Depends on where you live. In Australia the Hypers are the same price as the Superblast and only $20 more than the Hyperion Max 2. The Cloudmonster 2 are the same price as the Kayano and only $10 more than the Ghost Max 2. The Cloudsurfer are the same price as the Hyperion 2. I can't comment on the Hyper as I haven't tried them, but the original Cloudmonster is growing on me and at least it's a different feel to other shoes. I like them for easy runs at the moment when I just need a change. On are doing something different and that's good whether I get on with their shoes or not (and I mainly don't). I ditched the Cloudsurfer and hated the Eclipse. I have had a pair of Cloud X as casual shoes for about 5 years though.
I actually really like this shoe for my easy long runs but im in the minority and didnt like the superblast as i found it too clunky and inflexible. Im fairly lightweight (56kg) and have a high cadence so maybe that has something to do with it as i also really got on with the cloudmonster v1 to the point im on my third pair and across three pairs ive ran well over 1000 miles in them as i found them so versatile. Granted though, i picked up the cloudmonster hyper for £142 from Sportsshoes about 6 weeks ago.
I picked this up with 25% off so not bad in that respect. At £209 though it’s just too much like you say. I do find it very good for long runs and pickups a RRP at say £160-70 I think it would be making some fans. Massive miss with the price. MASSIVE
I paid $160usd very worth it but not for the retail price. I’m heavy so I can compress the foam more than most and I do get bounce from this shoe. So I wouldn’t recommend if you’re on the lightweight side. I’m a US12 or EU 46.5, which for this is a us11.5 and it’s a bit narrow for my normal width foot. Ideally this would be 170 quid $190usd.
I have the monster 2 loved it initially although bit heavy but now I've had it a lil while I struggle to find a spot in my rotation with it.outsole rubbish with only 150km it's already got substantial wear, for the price any hype of the brand I think they could and should do better.that saying aesthetics are amazing and real quality build... Wouldn't purchase the brand again.. I think..😂😂😂😂
Didn’t get on with the Superblast, so brought the Hyper (as On shoes just fit me well) for £120. But the issue is that, I land (mid foot) between the foams so, zero benefit of the PB foam. Therefore 72k but soon to be listed on Vinted 😊
Of course you don’t like ON - you are not an 18-30 year old female who spends more time looking at their shoes in the mirror than running. 🫢 oops, was that my inside voice slipping out?? I meant ON make some decent shoes, wear what you want, just be active. 😅
I agree with your speed 4 assessment too, I feel like that shoe is always underrated.
Thank you
Good review Fordy, agree with what you’ve said. Minor issue with this and all On shoes I have owned recently, the laces are super long!
Thanks for sharing!
@@TeaBean81 super long. I use a runners knot only to use more of the lace
Chris loving the Adidas Adizero SL2

ON is out of their minds
😀😀😀😀
Agree 100%.....ordinary shoe....nothing that special imo
Friends don’t let friends run in on clouds
Thanks
No problem
they have to price it there so they can afford to send all their social influencers to running camp and such.
I underestimated this my bad
Price Kill👌

Oh dear
Think it needs a rebrand to Off Running Shoes.
Good afternoon. At 🇪🇸 Spain= 220€. No for me. Like to Fordy. Have a great day.
Truly one of the most fugly shoes I've ever laid eyes on!
Nope
Fair enough
@@FordyRuns sorry I should have said I based my opinion on actual usage, dedicated ASICS user and my first dip into On trainers.
