You know I can really relate. I have been a stylist since 1992. My mom died 3 years ago and I took care of her. After she died I felt like I couldn’t get out of this box to do hair anymore because I was lost in sadness. Not to toot my own horn.... but I was a great stylist.... I did all my husbands family’s hair... my family.... people from the gym... just wherever and whomever . I thought that was who I was. It made me feel loved.....that instant gratification. People only knew me to do hair and had those expectations of me. Now that I don’t do hair anymore other than my close family..... I learned who my friends really are. It was enlightening. People would inbox and let me know I used to be a good stylist/person. I realized I’m more than that. I have been diagnosed with diabetic neuropathy and I am unable to do hair like I use too. I work for Hilton from home and I love customer service. I love taking care of folks but on a different level now. This is who I am now. My circle ⭕️ is smaller and the people that are meant to be in my life are here. I love me/family and I love life and I love your message and what you stand for. No one can ever take that away. I'm a Mama of two one boy and one girl!! I had cancer at 30 and the last 8 yrs of being cancer free. I've felt. Like I have No purpose. I'm a mom and and my oldest is 14 and my boy is 10. I've been married for almost 17 yrs in May. I'm so depressed. I also have Lupus so I never know what each day is gonna be like. It's been a adjustment with my health, but you inspired me today! I swear some people have no idea what your heart is and I feel like I do. I see You Guy Tang you have the biggest heart, and when you make music it's real and comes from you not a label. I turned 40 this year and for the last I wanna say 5 yrs. I've told my hubby and kids you are one person that has a heart bigger then yourself. You try to please everyone and your right guy you gotta do you and what makes you happy not what makes everyone else happy! I hope nothing but perfection for you in your future. We all have bad times, and mental health is real, but your such a insperation to so many of us, and love listening to your music. Guy please know that I truly love who you are. I take all your advice and apply it to my life. I recently went through a transformation myself. I went from a size 24/26 to a size 18. I am relearning to love myself. My new motto for this year is that "I belong to no one. No man or woman can own me anymore. I own myself" To me this means that I am free to be who I am and that I do not need any ones permission any longer in the choices I make. If I want a new tattoo I do not need my husbands blessing. If I want fashion color in my hair I'm doing it. I recently shaved the sides and back of my hair to a number two and left the top long. I have always thought it was sexy on woman so I did it! It felt incredibly freeing. The only blessing I need is mine. Yes its amazing when your love ones support you. Its incredible! But its even more incredible is when you are free to be you! Much love from a nor cal mom!♥

Those boxes (expectations) aren't mine, but sometimes I accept them, and that's when I'm at my lowest. The denial of any part of who we are is a living death. I hear you. I'm an artist and living in oklahoma too. People in oklahoma are not open at all. I've had people rip my art from the wall because it's different or "offensive." I always paint what people need to see. It's not always what you want to see but it's something that needs to be said. I'm glad you made it out and being the best person you are!!!

I'm so proud of you Guy. I'm disabled, my back is in real bad shape. My goal (dream for now) is to buy a mini mavric 2 so I can do cinematography. Get a laptop. Get a good camera. Right now I use my cellphone. I take pictures then make a short video by adding music. It's my passion. But fixed income, turning 52 next month, it's not just that easy. Also have Fibromyalgia which includes widespread chronic widespread pain. Right now I really wish I had that drone so I could show the flooding close to our home. In the mean time, I'm happy cheering on people I love, like you and a few others because they are genuine. That's very hard to find in this day & age. Love how your hair turned out, it really looks good.

Growing up I always was the crazy “loving” wired one but being different was my way of expressing myself now as an adult I express it thru my hair n makeup! Back then I use to dye my hair colorful n career builders use to tell me “how are you going to find a job like that” no one will take you seriously and hire you for their company and force me to be normal to have a job, but this was like 15 years ago when the hair dye colors weren’t so extravagant. Was stuck in a dead end job, in bad marriage n now left it all in the past n now I’m moving forward. I enjoy being crazy wired n single n not having to be “NORMAL” n in a relationship so Society can Except me. I don’t want to be “NORMAL” I want to b me, N I’m glad that there’s people out there that think like me like ur beautiful self! Keep it up n don’t stop being u. ❤️

The timing of this video in my life is incredible. I’ve always admired your videos and have learned so much from you, so much so that I’ve decided to go to hair school! This decision was hard because I told myself for so long it was something that I couldn’t do, just something I liked. I quit pursuing the degrees I was pursuing at my university to invest myself and my time into something I really enjoyed. Thanks for inspiring me.
