Beautiful tour! I have to do that tour one day. Yeah, Franklin was a state at one time. Andrew Jackson has history down here in Florida as well with the First and Second Seminole Wars. I’ve been to Mackinaw City in Michigan. I took 1-75 all the way up to the Canadian border(Sault St. Marie) I did things on the Upper and Lower Peninsulas. I never went to Makinac Island, though.

We just got home from vacay in Smokies everything was great that you have recommended. We rented a cabin and Wednesday "pooper" backed up, human waste in downstairs bathtub when we called rental maintenance they said "Well it's Wednesday and you leave on Friday so we don't see a problem" YUK! RENTERS BEWARE! make sure you have their info , it was fixed later that day but wasted our day in Gatlinburg waiting for them. Keep doing what you do.

Thank you so much for this video. My first time down to the Smoky Mountains was the summer of 92 when I was a kid. On the way down we stopped in that town and actually ate dinner at the Parson's Table. It is sad to see it is closed now but nice to be able to relive my memories. I think I still have a matchbook we took from it as a souvenirs all those years ago.

Glad you got to visit my Hometown. The Jackson Theatre in Jonesborough, Tennessee, is actually a historic playhouse and the home of the Jonesborough Repertory Theatre. Built in 1927, the theater has been a cornerstone of the community for generations, hosting a variety of productions, from classic plays and musicals to contemporary works.
The theater is being lovingly restored and renovated. You should try to catch a performance sometime. Everything they do is outstanding. They just finished a production of “Beautiful, the Carole King Story” and every show sold out. There next production is “The Play that Goes Wrong”

I saw the name John Sevier on one of those historical signs you shared in the video and had to look him up and here is what I found...... Sevierville (Severe ville) is named for John Sevier, one of the leading figures in the history of Tennessee. Sevier was a frontiersman, soldier, war hero and politician who served under George Washington in the American Revolution and distinguished himself at the battle of King’s Mountain.
In 1784, Sevier became the first governor of the State of Franklin, a new state that had been carved out of the land around Watauga. Later, Franklin because part of North Carolina and John Sevier was accused of treason for resisting the annexation.
When the State of Tennessee was formed in 1796, Sevier became its first governor, serving from 1796 until 1801 and again from 1803 until 1809. Sevier later served as a state senator from 1809 until 1811 and was a member of the US House of Representatives in 1811.
Nicknamed “Nolichucky Jack” for his exploits along the Nolichucky River, Sevier died in Georgia during a boundary negotiation with Creek Indians in 1815.

The Rock was for you to take home with a little paper underneath it some people rehide it but it’s up to you what you do with it. I’m very close to Jonesboro love it…even though I’m a 20 minute drive me and my husband are gonna go to a bed-and-breakfast there. They have several…the Halloween events are amazing. It’s like being in a small town that you see on TV. my aunt used to live really close to downtown and we would walk there all the time when I was little..they have a couple of little cafés that are really good too and the kids go on field trips to the lollipop shop a lot around here. Jonesboro Days is really cool. You guys should go to one.
