds like buzz lightyear
Lmao I also remember this game because of the lizard guy on the box
This brings back memories. This game was awesome.
Too this wasn’t popular enough to warrant a remaster.
This game feels like it was made for people like Vin Diesel too play.
I have fond memories of co op with my friend on this game
