The car looks fantastic, top work guys. I've never been a huge fan of running a more modern wheel on a classic car but to be honest they don't look too bad. Also the format of this video was much more enjoyable and informative 👍
I've honestly loved this channel and particularly this series since coming over from Alex's giving Tom a well deserved shout out and I just want to say how much I respect what Tom and his team have done with this. It takes a love and a true passion and old school craftmanship to pull off restorations to this level, it's not cheap and not always a perfect fiscal decision it's one of passion. One of the videos Tom said "..We're not going for a Concorde restoration" I disagree. Ok he's done something different with it, but the love and respect shown to the chassis and internal those axles where works of art. It's like watching a great artist. Would love to see Tom actually restoring an engine or doing a job on camera, explaining how things are done as he does them. With Alex and other auto motive RUclips I love the technical side too, years of experience and craftsmanship is becoming a thing of the past. Please keep going, hope we can see the next project if Toms better half, lets him get the chequebook out again 🤣
Thank you so much for taking the time to write some feedback - we really appreciate it! We are enjoying making the content and recognise it would be good to show more of Tom getting his hands dirty and explaining more technical topics - something we hope to add in due course! Great to know you are enjoying the videos so far! 👍🙏
Excellent work Tom, well done - it's worth the extra effort and goes a long way to future-proofing the car, or at the very least, extending it's life, by some margin. Not big on the wheels, pesonally I think they're too modren, however, totally respect your right to do whatever you want, with your car. Not a big fan of concours, as it the end of the day, they are still standard. I found your channel yesterday and find myself playing catch-up on binge watching! Good work. :)
Hi Tom, really enjoying the playlist. if I could say one thing- Please give Alex a kick next time he's in and filming to stick a link to your channel in his description/pinned comment to send more viewers your way. Also there looks to be a gap in RUclips for some sort of introduction to Lister and I remember Harry saying you've got one/work on them. The only content out there seems to be showcases on specific models. Food for thought if you're looking for something in the way of an off playlist/filler episode. Cheers.
Thanks for the suggestion and hope you are enjoying the playlist. We will definitely doing something on the Lister XJC soon! Harry will also be comparing his XJC with the XJC RRR! 👍
Fantastic job really getting my motivated to get my XJR sorted. Really thinking of having it manual converted as well. Out of curiosity what tyre size did you opt for as iv found 255/45/17 hard to come by.
Just asked santa for one , my wife says santa would want to much cash for it but I can get my alloys refurbished......ahh such is life , shows you chocolate then gives you its finger to lick .
Those wheels look great on the Coupe. You may have overspent but if a job’s worth doing… Also, you’re only going to do this once so probably best to protect it from the worst that British roads can throw at it. I’d guess you’re going to address the clunky ride height at some point?
Great looking car that XJC and now it should go as well as it looks 👍🏻🏴
That's the plan!👍
I didn’t like those wheels when the car was on the lift, but almost completed and out in the sun Tom was of course right they look great 👍🏻🏴
🙏 - they really do look great in our opinion, glad you agree!
That looks fantastic and the wheels are a perfect choice, cracking job.
And the X300 XJR is a stunning looking saloon car.
Many thanks, much appreciated - yes the X300 XJR is a great looking car!
Awesome build. 🏆👍
Glad you like it

What a fantastic job ...especially being a rare XJC , love the modifications , look forward for update on how it drives and goes
Glad you are enjoying it - we will keep the videos coming!
Cracking little series and wheels are a bit naughty too
👍🙏
Seeing you do this for this coupe just a brings me joy! And it inspires me to tidy up
My own coupe.
Glad to hear it!
The car’s looking great. Enjoyed the comparison and explanation of the old and new axles and run through of under the car.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Perfect rim choice sir
🙏👍
As a X300 owner I love it and also have a her in doors too but thankfully she likes Cars too.
👍👍
Definitely a big fan of the XJR wheels, just the right size and not too big.
🙏👍
Looks fantastic and the wheels look great
Thanks 👍
Much enjoyed this episode !! Keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do!
What a stunning job you’ve done on the XJC RRR. I hope I can get to see it at a future breakfast club.
We will certainly be bringing it to future events!

Loving the choice of wheels - one of the many reasons the straight six XJR is SUPERIOR to the later V8 ones ;)
🙏

The wheels work surprisingly well !😎
👍👍
Looking good Thomas 👊
Thanks 👍
A great video & 1st class job 👍 but not Keene on the wheels ? I loved the old Chrome wheels that I had on my old xj6 .

‘Slightly over down it a bit’. 😂 You’re only going to do it once so do it right. Nice job.
Thanks Mark!

This is a great project. I’ve really enjoyed what you’ve done here, and to a great standard. What’s next?
Thanks - perhaps an e type?! 🤔
@@tomlenthallsworkshop Now we’re talking 👍
Looks fantastic! Did the lower engine mount brackets need to be changed for the new engine? So glad it all Jaguar. Cheers.
Loving the channel Tom.
Can I ask, what was the anti corrosion product you used?
Cheers.
Recently picked up a series 1 Saloon, wondering the same.
Part 8 now live and we cover further in detail following your request for more information! 👍
The car looks lovely , is that Sebring red ?
It’s actually Signal Red…
Looking very nice indeed. Let me just check my lottery ticket..
👍🤣
It would look nicer with Kents
Just asked santa for one , my wife says santa would want to much cash for it but I can get my alloys refurbished......ahh such is life , shows you chocolate then gives you its finger to lick .
Since childhood, I have always found Santa to be a cheap b@stard.
I bet the wife wants triple holidays this year 😂😂😂👍👍😎I think a good new name for Alex now he’s legally married would be drawing pin 👍👍👍😂😂😂
🤣👍

Thanks Nigel - yes once the car is complete we will sort the suspension/ride height!
Legally married? As opposed to illegally married?
