This villain is purely made for Batman though since any other vigilante would have been like "oops" and moved one of those carefully placed pieces of rebar.
Dark Patterns had that familiar back in the day Batman vibe. Great story, writing alright, art sick. Wound man is so demented. Missed Conan this time. Just read Missing on the Moon which I thought wasn't bad. Interesting 1st issue. New Gods was pretty good. Liking that. I got the full run of Precious Metal which I'm going to go through from start to finish. I'll check back in with you and give you an update after. It's slim pickens with me and Marvel at the moment. It's hard not to be negative about a lot of it. I'm just craving that new stuff. Old hat just can't compete. It's got to be tough being a reviewer at times. You know you can't let biased opinions get in the way or hurt people's feelings, but sometimes people need to know that they have to step their game up big time. The market is so fierce. People's taste is always changing. I really wonder what the sales are like for some comics. Got to be abysmal for many. At least they're doing their thing. Good on um for it, but stuff has to sell. Alright brotherman, peace and blessings
You have to tell me your thoughts on Precious Metal after reading it. I'm a little jealous that you get to experience it all in one sitting. Regarding Marvel, I take solace knowing the big two have always tender to ebb and flow with each other. When one is down, the other is lights out. Right now, it's DCs time to shine.
@@9PanelGrid Alright just read the Precious Metal series. Whoa!!! Now that was a cerebral roller coaster. That book gets massive points for creativity. It was like traveling through a block of cosmic swiss cheese. If that makes sense. You get lost and then found and then lost again and again. The book really takes you on a journey. A real ping pong adventure. At times it's like you're in the head of the author and then as the story continues, jumping back to the reader. The time and effort spent on it is undeniable. 5 stars. Two thumbs up. If people want something new and out of the box, Precious Metal delivers. I don't want to say too much because that is one people have to experience for themselves. I can see it being too out there for some, but you'd be missing out on some astounding comic craftsmanship. You've got to experience it from start to finish to get the maximum mind blurring effect.
YES! So glad you dug it. "Cosmic Swiss Cheese" might actually be the perfect description. Now, if you haven't already, dive head first into the celestial cheddar that is Little Bird!
@@9PanelGrid Will do. I saw the video you and Nick did but I'm going to have to experience that one for myself. Great reviews and breakdowns E. You're a natural⚡like Redford.
Dude, I'm failing on the perennial Batman books first Batman and Robin Year One and now Dark Patterns. In my defense, the decisions were budgetary. Now I need to play catch up and shell out extra for shipping.
Happy Holidays Big E the stache✊ it’s always pleasant to wake up on Mondays and find your reviews waiting to be watched. Station my friend
Station Phelps!
Dark Patterns was so good! Love the vibes throughout the book. The clear evergreen Batman story influences and detective elements. Cool villain too.

Some of these Batman titles are just pure gold right now. This one is definitely following that trajectory.
