    WELL SAID BROTHER! Jazak Allah Khair! This video is spot on, and the ummah needs to see this video. I am a real woman, and have always been one, alhamdulillah. In my personal life, I have been thinking about marriage, and the divorce rate of Muslims. I am a revert from Christianity, and new to Islamic teachings. I was a practicing Christian, chaste and pious, yes, they do, and are out there in the West, believe it or not. I thank God that as a small child, I had taqwa, and believed in Gods word, and obeyed Gods word. I also learned from my own parents marriage, the do’s and the don’t s. What a woman should NOT do to her husband, and what a man should NOT do, to his wife. I give Allah (swt) all the glory, for making ME, who I am. I now look forward to learning Allah’s (swt) word from the Qur’an, and obeying it. Believing women, OBEY ALLAH’S WORD, AND DO WHAT IT SAYS, PLEASE. Will I marry, I don’t know? I say, Allah’s will be done. I will make du’a for the ummah concerning marriage, and all that good stuff. My brothers and sisters Allah (swt) bless you all. Alhamdulillah, SubhanAllah, and Allahu Akbar!!!

    بارك الله فيك أخي...
    Personally, I think what's missing is taqwaa and compatibility...without these things in a marriage, (not only these things), but without them it's very easy to head down that road which leads to divorce...unfortunately. Men want good wives but aren't willing to be good husbands and vice versa. I think respect is a 2 way road...not only for the woman to respect her husband!! Sometimes respect is given, and all the due rights, but they don't respect their wives... which in turn makes it hard for the woman to be that "dutiful" wife... Rasoolullah صلى الله عليه وسلم said I am the best amongst you to his wives, I'm sure there's hikmah in this statement. I don't think it's about them wanting more women or running away when the heat turns up, it's about them not knowing how to treat their women and not fearing Allah, some men are too quick to talk about their haqq and their rights but forget the rights of their women, allahul musta'an. Give good treatment... get that treatment back! It's a simple equation!

      That's great and all pointing out what men should be doing, but your comment feels so one sided, sorry to say sister., I think the brother laid out the basics pretty well. Yes, generally Taqwa is important, as for everything. And probably every Muslim knows that. The problem is, sisters masha Allah may probably all have good niyyah but don't realize what they're doing wrong and think they're respecting their husbands, but really they're not and the men don't know how to voice it out. On other occasions where a sister may be doing everything right, unffortunately meet the wrong men who don't have the right niyyah going in, and everything starts to creep out slowly. My advice is to be more balanced by also understanding every side.

  • @sarajoe1301
    @sarajoe1301 6 лет назад +24

    I do agree with parts of what you said but I have to say that respect is mutual and prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه و سلم said حدثنا الحكم بن نافع قال أخبرنا شعيب عن الزهري قال حدثني عامر بن سعد عن سعد بن أبي وقاص أنه أخبره أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال إنك لن تنفق نفقة تبتغي بها وجه الله إلا أجرت عليها حتى ما تجعل في فم امرأتك. You are greatly rewarded for the smallest thing that you can do for your wife! That being said, I think a lot of married couples forget that the main point of marriage is as Allah subhanahu wa tala said in Sura Alrum aya 21 is to find “mates that you may find tranquillity in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought”.

    Most of the time, wives asked for a divorce, not due to infidelity by their husbands, but becoz the husbands are irresponsible, did not fulfill their duties as husband, as father, and as head of their families . Men, in the eastern culture especially, are raised pampered.

    I agree with everything you said, divorce is a huge issue, how brothers dropping sisters like nothing and wondering why so many are depressed and resort to feminism and take hijab off and all sorts. Not enough people are encouraging people to work on marriages but telling brothers to divorce. Also there are guys who will try dictate every small thing like they’re your boss. Not with hikmah, not like you’re their spouse but like you’re nothing. I do agree 💯 some sisters just don’t like being told what to do (another western influence by the media/tv etc I know) and will not respect their husband, so that’s another side too. We all have a lot of work to do, with each other and ourselves and for the greater society. Please keep up the beneficial reminders and good work. Jazakhalllāhu’Khāir

    Men dont respect docile and polite women...they walk all over them...get a side chick pregnant or have secret marriage behind her back. Then she becomes mean...they run back for forgiveness. Being mean sometimes makes them afraid to screw you over. Why? Because their scared they lose everything.

When I was in primary school really everyone's parents had divorced, I can only think of 3 or 4 people in my grade who's parents were still together. Same with high school. Divorces going down left, right and center.

    The problem that I am experiencing, which is leading to marriage degradation, is a wife who is now very judgemental and objects to no for an answer. Everything has to be on her terms.
    My wife has always been more religious than me but in the last few years she has become more critical, more judgemental, more degrading of her husband, and when she alleges that I speak the truth, in reality it means the truth as she want to hear it. Not surprisingly, this leads to arguments. When I (the husband) speaks or defends himself she uses the most foul language on me (and to wind me up, uses foul language on my mother) and even believes hitting and punching the husband (in front of the children) is permissable. And often does. She is now a violent person where I have to tread carefully in all that I do. This is impacting the kids, who not surprisingly take the mothers side as she would be otherwise aggressive with them too. So the kids tell me to be quiet but never the mother and I have to suffer verbal and physical abuse in front of the kids.
    Married for over 26 years, and now come to accept the beating and abuse as alternatives are not good and she knows this too well. If I leave, she will gain everything I have build, the children will have hatred of me and marriage proposals for them will be non-existent. But I am very close to leaving for my sanity
    Really do not know what to do...No one would believe me as she is so religious in front of other people

    I'm from Jersey, and the marriage situation here is like a revolving door, particularly of the salafi followers. They'll divorce a woman, then marry her friend, then when that's over, he'll go to another woman in the same neighborhood and then you hear about the gossip. It's crazy. It's one thing to have a divorce, but when it becomes like a Mormon thing, it's pathetic.

    Women got to be strict on marriage contract...no second wife, required marriage counseling and high exit fee. Some of brothers want benefit of wife without doing the work of the husband. Brothers marry and divorce like it's a joke...kids suffer and women suffer too. Maybe she needs to give the kids to the man - so he cant jump from women to women. Women that dont respect men comes from broken homes...usually a women that dont respect man had not gotten her rights (dont fall for the lies).

    With all due respect I don't agree on women obeying husband, If we follow the example of prophet Muhammed then I see it as partnership where someone has to make a decision but after consulting with his life partner. I like a lot of things you are saying but unfortunately we live in a reality where domestic abuse (emotional and physical) is the norm in certain cultures.

    If a man or a woman sleeps around (even as few as more than 2 partners), he/she will lose a psychological aspect called "pair-bonding". It affects women more than men. If someone loses it, there is no way to bring it back. The family must break at some point.

  • @elmustapha-q4q
    @elmustapha-q4q 5 лет назад

    I totally agree! If you show gratitude and respect towards a man than a relationship can grow or at least stay in existence. Otherwise it will crash down sooner or later. So women have to play an active role in this. Giving respect and gratitude are positive motivations instead of criticism. We men can handle criticism as long a minimum amount of respect and gratitude is given. So don't cross this line. If we feel we don't get the minimum amount of respect or gratitude we think we deserve we can become angry. So this is from a man's perspective.

    when I was single I came across these sort of men, I saw red flags marrying divorced multiple times , always on the marriage looking for marriage scene, I was single for a decade for this reason, I came across alot of these playboys, nothing to offer no financial security nor emotional security, how do you have children with a man like that?? that's why women get careers its the only thing that gives you security in general, the situation is more complicated than just feminism. Alhamdullah I've married a good man with a lot of dua and patience and no my marriage is not a fairy tale!

    In the Christian faith it is not so easy to get divorced. I'm surprised how easy it is in the Islam. Mathews 19: 3-8 3Then some Pharisees came and tested Him by asking, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason?”
    4Jesus answered, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’a 5and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’b? 6So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”
    7“Why then,” they asked, “did Moses order a man to give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?c”
    8Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because of your hardness of heart; but it was not this way from the beginning. 9Now I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman, commits adultery.d”

      I think some people just able to figure it out, without having to experience it first
      They just look at a case from nearby and after sometime they have that A-ha moment
