Honourable shoutout to Mr Good Ebening for his incredible turnaround at Villa
Honestly, he's been phenomenal. He's a top manager.
Ye but then they have to acknowledge that Gerrard isn't very good. So they can't mention Villa until next season
Ya, bit like Eddie last year, only half a season, definitely would be top of he couldn't replicated that for most of the year
When villa got him i said that’s prob the best signing villa have ever made
YES! :)
Neville’s face at 9:17 😂😂😂
t-bag is eager to murder someone
Classic!
@@colindavid2078nj
In know he's putting it on a bit (you can see a slight struggle at a point when he almost loses it), but still great
I couldnt stop laughing 😄
Surprised to not hear Emery for Villa at least get a mention and Chelsea being where they are is surely the biggest shock of the season?
Ya, everyone knew they would drop off, but 12th, ffs nobody thought that bad, I thought 5/6th at worst. But they're vcopying arsenal with a talented young squad, & they'll have a good manager with no eu games at all. Unaided only had half a season, hard to judge on that, though what he's had has obviously been good
It’s only been half a season… was the same last year with Eddie Howe, but I agree he’s been excellent since he joined.
lopetegui also has done wonders at wolves. i seriously thought wolves were goners when he came in. but o'neil takes it for me. i challenge the big names to do what he did - not saying they couldn't do that or perhaps even better, but it was a massive job
@Marc G Tbf it's been 2/3rds of the season. Gerrards record this season was 13 points from 12 games. What Emery has done with basically the same side is nothing short of phenomenal. Classic Sky ignoring us but after a season of bedding in his philosophy and identity into the core of players, he'll have a stella summer window and they won't be able to ignore him next season UTV 💜💙
Both good shouts. Emery has done well
Absolutely had to replay Carragher saying "laughable, isn't it?" haha
I was laughing at that and I'm a united fan 😂😂 Gary's face 👌
Well they got the 7-0 cup and Europa. Feels like they didn't get the last laugh
@@Xanchs4593 what’s united levels? One Mickey Mouse cup hahah you guys really are deluded.
@@Xanchs4593 You sound deluded. Liverpool have been in the conversation as having one of the best teams of all time, by none other than Gary Neville himself. Let's not forget how close Liverpool were to a title and an invincible season by just 1 point from just 11mm and goal line technology. They have had not just one but two of the greatest come backs in Champions league history, a record breaking 96 points and not winning the title, then losing it by 1 point again last season in the last 45 minutes with City scoring 2 against Villa. Again, 90+ points. Then they were 2 games away from a quadruple. Sure, they're not winning the league constantly but that's hardly their fault as much as it is that Man City is even better at getting across the line, albeit with a bench that could win the league too. Doesn't make them crap. Common sense goes a long way. They've literally won every top competition in the last 5 years.
But sure, look at it as 1 PL title in all those years. Anyone can move the goal posts to suit their argument. For example, Man UTD hasn't even won the league in 10 years. Sounds bad right? But then you look at the previous 20 years.
Ten Hag has done an amazing job right? Then you look at the previous seasons points tally and positioning. The hammering from rivals and small clubs alike, then it doesn't look so good. José did a better job than that.
^^ rattled
Isn't it strange how so many managers have done well in a single season. Usually you have one or two. This season there's probably 8 or 9 people you could say have exceeded expectations. For me though, Lampard has to be number one. He's the new Guardiola.
Guardiola couldn’t do the job which lampard has done. He got his previous club Everton in a relegation battle then came to Chelsea and redeeemed himself. Got them out of the relegation battle. He’s proper chels. Up the blues
He managed 2 clubs, shows how much he's loved (funny how he always works for blue teams whu being th closest thing to an exception)
I always argue the most important part of the puzzle is the manager, yet every year people get hyped up on transfers
There was 13 sackings this season 😂 thats more "bad" managers than good
@@rizzledizzle9801 true but they mean like pep, arteta, howe, emery, silva, ten hag, o’neil, de zerbi. there’s been so many managers that have had great seasons and you could argue could be manager of the season, or atleast deserve a mention. normally it’s just between 1 or 2.
Gary named quite a few managers there but no mention of what Unai Emery has done for Villa.
He was just saying them of the top of his head I’m sure he acknowledges the good work emery has done
Should have been one of the first to come in his head
He didn't have a full season. With afew signings Villa are moving to great things. Top manager!!!
Reason unai is always left out is probably because everyone is waiting on him to take the step up into the big leagues, he won many Euro cups, but can he do it at the very top, we want him at the top

Gary’s face when Jamie’s talking about 7-0 😂😂😂
For me De Zerbi deserves manager of the year award. He took over from Potter & Brighton have just got better & better. Fact they're in Europe for the 1st time in their history speaks volumes. Fact that Pep says Brighton are the best at playing out from the back says it all. The job that Uni Emery has done at Villa deserves a special mention as does Eddie Howe at Newcastle
Yes I agree. It's De Zerbi.
he doesn't even have a preseason
Unaided only had 1/2 season, amazing job, but harder to judge, like Eddie last year
Tbf they were like 4th when Potter left and now 6th, hard to judge
Gary O'Neil also deserves a shout for keeping that dreadful Bournemouth side up. They have no right being in the league with the lack of quality and pedigree in their side.
Sven Botman to Newcastle is up there for signing of the year. His impact on the Newcastle defence is a key reason why they got top 4
kidding me?
Mudryk is up there for signing of the season. His impact on Chelsea's attack is a key reason why they escaped relegation.
@@Hasan_Piker_Fan mudryk>botman, botman is an awful winger

Richarlison has been a much better signing mate
Biggest surprise has been how poor chelsea have been surely. To go on such goalless runs is unheard of especially with the level of club chelsea are. No one would’ve predicted it.
We r the mighty cfc 😢😢
You obviously don't know football and the effect managers and owners have on players. If Chelsea have the same team but have a good manager and owner and get top 4 will you be surprised!?
Eddie Howe should be manager of the year even tho he struggled at Bournemouth.. but Bournemouth manager should be manager of the year.. these guys should stick to being old pros.
Agree, my biggest surprise of the season was when they genuinely started considering, then hiring lampard again, especially after he got sacked by Everton. I was in disbelief for quite a while before and since the appointment
They need Calum Barton to step up and start banging in the goals ⚽️
Carra's laugh at 10:05 these two are absolute gold
If you close your eyes and replay it you really feel like your at seaworld haha.
Love how Gary wasn't surprised united got slapped 7-0 lol
Most likely didn't wanna mention it again, no one saw that coming though
No chance anybody saw that coming with Liverpool having a poor season by their standards. Form goes out the window in derbies I guess.
Well done Liverpool on winning the 7-0 trophy
@@thomasjames456 great trophy to win
7-0 but nothing to show for it. No silverware, knockout out of the UCL quarters, didn’t make top 4..
Steve Cooper honourable mention for me. Forest signed like 25 new players and he still managed to keep them up with a game to go after a horrible start.
I think Forest will finish in the top ten next season.
True, would’ve been a bit of a mess if they went down
Are you kidding me? What about Roberto De Zerbi and Unai Emery?
In my view, both of them should be in the conversation, especially De Zerbi, as Brighton have consistently been the most exciting Premier League team to watch.
He literally mentioned both - so they are in the conversation
@@freddiegass6961 didn't mean emery
9:22 has meme potential 😂
Young Player of the Year - Evan Ferguson. He's actually young too.
Maybe next year with a full season under his belt. UTA!
There's been so many good managers this season it's a shame some don't even get a mention. Silva, O'Neil, and Cooper deserve more praise for keeping up newly promoted teams for different reasons. O'Neil kept up a team written off by their previous manager after losing 9-0, Silva has had Fulham looking safe from relegation pretty much from week 1, and Cooper has done a great job in managing to form a cohesive and motivated unit out of a squad made up of new signings.
Gary O’Neill best manager with squad inherited….from a United fan well done cherries 🍒
They’ve been in Prem 6 seasons out of last 8 seasons with parachute payments and premier league setup. Forest have been out of Prem for 23 seasons with a Champ set up and signing 20+ players….Steve Cooper for me 🤙🏻
Gary O'Neill took them from rock bottom, to being comfortably safe. And to be fair Bournemouth have been run like a championship club with championship players for the majority of their time in the prem.
@@RobinHood-us7sg I love Steve cooper but forrest have a quality team, Navas has 3 champions leagues, felipe and Lodi has 4 league titles between them. And despite not all paying consistently Aurier, Lingard, Dennis, Boly, Kouyate are all premier league proven. Not to mention Jonson and Gibbs white who have been class. I know it’s a tough job to sign them at once it ink he’s done very well.
However O’Neil inherited a Bournemouth that were rock bottom with out scoring with a team full of championship players and managed to keep them more than safe. How many Bournemouth players would start for forrest? Maybe tavenier? Senesi? I think that’s about it

Plus win the league and got to the UCL and FA cup finals. We'll see if they get the treble. But it's about a perfect start to a premier league career as any player could ever have. Unbelievable.
And he has not even played nearly as much as some other strikers either. 8 hours less of league football compared to Harry Kane as an example

Manager of the year: Arteta. Bringing Arsenal back for a title fight after being in the depths of ridicule. I feel like recency bias weighs so heavy in football. He's had such a great season with Arsenal. Everyone was expecting a Liverpool, City title fight again.
Player of the year: Haaland. No explanation needed.
Young player of the year: Saliba. Played as a reliable rock in defence. One of the reasons why Arsenal's defence stood strong when he was playing. He fell out injured and they crumbled, lacked confidence in the back with Holden. He was essential to that Arsenal team and just at 22 years old, he was playing like a reliable top defender at the age of 28 peak prime. Saka was too inconsistent at times. Disappearing in important matches. Odegaard is 24, I don't consider him ''young'' in the world of football.
Signing of the year: Clearly Casemiro. Brought United so much needed stability. Lisandro Martinez is a close second place, bringing much needed stability in their defence.
Biggest surprise: Arsenal title run. I don't get how people act like this was normal and are calling them bottlers after coming from 5th place and years of ridicule. Arteta out was a thing. Xhaka was a liability. Now they got 2nd place.

Biggest surprise is Paulinha on Fulham. What an amazing player that grabbed the prem by the balls and gave it 110%
Erik ten hag is absolutely not a contender for MOTY. Absolutely no chance.
He took United from 6th (13 points off top 4 & just 2 points from 7th) to a potential 3rd place, League cup win and FA cup final, while managing the exit of the clubs only fit striker in Ronaldo with no funds available in January to replace him. I don't think he should win it but a name check is more than fair in my opinion.
😂I know right. He always wants to put United in the conversation
@@mikerichardson309 City played a whole season without a striker. ETH reminds me of Ole in his first season. Very lucky games where it could have gone anyway with stand out performances from individuals. The second season with ETH is where UTD fans should be looking. Like always they overhype the manager and players whose egos will be the downfall like the past 10 years.
@@aidiee9251 Hard to compare it to City situation as Pep actually decided to play that way while waiting for the right striker where as ETH had the situation thrust upon him. Again I don't think it's overhyping him to say he's done a great job this year. Ole also did a great job for 2 years so that comparison is fine with me. ETH now has to build on this as you mentioned and with his experience at Ajax (vs Ole who has very little) and some of the signs he's shown I think most United fans are confident he can do it.
Lmaooooooo carraaa laughing at Gary 😂
Imagine Kane in Man City team genuinely think he could get close to 50 goals in a PL season. Ye no doubt Eddie Howe deserves manager of the season to get Newcastle 18th to 4th in 1 YEAR is insane (Arteta took half a billion and 4 years)
50 PL goals? One thing to remember is that even though Haaland plays for a better team he has also played 8 hours less than Kane. I don't think Kane would match Haaland's goals per minute on the field for City if he would have played there this season.
No way. Harry kane has played 8 more hours of football than haaland. Imagine if haaland played as much as kane. He'd have 60 goals
Haaland clears that hype merchant and its not even close comparing them should be a crime, Haaland is more clinical, way faster, stronger, better positioning, better dribbler etc the only thing that Kane does better is long passing
You haters are hilarious tho Kane has never won anything and he even bottled it against Dinamo Zagreb. Theres a reason why no top tier Club like City Real etc never wanted Kane, Man City never wanted Kane you joke stans got fooled by your media if City really wanted him he would've been there last year or in 2021🤣🤣
Haaland would score 40 goals in the league if he played for Tottenham 'cause playing direct and counter suits Haaland unlike possession, Haaland is lighting fast and strong just play him trough ball and he will outrun defender and score
8:55 This is comedy gold 🤣
De zerbie!!! Hetting Brighton into Europe for the 1st time EVER!!!
Casemiro was a liability missing so many games due to suspension
That's what makes him different bcs united suffered without him so casemiro is the best singning
Jamie lowkey trolled Gary about the 7-0 Liverpool vs Man U game 😅😅😅..... Gary's face!!!!😂😂
O'Neil manager of the season
Akanji - indeed, what a massive signing
Joao Palhinha has to be up there for signing of the season. Fulham get all the criticsm when it’s bad but no plaudits when they’re good. From a yo-yo side to finishing 10th in their first season back above chelsea. People understimate his influence. Most tackles in Europe this season. Easily can play for a top 4 team.
Gary O’Neil should get manager of the year
