when adam hills did his impression of an "aussie chef" muppet, he sounded just like Dave Hughes (for those of you youtubers who aren't australian and have no idea who Dave Hughes is, humor me and look him up now, then listen to Adam's impression again... i think you'll be pleasantly surprised!)
When he says "the funny man will be speaking swedish" - that's a really good swedish accent! The E in swedish is spot on! At least if it's a Swede that haven't had much practise speaking english.
I was just looking for something with Australian accent when I saw a vid with Adam Hills..... And that's why I'm now lying on the floor and I can barely breath after laughing too much. Thanks alot! XD
"Je ne sais quoi ménage toi!" Ahahah love him! Adam Hills is awesome! And yes the fact that he's Australian makes him even more awesome! I wish we had people like him in France! :)
Well, I speak french and this is hillarious ! Those french sounds really sounded like french. And I would have loved for the french to find Australia; would have been great !
When I was a kid and I heard someone talk English all I heard was the rolled "r" with some strange noises in between. So throaty describes it pretty well.
i love this i have this clip on my phone and when i went camping with my mate we were doing the american bit at about 3am and we were doing it as loud as we could!! haha and bearing in mind we were on a campsite... yeah we got told to shut up quite a few times!! haha
Actually, if he's said the same thing more than once in other videos, it's because it would have been the same show in different locations. Adam Hills has been touring with stand up comedy for well over a decade - I think he's had plenty of time to develop new material. He has a diverse range of topics, and hundereds of different acts.
that texan accent thing is so funny. actually all my spanish speaking family and spaniard friends( they don't speak english) think my english sounds like sharrr- sharr-sharr-sharr(their impersonation). I guess my sh and r sound is over pronounced then
XD I'm an American watching hearing this guy for the first time after seeing the bit on the Australian Anthem one... Why the hell haven't I heard this guy before?! I'm laughing my ass off!
Almost, after a while they also colonized Iceland the Faeroe islands and Greenland. The Icelandic vikings where also involved in the raids on europe, particularly on the british islands. The vikings also settled other places, Russia, Normandy and the island of Man but in these places they adapted to the local cultures. At any rate, nice show :)
All this reminds me of Sid Caesar! For those who don't know him, he would fake talk languages he doesn't speak, quite a bit like Adam does here. He did this back in the 50s on early TV, and you can find him doing his languages routine on RUclips on an clip from Whose Line Is It Anyway?
I went to his gig last week, he did a shirt signing afterwards and I told him that I was from the same village that Captain Cook was from. He said that he'd once got a tweet from someone telling that he was 'fucking shite' and was really insulted until he realised it was a reference to that joke!!! And yes we do hehe and he is funny!!
Yeah same sort of thing. It's probably due to the place names being in existence since the Anglo-Saxon days of Old English, and in some cases they possibly even adapted the place names of the original Bretons.
Caleb Jaaniste not just Australians, people from almost everywhere in England will say yorkshir not Yorkshire I'm from Leeds and I pronounce it Yorksha
My Nan was originally from Yorkshire She moved to Australia in her late teens from London. No detectable Yorkshire accent whatsoever. Shame because it's a great one. Great imitation of Cook.
Absolutely true, this "Hans, Lars! Come quickly!"-stuff sounded like, and was probably intended to sound like, a swede with little experience of speaking English. I actually lived in Australia as a kid, but as my family moved back to Sweden when I was about 7 yrs old, my English accent quickly faded from semi-Australian to some mediocre variant of Scandinavian-paneuropean. Habit and regular exposure is everything when it comes to languages and accents! A good day and a can of Norrlands to you.
Bal dal gah nal dal ga nal BURGER, bal dal gah nal FRIES, bal dal ga nal WOOOOHOOOO
As an American, I find this accurate
I'm from North Yorkshire... His accent was spot on and also fuckin' hilarious.
He spends most of his time in the UK now. Us aussies love to imitate others
He makes that Australian Chef joke as if we don’t actually speak like that.

3:18 - 3:27 . That's one of the best swedish impressions I've heard in a while. Impressive!
I just love how he did that woohoo at 2.20, it bloody brilliant.
The Fraussie joke finished it off perfectly
When he said "burger" I literaly pissed my pants that's how hard I was laughing.
I love his comedy and can’t get enough.
2:20 WOOOOOOHOOOOOW! (I'm dying of laughter as we speak.)
I love his facial expressions and accents! He's amazing!

As a swede I find the swedish chef hilarious ^^
I'm fluent in Swedish thanks to the Swedish chef. So what if the Swedes have no idea what I'm saying?
Adam is freeki'n awesome!
When he says "the funny man will be speaking swedish" - that's a really good swedish accent! The E in swedish is spot on! At least if it's a Swede that haven't had much practise speaking english.

Adam Hills is awesome! And yes the fact that he's Australian makes him even more awesome! I wish we had people like him in France! :)
Australians can pretty much make a joke out of anything lol, that's just what we do.
It's the "Woohooo!!" that gets me every time!!
"Yeah - vuk - eah -yeah - vuk -orr-yeah - ucken - sausages"
*babbling*"...menage a trois?" XD And I can't get over his 'English woman' laugh, ahahah! Adam's talent with accents is bloody amazing!
His American impression was spot-on.

When I was a kid and I heard someone talk English all I heard was the rolled "r" with some strange noises in between. So throaty describes it pretty well.
That was my reaction when I arrived in his home town (Middlesbrough)
Classic, absolutely classic....
Adam's interpretation of the Swedish national anthem ^^

@4:00...you almost got French, we almost got German as our language. Whew, we dodged bullets, didn't we?
All this reminds me of Sid Caesar! For those who don't know him, he would fake talk languages he doesn't speak, quite a bit like Adam does here. He did this back in the 50s on early TV, and you can find him doing his languages routine on RUclips on an clip from Whose Line Is It Anyway?

this guy's accents are so good
his accents are perfect
Oh my god! I'm from yorkshire an he did a well good accent!
Adam is pure dynamite!
Thank You!!!! From England :L
Is that how most Australians pronounce Yorkshire?
I say the "shire" in its entirety, rather than as just "shir".
Adam said it correctly. All the '-shire' suffixes on county names are pronounced that way
Yndraman Like how Greenwich is pronounced "Grenich"? It's so weird to me that a lot of place names are pronounced in a really abridged way.
Fucking pissed myself laughing watching this, Adam is always so funny!
that was surprisingly VERY funny
where would us aussies be without adam hills?
Does this amazing man have an audio CD or DVD available?
"Fraussie" XD And "Burger?!" looolz
His Swedish accent is absolutely brilliant
@cosmicfrank what did you think of him? he's one of my favourites.
loved it
This guy is freakin hilarious!
Sooo hilarious, haha love the part about the swedish. hurdy Gurdy
@randominthewindow - he was actually saying "oh yeah, fuckin' yeah, oh fuckin' sausages!" - aussies tend to drop 'fuckin' into everything we say.
Say a big thank you to his parents for conceiving him!
My Nan was originally from Yorkshire She moved to Australia in her late teens from London. No detectable Yorkshire accent whatsoever. Shame because it's a great one. Great imitation of Cook.
i'am Australian
"What the hurdygurdy is he saying?"
LMAO!
Absolutely true, this "Hans, Lars! Come quickly!"-stuff sounded like, and was probably intended to sound like, a swede with little experience of speaking English. A good day and a can of Norrlands to you.
Haha! Fraussie!
Someone asked me if I was any good at accents, I said "Well my Scottish one kicks arse" (I'm scottish)
Actually, our (swedish) national anthem IS the hurdy-gurdy one.... it's just that we're using a different one for athletic events ;)
