best instructions I have ever seen, the analogies are brilliant and easy to remember, the shelf analogy in particular is crucial - but rarely mentioned

Seriously, the best video about volley in youtube. The mechanics of the volley is just like the slice serve. In the volley, we encounter the coming ball with pace, the way we compress the ball in volley is just like the way we compress the ball in slice serve. Of course, we have more racket speed in serve but we just gently handle the ball in volley. Some other coaches didn't make me understand for a long time.

Thanks for the great tips, and details... I understand bending your knees to have eye level contact point. But I cannot understand the rationale behind... is it to have the racket head always above the wrist level, or to always go under the ball during the contact point... in other words, does it help mainly to push the ball over the net? Thanks!

After "the handcuff" first moving, when I move the racket for hitting I let the racket pass over the non dominant hand without withdrawing just to avoid the over rotation of the torso. What do you think?

  • @IvanSemper

Great video! I have a question about something else. The forehand do u use your wrist actively? Or should it be completely passive? Having some problems with my forehand and struggling with this. Would be great if you could help me :)

Thank you, glad you like my content. Regarding PhD, I love the idea of it because it would be another great challenge and a way of acquiring specialized knowledge. "Earning a very good salary" was never a factor and will never ever be a factor in choosing my path. But thank you again, my friend. I wish you passion and addiction to the process. That's worth much more.
