While I don't consider myself an American(and people who know me don't either), when he asked about being able to sing the U.S. National Anthem from memory my first thought was "Which one?". My second thought(which came to me after they started singing) was "Good thing it wasn't me on that stage, because I'd be trying to figure out the lyrics based on how he sang.".
