Runner up and Comic of the Week: 100% best books I read this week.

Absolute Batman: I skipped it because it was Snyder and I've had my fill of his Batman. As you said, we all know what we are going to get. Wonder Woman is the only Absolute I am going to get and that is because of the Hayden art and Thompson story.

Hold the phone - who is Carter Dusk meant to be? I took that character as "Generic-Grant-Morrison", but Grant Morrison deserves his Eisner wins, in fact I'm surprised he has so few of them. Who do you take the character as?

Let's petition to have Chris Condon write an Ultimate Daredevil book since Marvel can't seem to get the formula right with their mainline DD book. I might have been more interested in Skin Police if it was going to be more than just a 4 issue mini.

Wow, I'm definitely feeling fomo over passing on Skin Police. The cover was so gruesome , i passed over it, as it might traumatize certain family members

Oh, man. I didn't get issue 2 of Plastic Man! I will pick it up for sure this week. Holy Crap, Skin Police looks like my jam for sure. Consider it added to the list!

Zatanna: the art, the art, the art! This really is a sharp book all the way around. Helen of Wyndhorn: what do you think of the other part of this book? The stuff set in the "here and now."

Stand Still: I dont get the larger art choices with this book. The art its self looks cool but why is it all giant?

Great breakdown! You have a knack for all encompassing summaries without revealing too much. Saw a stream where they were talking about reviewers spoiling too much, which hurts in shop comic sales. That's too bad since LCS's are the backbone of the hobby. An unfortunate consequence of social media. Your spot on about the Wes Craig art of All In. Such a good artist. Gonna check out more of his work now. And the art in Hyde Street...just superb. Funny how they played off the ol x-ray glasses ads. Reminds me of a darker twisted Twilight Zone. Didn't read the 2nd Conan yet but looking forward to that one. Glad to hear you liked Skin Police. I previewed that one and had similar sentiments. Book came together well. Saga: yep, the last few issues i questioned also but this one made those last issues make better sense and really felt like an "old school" Saga issue.

The tone of Black Cloak has been really good. I found it amusing having mythical creature questioning if something else is mythical or not! Detective Comics: ened so well with so many of the characters. Ten Eyed Man: maybe i have too many eyes?!

I literally have none of these on my pull list, but I really want to read Zatanna and Helen badly. I'm trade waiting them along with Detective. As always, great breakdowns and thoughts. I look forward to it every week even when I have no skin in the game.

Stand Still 2 was my pick of the week, the rest of my pull list was Phoenix 3 Kill All Immortals 3 Ultimate Spider-Man 9 Uncanny X-Men 3 Frankenstein 2 Wolverine Revenge 2 Red Band all were good, not cutting anything from this list but Uncanny X-Men is on thin ice for me

Saga gets a solid 69, plus it looks like EZD on cover NICE 🤘

Constantine and Zee, he has a soft spot for her, and sometimes that matters.. this series won me over and prob my pick for best of the year..

Great breakdowns! If only time and $ wasn't so important currently, I could allocate more of those resources to exploring these awesome books you recommend. But then again, that is why we have a channel like yours. You sum it up for us in a nice package. At least I get some good ideas on which books sound interesting and worth picking up and getting around to when time permits. It's like cherry picking the best of the best. Most probably do better in trade paperback anyways. Collected stories without the pause between single issues is usually more enjoyable. I am getting to a few on your list. Loving Conan. That is keeping my interests. Of course Zatanna. Uncanny. I'm up on them. I'm a Daredevil fan as well, but I just haven't read much. What TP or issues would you recommend if I wanted to get some awesome Daredevil? One thing I'm starting to do with comics is just enjoy each one without letting too much logic and personal opinion get in the way. I've seen some other content creators that get really upset with the new names/titles of certain comics, character swapping, story arcs, etc...I feel they are taking it all too seriously. Comics are always pushing boundaries and while they do some questionable things at times, isn't that what stories and creative ideas are supposed to do. It's all just sort of a reflection of the the turmoil within modern day society. Without pushing buttons and introducing new ideas, people become rigid in their minds and develop an over inflated sense of self. Too much ego, too much intellect. Not enough heart or compassion for others that are different than the norm. All in the head, not enough in the heart. Yet they like books about mutants with crazy lives and strange powers. Just keep everything the same though, right? Go figure.

Finally fishished my books so i am here to finish this video: the Axe was back! Yes! This issue really tied to the other series Finally. I had been reading this as a stand alone because it was confusing trying to fit it in with Little Bird other than visually. Now the pieces fit. And as alway art is AMAZING.

Covers are the best part of Profane. Glad you are liking it but by in large it just doesn't grab me.

Department of Truth: the boyfried/news reporter got a version of Oswald's truth and it feels like we'll move past this now but, yes, this is just the truth for now and I really dig that in this book.

Immortal Thor: the wheel turns! I don't trust Lemire to honestly finish a books any more so I didn't pick Arcana up. I wanted too! But it just feels like he walks away from too many stories without really finishing them. This looks and sounds cool though. Plastic Man: I thought it was balanced well. The character is a bit of a goof, it's just who he is. Yep, Public Domain is just nails it!

Another great weekly wrap up! I missed Minor Arcana, so I will definitely be picking that up and adding it to my pull list. The only book I picked up from this list was Cruel Universe 2 and I think you're spot on. It's okay. I'm really enjoying the new EC anthologies over all, but I find Hello Darkness to be the superior horror anthology right now. You may have sold me on the Conan book... Dang it, I need more money!
