The Alma Chizzit story is actually based on a 1964 book tour brilliant British writer (also great-granddaughter of Charles Dickens. Yes. THAT Charles Dickens) Monica Dickens undertook, showing up at an Australian bookstore to sign copies of her latest brilliant offering.
An older Australian lady approached her at her signing desk, and when asked "how can I help you today?" answered, "Emma Chisett?"
So Monica signed the book to Emma.
It was reported in all the Australian press, and became a popular joke in Oz. (Probably still is!)
The story's not new...but the fact that it still works after decades, is a testament to the structure and timelessness of the well-written joke.

@@giabarrone7422 I had an aunt named Ruth; that's where I learned that "ruth" is a legitimate freestanding word. My aunt was quite ruthful, I'm pleased to say. And I've said it to her. 😁

The Lewis Capaldi bit should definitely have been part of this one. If there ever was the perfect representation of the self deprecating and witty humour that the Brits are famous for, that little was it. But that aside, I loved all of these moments too. Graham Norton is the absolute best.

So true and made even worse because Chris Martin appears to be a genuinely really nice guy, so I hear a Cold Play song and I really want to love it, but just haven’t quite been able to get there yet. Maybe I’ll get my chance when he releases a song as “Legs Akimbo”!! 😂
