That is possibly one of my favourite things I've seen recently. Imagine doing a rant about the Swedish Chef and then he comes and beats you up.. that's glorious!
WindInMyWings interestingly enough I just read another comment on this video saying that when the chef took the spoon off him he looked like a little boy who found out his puppy was run over in the streets
I was at this Gala and loved it! But what this clip didn't show, was Adam kowtowing to the Swedish Chef at the very end. That was brilliant and made it funnier!
What they cut off is when he got down on his knees and bowed in an "I'm not worthy!" - kind of way after the Swedish Chef gave him the spoon and left...hilarious.:):)
I grew up with the Muppets and they are my heros... Adam Hill did this comedy festival justice and just floored the audience... Wow! even a response from the Swedish Chef! Brilliant..
I work in a pretty depressing environment. Recently a colleague mentioned the Muppets. Sorry, but I stole your muppets/kardashians bit. It was the first time I have heard laughter in that office. So thank you Adam.
It was Jim Henson and Frank Oz originally (Jim did head/voice, Frank hands). Word is that Frank wouldn't tell Jim what movements he would do during the sketch, forcing Jim to improvise dialogue to cover Frank's movements.
I'm from Sweden and OMG this is so fun. I love the Swedish Chef. But we do not talk like that at all. Some times I don't even understan what he is saying
Hi @jo366, unfortunately I deleted the file from my media centre once I had cut the bits out that I wanted. I felt though that most of the other acts in between the Muppet fillers weren't anything special and certainly not Muppet related, so I didn't bother doing any thing more with them.
Technically I think it would be the people (plural) who do the swedish chef. It's got to be a two-person job since he's got two human hands - there's got to be a third hand running the head.
But it is actually not true that the Swedish chef is from Norway for the Swedes. I have never heard that. In Germany though, he is from Denmark. Which actually make his other reference wrong (too). But nonetheless, he is funny.
ghenulo and then you have Finland, where the language weirdly enough is closer to Hungarian (with Hungary over 1000 km away) than to that of its Scandinavian neighbours.
That is possibly one of my favourite things I've seen recently. Imagine doing a rant about the Swedish Chef and then he comes and beats you up.. that's glorious!
"You know the difference between the Kardashians and the Muppets? The Muppets are real!" Now that is a price moment of comedy!
+Steven Torrey It's also a true statement
Quoted that many a time... and gave Adam the thanks
what comedy? That was a statement of fact lol
The sheer joy on Adam's face what he was allowed to keep the spoon!!! Like a small boy being given a puppy!
WindInMyWings interestingly enough I just read another comment on this video saying that when the chef took the spoon off him he looked like a little boy who found out his puppy was run over in the streets
The unbridled joy in his eyes when the Chef gave him the spoon is honestly one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen xD
'The Muppet God is smiling.' Jim Henson is looking down on this all and is just beaming with pride.
Well he would be Until he realised Disney put an Offensive Content warning on the muppet show
@@joebogle3172
Yeah, the dick headed / wowser brigade (a minority group) seems to have won again.
Is no one going to mention the fact that he looked like his puppy was run over when he thought the spoon was being taken away from him?
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that XD
Just saw him at his latest gig Happyism, a must watch. All i can say after watching this...touch the f*ing frog :-)

I so wish they kept that in TT^TT
I grew up with the Muppets and they are my heros... Adam Hill did this comedy festival justice and just floored the audience... Wow! even a response from the Swedish Chef! Brilliant..
AWESOME!!!! Adam Hills is one of my favourite comedians and it's so cool to see him geek out about being on stage with The Muppets! Love it! :D
6 months of quarantine and I’m so glad I found this guy. Love his Aussie humor!😂
I work in a pretty depressing environment. Recently a colleague mentioned the Muppets. Sorry, but I stole your muppets/kardashians bit. It was the first time I have heard laughter in that office. So thank you Adam.
Vertical Smurf I don't think Adam Hills would be offended in the least by your knicking his line. In fact I think he'd be chuffed to bits by it.
I'm still pretty new to Adam Hills, and I liked him, but now after this I LOVE HIM.
Interestingly, in Germany, he was known as the Danish Chef.
but in sweden, he's just simply known as "the chef"
John Hart The Norwegian Chef too.
Do they call him the German Chef in Denmark then?
So when Germans go on holidays to Denmark and want to make fun of the Danes...
Absolutely hilarious! I'm Swedish, and I approve of this! :)
His was the best stand - up act of the show...I loved this part.:)
It was Jim Henson and Frank Oz originally (Jim did head/voice, Frank hands). Word is that Frank wouldn't tell Jim what movements he would do during the sketch, forcing Jim to improvise dialogue to cover Frank's movements.
This is one of the reasons I love the Chef, showing the relationship between Jim and Frank
OMG, Adam Hills is so adorable at the end!!
Touch the fucking frog.
Classic. I love the Last Leg and Adam talked about this recently. Brilliant
Hans! Lars! Come kvickly!
Hills and the Swedish Chef, you definitely cannot go wrong with a combination like that (as long as you keep the meat cleavers at a safe distance.)
What the hurdy-gurdy am I even laughing at about this?
when you realise the Swedish Chef is married and your still single :'(
I'm Swedish, and I'm laughing my ass off at this. :-)
kattahj varifran kommer du i Sverige? Jag är Australiensk.
Rolex is made in your countryRolexs
I'm Swedish and this is awesome
Now I want to see The Swedish Chef covering Hurdygurdy Man!
🎶twers turn wurth de hurdy gurdy murn come surning surngs urf lur-ur-urrve🎶
I'm from Montreal! :D it is a beautiful city, and i wish i had known it when Adam Hills was here!
Now THIS... THIS is fucking WONDERFUL.
" What the hurdy gurdy is he saying"? Lol lol lol
4:03 that kid is like 'I have no idea what's going on right now...' XD
"We had the Muppets, you got the Kardashians."
Not in this house, Adam.
:-)
At least the Muppets are real 😉
Tracey Baker Whoops, I think you misunderstood me. I meant that we don't "got the Kardashians" in this house. We've had the Muppets my entire life.
I have 2 little brothers, ages 8 and 6. They love the Muppets (except for Miss Piggy), and they've probably never even heard the name Kardashian.
McDermott is a legend!
4:33 I love the Swedish Chef X'D
he's so happy. He's like a 5 year old :D
I just noticed that the Swedish Chef has a wedding ring.
drtoonie I wonder whø thë lücky lådy wäs?
I think since the puppeteer is married, it has become a part of the chef's story
Well, plenty of women love a man that can cook
apparently, the swedish chef is married
Chop -De Patato -Chop -Chop -Chop.
I was at the edinburgh fringe to see his show and adam mentioned just had to look it up and im so glad i found it xx
Touch the frog
hillsy is so cute i actually cried
awww that was lovely
I love how everyone acts like the Muppets are real life celebrities. It almost makes me forget they are just puppets.
As per usual, Adam Hills kills it!
all the time 😉😉 x
Hysterical!
I liked the part with missy where Adam Hills asked her "when are we going to see all of you down under?" lol
Give me Adam than will any day
The ending would be so surreal :)
I lived with two Swedes for 6 months and they didn't know about the Swedish Chef. I am disappointed.
Bartman954 neither did I until recently and I was born and raised in Sweden
OMG this is love Best Comedian and I love the Muppets
A year later he was kidnapped by a puppet
I'm from Sweden and OMG this is so fun. I love the Swedish Chef. But we do not talk like that at all. Some times I don't even understan what he is saying
it is a joke.
Nobody understands what he says most of the time.
'sometimes we don't understand' 'sometimes' ' SOMETIMES' YOU UNDERSTAND THE SWEDISH CHEF SOMETIMES? :O :D
Hördi gördi! Of course we do! Sometimes...
Frida Gunnarsson
Well... there goes the joke.
Awesome!
I clicked cause of sweedish chef and adam hills and got slapped in the face with mcdermott XD
Fuckin beautiful.
So it *was* true!
Herrdyh Gerrdyh!!
4:56 what did he say cuz it’s LOLMAO
The poutine???... is he saying that??? is the only thing im able to understand... Hordy Gordy!!!
Would have been fun if Beaker from Muppet labs had been turned magnetic and got stuck to Adam's leg.
... i always thought that "poutine" was just McDonald's fries in kfc gravy (based on what i watched on south park)
pewwwww-tine
Adam was on 8 out of ten cats, plus he host the last leg
Hi @jo366, unfortunately I deleted the file from my media centre once I had cut the bits out that I wanted. I felt though that most of the other acts in between the Muppet fillers weren't anything special and certainly not Muppet related, so I didn't bother doing any thing more with them.
as a norwegian, and as a huge Northug fan, i have to say, the swedish chef is better as swedish than norwegian, im sure Kungen agrees
Technically I think it would be the people (plural) who do the swedish chef. It's got to be a two-person job since he's got two human hands - there's got to be a third hand running the head.
2:53 Translate
I had no idea the Swedish Chef was married...
ankleswingers You mean Mårriëd
Rob Whitchurch ... lol, pretty irresponsible wife letting him eat poutine after the first heart attack!
He's almost always been played by married hands, so yeah, I guess he's married.
Well, women love a man that can cook
But it is actually not true that the Swedish chef is from Norway for the Swedes. I have never heard that. In Germany though, he is from Denmark. Which actually make his other reference wrong (too).
But nonetheless, he is funny.
i saw a video and it said it was in Swedish but it wasn't it was mumble with letters from Norway and Denmark as well
He was funny.
8:54 a truer word was never said 👏👏👏
There isn't a lot of difference between the Norwegian and Swedish languages other than some of the dialects and a few slang words
Supposedly, Danish is really close to them both.
ghenulo and then you have Finland, where the language weirdly enough is closer to Hungarian (with Hungary over 1000 km away) than to that of its Scandinavian neighbours.
It's also close to Estonian.
Could U upload the full show?
What made the Swedish chef fainted?
LOL
Anyone here from Adam’s book?
Whatcha doin rabbi??
Put on the subtitles on when the Swedish Chef is talking the subtitles say the N word
Funnier than wil
