Very thorough! Well done! I have a lot of the same thoughts on the shoe. I got it as my super trainer/speed workout shoe and I have transitioned away from it a little bit. I am still using it for my speed workouts until Grandma's and then I'll use my race shoes for after. As a Duo with the Cloudboom Echo 3's, it's a fantastic Long run shoe and recovery shoe. Definitely softer, but gets you use to the kind of proprietary foam that On is using for their super shoes. Great Review Eric!
Thank you!! Yeah I think the shoe is great for long and easy. That price point though is rough for a shoe that doesn’t hit a little bit more pace versatility or isn’t a racer! Can’t say I don’t like the shoe though!
I use 43 normaly. But went to test the shoes in a store and bought the 42,5. It did feel better in the store. Better lock down. But everytime I passed 10-15km I could feel the 42.5 was too short. I ended up selling my 42.5 and bought 43 instead. Lucky enough got the PRISM colors that I think is awesome. The 43 work well for me. But a 43 length and a 42.5 upper would be the perfect combo for me. I noted also that I liked this shoe more and more and more when I used it. It`s my favorite workhorse training shoe.
@@raddadbodtv Yeah! This is so strange. They used to have perfect sizing in 2022,2023. But something happend with CloudMonster2, CloudMonster Hyper and also CloudBoom Strike I think is a bit wide. Best fit from on has been CloudUltra 2.0 and CloudSurfer7. Original CloudMonster is also good.
I was told at the On store that with the peba in the sole that it will be much shorter lasting than their predominantly eva based foams. 300 miles max was what was relayed for these.
Peba itself definitely doesn't last longer than EVA or TPU but I think with the bottom layer of the shoe not being Peba plus having a pretty robust outsole will give these more life.
The short intro with the shoe specific clips is awesome man The price completely kills this shoe for me! The only shoes I’d think about spending over $200 on are racers

Yeah I feel like on needs to figure out their fit/sizing. I kind of wish I went with my regular size as well but it would have been so wide
