Excellent demonstration for two handed BH . I like the way you demonstrate . It is absolutely amazing . I am a PTR tennis coach and I find your demo. very effective
Hvala puno - potpuno nova perspektiva sa koje sada vidim backhand! Ovaj savjet da se koncentriram na doljnji dio reketa kod follow-through-a cu sutra odmah isprobati :o)! Pozdrav iz HR!
Your teaching knowledge is fantastic. I would kindly suggest a different mic however as sometimes it was difficult to hear your great detailed instructions on this particular video.
Fantastic teaching. I always struggled to drive through the ball with poor turn and mentally fixated on the racquet head in the swing. Your tips about imagining holding a heavy racquet with the unit turn and focusing on the handle in has helped me no end. Simple mental picture but so effective. Keep up the good work.
Great tips, thanks you! Just found my flaw…the back foot was planted…unlocking the back foot and pivoting changed everything! Great reminder on opening up at the finish too.
Thanks, means a lot. Yes, I didn't mention here situation on the run, but definitely tips on the handle awareness and "leading with edge" help a lot there!
Great session! I noticed that hitting closed to body is more stable but was not sure if it's correct until watching this video. Question: why does the bottom edge lead the racket of the two-handed backhand while the top edge leads rackets in forehand? I'm sure that concept is correct but not sure why. Can we hit a thin top spin by bottom edge leading ?
Detailed demonstration of key elements of double backhand. I liked the racket head drop technique. I struggle with this part, grip changes for me while dropping racket head. Can you give tips on double backhand serve return technique as well?
Thanks for the video, excellent lesson! Just a tip, sometimes it is hard to hear you; to fix it, one suggestion would be to record the video and later you can record your voice over it.
I like the thought process to focus on the lower part of the hoop coming thru then over rather than forcing the racquet flipping over (windshield wiper). I have students really focus on the flip and it makes their shots anorexic. I have to say I’ve never taught the contact point on the racquet for the BH is closer to the throat “inside” the sweet spot. I teach aiming to contact in the upper 1/3rd of the hoop on the 2nd or 3rd trailing string basically where the dead zone is, and where the racquet/ball contact “moment of inertia” is the highest. Because I respect your videos and teaching dynamics I will have to try the feel of aiming for contact inside as you mention. Any further clarification as to why you are suggesting the contact point as you do would be appreciated.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Regarding the contact near the throat of the racquet, I mentioned in a video that center of mass of the racquet is around the throat of the racquet so hitting closer to that area would give more solid grip on the ball and controlled drive. I've felt it quite clear. Let me know how it goes once you try it!
Yes, the key here is that closer to the throat, the racket has over twice as much power near the COM... you can't make this up with a tiny bit of extra racket speed at the tip. Also, if that racket head speed way more at the tip, you are not swinging correctly anyway... you should be swinging more the whole racket and not just rotating the tip around. Good to see him using our CongruentTennis.com "Lag to Drag" by using more focus on dragging the handle as well at the improved slot entry we shared with him. He has to adjust the foot on his 3rd tip because he didn't load the hip properly to start with. That fifth step is named well, but he has the wrong edge. It is exactly like on serve where you should lead with the top edge, but closer to the throat and then set that blade.... no dishing out during the contact as he shows. The racket face should be nearly rigid in how it used during the contact... No rolling over the top OR dishing under as he shows.
About tip number 4, what do we do with balls that we are forced to hit out of the zone that you mentioned? For example, low balls that are a little bit too close and in front of you.
Great video! I think a good way to teach is to try to show what you as a pro feel like when you hit the plan cleanly. Easier to understand as an amateur that what kind of skills are needed to progress as fast as possible. PS: I'd recommend buying a separate mic to improve your audio quality. :) A lot of noise so it mixes into the video quite heavily.
Awesome teaching points for more advanced backhand, however point 5 a little confusing. Not really clear what the optimal swing path is ! MANY THANKS AS ALWAYS
Milan you are super talented in teaching .. leading with the lower edge made the difference for my bh 💥Thanks so much !!
Very nice video and explanation! thank you!
Excellent - Perfect Pro level demo from a ball drop detailing all aspects of the shot. I would not be surprise if this guy was on the ATP tour.

Amazing tips and very important specially backhand on the run.
Thanks, means a lot. Yes, I didn't mention here situation on the run, but definitely tips on the handle awareness and "leading with edge" help a lot there!
I recently notcied that players are hitting their 2 handed backhand closer to the body than 20 or 30 years ago. Thank you for the tip.
Thanks for the feedback, means a lot to hear it. If possible, please share this video with some tennis friends so they can also learn from it :)

Thanks for the great video. When swinging a two-handed backhand, do you swing with your left hand or your right hand?
Fantastic
Nice 👍

Great tips, how do I stay relaxed with 2 hands on racquet? I seem to fight my hands when swinging

great tips!

@@tenfitmentennisimpulse of course man. i tried to consciously think about the tips on court today :) cheers
Hello! I follow you since 2018. When do you play with an ATP player again? I'll be waiting for another one of those videos. Sucess!

Thanks for your kind words and suggestion for the microphone. I'm definitely aware of that, will work on it!
Coach what about the C shape on the backswing. No

Quality content and great tips as usual, keep it up!
Btw, how does the new clash feel? Compared with the blade?
Is this video shoot in China? I saw something about ShangHai on the wall.
