Hi Dr, I can clearly see a white cast on your hands as you are rubbing the sunscreen, and that was just one small dot of the sunscreen😂 I do think it’s important to talk about white cast especially we know that we need more than just one small dot to cover our whole face. My personal experience with Dr G green mild up, definitely leaves a strong white cast (I am East Asian with light to light medium skin tone), i always have to wear it underneath skin tint/foundation to correct the ghostly white colour. I can’t imagine it working on more melanated skins. It is a truely beautiful formula tho, light weight, soothing and does not become greasy throughout the day! But yeah white cast is definitely strong. I think it might be more helpful to test these products on the face to actually get a sense of how much white cast they have.
Thank you for part 2 of your sunscreen videos. Do Korean sunscreens have tinted mineral sunscreens? My skin tone is a bit darker than yours and have some melasma so I prefer a tinted mineral sunscreen that is not too drying. Thank you!
I love Korean sunscreens. Thank you for sharing this video! I recently came across a Lab Muffin video where she discussed the ingredient Butyloctyl Salicylate, listed as an inactive ingredient in some mineral sunscreens. Lab Muffin pointed out that it can act like a chemical UV filter, similar to octisalate. What are your thoughts on this?
Would love videos with applications in the 1/4 tsp amount on the face. I find that often on the hand it looks fine, but on the face I know if it passes the "minimal white cast" test
I’ve heard that the Torriden, Round Lab Birch Juice, and Numbuzin No. 1 Clear filter sunscreens offer 8-10 hour sun protection. Have you heard about this? Because that would really be a game changer for a makeup wearer like myself who finds it hard to reapply constantly throughout the day.
Dr. G Green mild up sun +: I don't think it is water and sweat resistant. Where do you find that information from? Also, I used it before, it is a bit drying on my skin, and eventhough it did not sting my eyes, it caused my eyes a bit blurry throughout the day, so I didn't use it anymore. All mineral sunscreens will give some degree of whitecast, but yes, it gives less whitecast than many others.
I love to use korean sunscreens instead of my morning moisturizer 😊 Part 3 water resistant asian sunscreens ❤🙏🏻
Yeeees! Thank you Dr. Jenny Liu! Part 3?? Tinted sunscreens??❤
Agree
I think we have similar taste in sunscreen! Glad to see dermatologists sharing information on Korean sunscreens.
I have both the Dr.G and the Axis Y ones and they do leave a crazy white cast on me! I can only wear them when I’m staying home.
They can initially look slightly whiter but I find when it settles in it’s not as bad. You can also try toning spfs with tint
Love the mineral sunscreen video! Thank you so much!
You are so welcome!

Just ordered DrG at Walmart ! Can’t wait 😊

Hello dra. Thank you for sharing this video is this good for having melasma right?
Thank you Dr. Jenny❤ love your top btw😊

Possibly but if it’s not listed as active filters probably isn’t providing the best protection
Isntree was so drying. But I do like Axis-y. Make Prem also has nice selection of mineral sunscreens
The Har Haru mineral is ELITE.

More water-resistant sunscreen recs please!!

Wouldn't that be wonderful? We live in 2024, you'd think by now the technology would allow sunscreens to offer more than 2 hours of protection 🤦♀️

I’m looking for mineral sunscreens right now!
Do you think the fragrance in the Cell Fusion C Laser Sunscreen SPF 50+ PA++++ could be bad for someone with rosacea?
Love your videos on asian sunscreens. What is your opinion about sunscreen sticks?
My face is very fair but Torriden sunscreen definitely leaves a white cast on me..
Same. I didn't know it was a mineral one when I bought it and was shocked at the cast 😄
Hello dr jenny liu thank you for this video skincare routine ❤ 😊xx
It's actually feel a little weird that some people online would spam beauty of joeson sunscreen in thier videos and some just completely ignored it. 👀
Thank you for your review appreciate it.
Axis-Y one is great, i don't have many mineral sunscreens though.
I don't see anywhere on description where it says Dr Green spf is water-resistant
Do you have a video where you share what makeup products you use?
Is parmanence skincare is good or not
Do we need to care about ingredients list? My skin reacts on any gor of alcohol or benzoyl
Excellent thank you.
I heard that tretinoin increase facial hair growth , is that true? 😢😢😢😢😢
Would any of these work, cast wise, on Fitzpatrick IV-VI skin tones?
I haven't tried these ones, but my guess would be probably not unfortunately, especially if you're putting the recommended amount on
Dr. G really dragged on my skin. It just doesn't feel right on me and give me some white cast. Not a fan.
SHE S PRETTY BUT SOMETIMES TOO MUCH MOVEMENT OF HER FACE MOUTH TOO UNPLEASANT TO WATCH
