Tekken was always my main fighter, I’m not even trying to hate on T8 but the simplicity of VF’s combat is exactly what I have been wanting for a long time now. Bamco making Tekken crazier and crazier really gives off a “we know what you want better than you do” vibe and I really hope the next VF can be successful as a wake up call for other fighters.
Yep. When I last tried VF I found it lacking in style and went back to Tekken, but now I think I could put up with its generic characters if it meant more down-to-earth gameplay.
@Wintermute-088 i can assure you at least in terms of drip everyone's getting a glow up cause rgg studios is quite good at making distinctive character designs
@@eieneidnf You'd hope so. VF5 was in this weird middle ground between the basic, classic old school blue sky Sega, and more modern fighters. The characters are also all super generic - there's not much to grab onto there to really get you invested in them, the way Tekken or SF manage to do. Crossing fingers!
Yeah thats why I stopped playing Tekken 8. I'm not a fan of the Heat System. There's so much stuff to learn already, now they change properties of some moves during heat. Its exhausting
Don't forget about the big Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown tournament that happened at EVO 2012. It was one of, if not the largest VF tourney held in the US I believe.
Only barehands, this is a fight game, i become a fan of this franchise in few seconds when i see the tease trailer of the next game, and i will play the VF R.E.V.O, when the next game drops i'll be prepared for beat everybody's ass
I saw that exhibition set he did with Denkai, and in 5 games Denkai could only take 1 single round off of him. He played like a terminator on crack. Is Shiwa considered the best in the world right now, or would he be considered neck and neck with Tonchan?
The gameplay honestly looks so good, reminds me of tekken 5 and how it used to be based on movement and sidestepping and nasty wall tech. Looking forward to virtual fighter 6
I've never really gotten into VF. The gameplay just doesn't quite work for me but I have a huge respect for the series and I'm glad that the VF series and community is getting a new game. I'm actually going pick up the new game (maybe even R.E.V.O) to give it support and finally learn it.
I'm seriously psyched about the new PC release of V and of course the new one. there's nothing like VF. closest thing is Tekken, and even then it's just not the same. VF is almost like boxing as much as a traditional fighting game. it's slower, more flowing, it feels like nothing else. we need it! also, the beta of V on PC played awesome. so it's gonna be great.
Fair bit. AFAIK in his debut game (VF5R, the old one with the red timer, arcade only), he was one of the strongest. Still fairly strong in Final Showdown onward because he's very straightforward to use and hits mad hard. Just kind of weak in the throw game, but that's what his guard breaker combo is for lol.
@@BenjoBoyTheGreat But backdash is risky, unlike Tekken, since you can't guard cancel. Every character has a long range mid to punish backdashing AND if you get hit during a backdash it's a counterhit, meaning more damage and many times a stun state. Plus backdashing increases your chances for a ringout.
@@royhatts1 i see. i haven't played VF much so i don't know about that. that makes sense. though i see hope they modernize VF6 graphics-wise and gameplay-wise
I wish they upgraded the graphics, ui, and the sound effects to look more impactful. The gameplay is good, but the art design and graphics are horrible for 2019 standards
Can't believe they announced a new one. We're going home, lads!
I’m a tekken orphan. could you guise adopt me pls
Definitely ❤
You got it, Uncle Death!
we're all going to heaven lads weyyyyy

Ryan Hart commentating on VF is pretty cool.
Yep Virtua Fighter is where Fuudo got his start, for example.

So happy that VF is back and is getting attention again! Can't wait for VF6!!!!
That Paul didn't even pop heat. What a scrub
Yeaahhh .. You should bring more VF like this. The 2004 Evo should have a top 8 so that we can enjoy it. Some nostalgia can't be bad for our health
Yeah, I'm kind of disappointed it's showcased 5 primarily when EVO2k4 had a fire 4 tournament
We’re archiving and compiling a lot of our older matches and moments for future videos, so this might be possible sometime in the near future!

You guys are very smart for posting this now lol
i was just gonna watch this for a minute whilst i get ready, and i ended up watching the whole thing. i cant wait to learn more about the new vf!
That preview/intro caught me off guard. I thought that was Paul and Lili for a moment lol
VF highlights on the Evo channel? Love to see it 😌
We just need DOA and SoulCal to be good again and we will be so back with 3D fighters
Hopefully volume 2 shows some of Chibita, Ohsu and Ryan too

EVO totally got its name from virtua fighter 4 evolution....
(and obviously CVS2 got "swiped" for EVOs logo...)

Fuudo also plays VF with Shun.

Pure Pai shenanigans.
Adamyuki (and Kamais) are more or less why I eventually ended up picking Jeffry overtime.
Didn't know Nuki played VF. I guess he always uses Chinese Kung Fu women, no matter the game lol
Dope match ups, definitely want more of this!

Virtua Fighter.♥️
I hope the next VF comes with new characters, new martial arts and that the classic characters' techniques are expanded.
Paul, Ken, Ryu..:D
We've come full circle boys. All the days of Tekken, Soul Calibur, DOA, and 3D MK games have led to this! 😢❤❤❤
Curious if they'll update the fashion or the look of the characters.
As well the English voiced cast sounding like they did in the PS2 days.
They're definitely giving the series a big overhaul in a good way.
Can’t wait to delete Tekken 8 when VF6 drops, praying it’s a good game.
I stopped calling myself a Tekken fan when Clive's trailer was released.
VF is awesome
We're waiting for Tekken vs Virtua fighter .
How many Jean players are there? Was he like the best character in the games he was in?
He's really good.

If you’re talking about VF5 it’s Akira , but Akira is held back by insane execution . Jean doesn’t have as hard as execution and a simpler gameplan z
