Playing devils advocate on pricing cause I hear people mention they have an issue paying $200 plus for training shoes. I actually have more of an issue paying that much and more for a race shoe I will use only a handful of times vs something like the Superblast I use almost every day. The price per wear is much lower and therefore a better value for me. It kills me to pay $250-$300 for these race shoes but would easily pay $200 for another Superblast. Just my 2 cents. Love the channel, best on the running tube. Love from Greenville SC!

I don't really need or get the value out of that shoe. But my new Superblasts I have had for 2 weeks and already have 100k on them.
I was about to go out for the cloudmonster 2s but these "hypermonsters" look way cooler! I even like the color they sent you! So glad you posted this video and will be on the lookout for these!
On Cloud Superblast. A better monster shoe. Something you get mainly for aesthetics or if you just love the On Cloud running shoes. The kind of shoe I might want but not need. Overpriced? Yes a bit.
Hard pass on On, maybe someday...but not today. I'm sure the soccer moms and cool kids love them. It's always good when companies are trying to innovate, but it seems like On has been FORCED to keep innovating because they can't get it right. Their uppers seem to always be well done, but that midsole/outsole setup...I'm sure they will get it right eventually. Great content as always!
I never got the On Hyper hype (Dad joke) so I don't see any incentive for paying a premium unless I think I'll get enough miles to justify it. I got the Superblast on discount but, with my mechanics, I think I might get 700+ miles. Also, I never found the On shoes to be that great looking. It's nice that RW is starting to send you some shoes though. You put out so much quality content and your channel has been growing so consistently.
I had the cloudace and I ran in them until my foot fell out the side. Hell, I still jump in them every now and then. They have over 700 miles in them and the things on the bottom are all tore up. They nearly barefoot shoes at this point lol but I don’t know, I enjoyed them. But for whatever reason, I haven’t tried any other On shoes since
Yeah I don't do it anymore unfortunately - I loved that gym 😕 it got to be too much once I passed 60 miles per week. If I weren't working full time I might have beeen able to do both but with work and fam it was a lot. Planning to get back in the gym for some heavy lifting after my next race but probably won't be doing hour long CrossFit workouts
Asics Superblast is far far better than that monstrosity, maybe you should do a comparison between the Superblast and that… prices for running shoes is out of control
When I first started running I used adidas hiking boots - at least they had boost in the midsole but man that pair of Ultraboost I bought after I were such an upgrade 😂
I don't have enough miles on this pair yet to test durability but I've had great durability with other On shoes. My old cloudstratus 2 went for 300+ miles plus about a year of gym use. And same with my cloudmonster - 200+ miles and a ton of casual wear and backyard use
I typically like the fit of On shoes, but they’re just not moving forward. Brooks has the comfort, stuck on EVA market locked up. They need a shoe that’s all PEBA or even a blend, but all the way through… not a chunk EVA heel.
Awesome job at not getting ahead on testing just cause On sent them to you... embargos are highly lame, so this is a perfect approach. Just act like you received the shoe when the embargo ends... why give them your attention sooner.
Never was a fan of OnCloud stuffs, but this review definitely helped !! Can't wait to try out!! Hoping to see similar edit on race review with your choice of shoe etc. 🙌

The Price for the on cloud monster hyper is exactly the same price the Asics superblast was at launch before it dropped to $200
