I've really been enjoying your videos I've been curbing for 18 years now. I switched to the curb King twin auger machine. The smoothness of that machine I have made my life so much easier. Zero slag and the curbing Packs up awesome! Makes finishing a breeze
It would be way too slow for me and i wouldnt want to spend 600$ every 4000 ft to replace the augers. That wouldve cost me 10K last year based on the footage we laid.
you cant use premix concrete for landscape curbing, portland cement and sand is your agg. find the two mixing videos i did on this channel, that will help you alot

I believe the best mixture is 3 parts mason sand, 1 part Portland cement. Mix them together dry then add just enough water to dampen the mix. You dont want it runny.
I started cutting off the end a ways where it starts to where the curb levels off and when I come around to connect my circle it meets right up so I don't have to hold up the form 😊

think you mean the expected size of canopy of growth after 50-100 years? Most people get rings put on young saplings like you see on the video. All tho Im sure theyget many big tree jobs as well. Even then trees keep growing until they die in most cases.

Hi, thanks for the question. It is more of a troweling lubricant, it also slows the evaporation of water to u have more time to work. It wont be a solvent. Its pink so u can tell what it is in your sprayer so u dont grab the wrong one. Where in Russia are u from?

I think you are doing doble work because you are using the heavy machine, then you still need to go in your knees to give the finish touch. Better do it in old fashions way and you will save material, time and also no need to rent a machine. This is my humble opinion.
So ur saying just use boards and form it up? Have a cement truck deliver or just hand mix it? U can't rent these machines. We lay 200 ft an hour with this and a professional crew that does it every day. 3500 to 4000 ft a week. If u can hand form and do it the old fashioned way that much a week then ur a god. Its like telling a landscape crew to not use a skid steer and shovel and use wheelbarrows because its the old fashioned way.
This concrete WILL crack in many pieces. No rebar and sitting on top of the ground going through freezing and thawing cycles. The concrete should be at least 6 inches into the ground.
Is that what u do when u install landscape curbing? Or are u just a concrete guy. This isn't structural, we put expansion joints just like u. It is bed edged 1 inch into ground and is supposed to flex with movement of ground. Not sure where u live but we do this everyday all summer for 20 yrs in North Dakota, can show u as much curb u like thats been down more rhan a decade without any issue.

@@borders06 We normally go about 60,000 feet on a set of augers.

sorry for the late response, i believe yes i do, we use a bedscaper that creates a 9 inch path, grinds the grass into a mulch, easy to then take out.

You'd need a different mold for every different sized circle that you pour.
