I think therapists are mostly quacks (not all!). There wouldn’t be so many relapses if they were all-knowing wise people. I think music is better than therapy because you get a message without needing insurance, or even the intended interpretation, you decide to apply that message however you need to, and you help yourself... which is what therapy is supposed to do for you. I listen to this song and it brings me back, when I was running 25 years ago and sticking that needle in my arm, when it was real heroin on the streets, I've been clean now 25 years by the grace of God, but this song always puts everything into perspective when I truly need it, yes it reminds me of back in the days. But I will never ever go back to those days, my heart breaks for all these young people today out on the streets, with this fentanyl killing them slowly, and it's business as usual with the government, we need to do more things to help people sick who have this terrible disease. Believe me you can do it, like I said I got my life together 25 years ago, because I was having a son and my father was a junkie, and I used to get high with him, I didn't want that for my son I wanted him to have a conscious father, who strived and showed him what hard work could do for you in life, I'm proud to say he's a grown man now He's 24 and he's doing great, I'm retired now and I'm living a nice life. You can do it you just need to find something, to make you change If I can do it believe me anybody can, cuz I was a conniving f****** and by the grace of God, my higher power who I want to believe in helped me when I was at my lowest. Again I am nobody special, I was just lucky that when I was having my boy, that was what made me change. And don't get me wrong I still think about it once in awhile, but I know I never want to be out there again. So whoever out there or maybe reads this, remember you can do it if a guy like I can. 🙏🏻💔
