Thanks for joining us on the tour today!!... I had a great time taking you guys on a walking tour of our little town!!!... Please come back to see us!!... "Bob the Tour Guide"
love the passion you all have for my hometown. I was born and raised in the second oldest house in Jonesborough. right behind the train tracks. It’s a two story blue house (they painted it white recently) and you can see it clearly when driving into jonesborough. I feel so proud to be from this historic little town! As a kid my parents would walk me from our house down to the park nearby, and then onto main street where we would stop and see the lollipop shop, along with the glass shop and fabric shop for mom! my first birthday party was at the lollipop shop! To this day, every year for my birthday I take my family to eat at main street diner, and afterwards we go to the lollipop shop where my mom STILL buys me my favorite candy I can find at 20 years old! I love my little historic town
Beautiful tour of Jonesborough, TN and a special thanks to Bob Dunn who helped us open our hearts and minds to the wonderful history of Jonesborough this nation's oldest town in TN. Thank you once again Mike and Karen for bringing us along on an adventure that is close to your hearts and ours. God Blessings upon all his children.
Thank you for this wonderful video and tour. My wife and I are actually driving down to visit Jonesborough, as well as some other places in East Tennessee, next week. This video gave some great insight. Thank you!
We enjoyed the video of beautiful Jonesbrough. We love visiting for a quick lunch or a little antique shopping. Bob did a great job showing all the history and telling all the stories. We live in Bristol. Come and visit our downtown sometime.
Mike and Karen, Awesome video! Absolutely loved it. Bob was great! Just the video I needed. Watched it while getting ready for my daughter’s wedding today. Thanks!
I loved this video! An amazing tour of historic Jonesborough - it was so fun and informative. Thank you to tour guide Bob Dunn. Thank you Mike and Karen for this awesome video.
Tri-Cities area is home for me, we've been living in middle TN for at least 20 years though, and I have been to Jonesborough at least one thousand times over the years, but some of the stuff Bob shared I never even knew. See, there is always so much more than we know about where we live. Well done, Bob. Great information.
Very enjoyable tour of Jonesborough. Thank you Bob for taking us on the tour. I never knew about the Haint blue porch ceiling paint. That was quite interesting. I love seeing buildings being preserved for everyone to enjoy in the future. The theater is going to be lovely after its restoration.
What an enjoyable tour! Mr. Bob is a wealth of information. We have visited Jonesborough twice from Akron, Ohio but you are so right…without a personal tour one wouldn’t know much about the marvelous local history. Now I want to come back again!! Thank you, Mr. Dunn for the delightful mix of facts & history, delivered in a very interesting style!
Thank you very much Mr. Bob for the wonderful tour of Jonesborough. My mother grew up there and it is great to be able to see it. I learned things that I did not know. Jonesborough is like a picture book town. Jonesborough is wonderful. I miss seeing the historic Andrew Jackson Hotel. To the couple who does the videos, thank you very much. They are very interesting. I have been to Cherokee twice, years ago. I see how much it has grown.
What an awesome little throwback in time beautiful town Bob’s pretty good storyteller thanks for taking us along on this awesome journey hope you have a wonderful weekend
Bob gave a great tour with lots of information on 10 of the historical buildings in Jonesborough. Wayne and I want to put this on our list of places to go visit, Thank You!

Thank you Bob, very interesting video about Jonesboro TN. I really enjoyed it. I've been to Jonesborough, Tn. several times before. I live in the Piedmont of NC.
I have a sister who's family lives in Mountain City and have been through Jonesboro but never taken the tour but next time we are up that way we are going to try to get a tour in . Thanks for the reviews.
I really love the history of all this I would like to see more and hear more but I understand that you keep it for other people to go find for themselves
come on down for a visit! us locals are more than happy to show you around. there’s so much to explore and learn about. not to mention the great food at main street diner, and awesome ice cream!
Great tour and video! I can't think of Jonesborough without thinking of Doc McConnell and his Old Time Medicine Show. The Jonesborough Repertory Theatre does great performances.
Thanks Bob, I especially liked the story about the Haint Blue porch paint. We’ve always had problems with birds wanting to build their nest on our porch, maybe not now though!

Hey Julie, the gift shop at the story telling building has a bookstore. And we may go back and do restaurants. Also in our library, our first Jonesborough video, we ate outside at Main Street Cafe.
It's such a pleasure watching your fun channel grow and grow. We love your Gatlinburg and area episodes but this ones as must fun to watch. Made us want to visit Jonesborough soon. The tour was great. Would have loved to hear about eateries too, but was still well worth the watching from start to finish. Best Wishes, James and Kim
Thank you James & Kim. We may go back sometime just for a video on all the places to eat. And there is a video in our library from the first time we filmed there and ate at Main Street Cafe outside.
Interesting up to date tour. I didn't know Bob when I lived there but he seems nice. John Rose was one of the original entertainers during Jonesborough days and he had a good voice I remember. I loved it there.
How neat, Ray! Thanks for sharing such interesting info and your personal experience, too. Funny Lyle’s wife beat him out as mayor. And your apartment sure was at a good price! 😀 We enjoyed reading this!
@@FridaysForever sorry it took me so long to respond. I really enjoyed your video, many memories for me. It looks like it has changed alot, not bigger but interest has brought in new people that want to preserve history and I'm glad for that. I like what your doing and you have a good partner.
