UrManeAve_Tv hi.. i just watched the video about toners and it really helped me to choose what toner will i purchase now.. by the way, my hair is below shoulder lenght now, how many toners and amount of developer should i use? What u think? Looking forward for ur helpful advice.. thank you ahead.. :)
kenny lapiz with your hair length i dont think u need more than one container of toner..ratio of mix is 1 part of toner to 2 parts of developer in 20vol... hope this helps...
GIRL. I clicked, I saw your setup, I knew I was in good hands!!! 👏👏👏 You got that shit organized like a total boss. Even the bowls are LABELLED. 😭 And you mixed T27 and T35 to see what would happen?! You're my hero.
This is exactly how all product reviews should be, thorough and set up well. Thank you so much for taking all the time and money to do such a wonderful review for us. I’ve been periodically bleaching my own hair many times over the years which means I’ve seen a absolute ton of RUclips videos and honestly none of them come close to this, not even videos by some top salons. Thank you again this was awesome to be able to compare all of them.
Hello! Just wondering if you could tell me the best toner or mixture to time it the red... I've already color corrected twice at the salon but she can't get the red out.. She wants to bleach again!! No way. Thankfully I have long hair and it needs a trim anyways. Thanks for your time 🙂
DEZ Rose I literally went from red to blonde. It’s hard to get out. Don’t bleach your hair while it’s red. First use a color remover then bleach. Just do your research, I would go to a stylist to look at your hair and ask questions. If you’re not comfortable doing it at home DONT DO IT.
I'm like 2 minutes into this video and i don't even know if I need any of this knowledge, but I'm hooked because your smile is contagious and your enthusiasm is the best. I love it! Keep up the positive attitude!
I've been bleaching my dark brown hair by myself for over 20 years. Despite my years of "experience," I've never mastered the art of toning my brassy hair. Until now!! Thank you!!! Best toning instructional video I've seen in 20 years!!! You look gorgeous, girl! ❤️
UrManeAve_Tv -- I agree. There are many shades and tones of blonde, not just T18. Not everyone wants to go ashy. I like the golden and beige blondes. This was very helpful! I like the T27 outcome.
@@deboraht5079 same here, really like the golden, beige, and even sandy blondes but not so much the very ashy and cool tones. I don't think super trendy ash blond is going to work for everyone's complexion. Especially, if you're a brunette with warm tones, you need to go more natural blond (warmer colors) vs the super trendy cool ice blondes. Seems like these are just basics that many hairstylists just miss when toning and bleaching a clients hair. It pretty much is an art form to get the correct blond or highlights that flatter.
@@zofiajaneczek184 It is definitely an art and many hairdressers aren't artsy, just a job and learned technique. Although, many are and go into the field with the right intentions and as with any really outstanding and gifted art, it is expensive but worth it!
Amen, Hallelujah and thank you! I went to the salon and my toner was not left on long enough, but other than this last minor touch up, and your excellent guidance I should get rid of that last tinge of brassiness. I am not even mad at my new lady because her foil work was pretty darn good. Thanks again!! Oh I think the t27 is what I will use.

Yes hunni !!! FINALLY A REAL STEP BY STEP VISUAL of the actual differences between toners!! This has definitely helped me with picking the toner I need THANK YOU SO MUCH !
I watched this video a couple of years ago and was so confused as to what she was doing. Fast forward to now and I’ve been educating myself on the concepts of toning lightened hair, this is a GENIUS video. Exactly what I needed. Thank you so much ❤❤❤❤
This is seriously THE most helpful way to do this! Your teaching so much more to your viewers doing it this way, rather than just pointing to inserted pictures and color charting. Thank you!!
This is best video on toners! 💯 Thank you kindly. You look like a scientist at a lab. I hope Wella notice you and sponsor you for this. All the best!!😉
You are truly a God send! Thank the Lord for a wonderful woman like you! I have been doing my own hair for over a decade and this is so straight to the point and extremely helpful! Plus you are incredibly beautiful I see your genuine soul shining through! 💫💜💫💜💫
THANK YOU!!!! Finally, someone that actually put the work in to give us a practical visual, awesome job! In regards to the T14 and other lightest ones one the dark reddish color strands, try using only 10 volume peroxide and keep checking from 7 or 8 minutes to about 20 until you see a desired toned color. With 10 volume you will get more deposit and little to no lift. The reason the darker strands are still so warm is because with 20 volume at 30 minutes your still lifting the hair and the darker the hair, the more warmth you'll get regardless of how much ash base you use. You covered all the info really well. THANK YOU!
Hey there!!! So i’m about a level 5-6 orange hair color atm from bleaching. I considered using a 6a+5n but after seeing this video, it looks like these toners could help. What do you think?
HANDS DOWN, the most informative, easily digestible, entertaining yet extremely helpful, just best overall video on toner demos (or really any hair color demo) I’ve ever seen. Major thank you for putting the time and effort into this!!! Cannot thank you enough ❤️
This Video was PERFECT!!! I love this video. It was one of the most well explained video in this DIY hair world. The fact that you tested it on bleached hair and 613 hair to see the difference was THE BEST and exactly what I need :) This Video Saved **
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I've been wanting to re-dye my hair blonde but haven't been able to decide what toner to use. You are God send. Wella needs to pay you, seriously.
Awesome video!!! I was using the T18 but after watching your video, switched to the T15 and I cannot tell you how well it fixed my hair!!! I had just been back from the salon and my hair look terrible!!! Used the T15 on ALL of it (I seriously thought I was going to get 3 different outcomes because my hair was light (level 6) on the bottom, level 10 in the middle, and a golden light blond on top.) This T15 toner, after being applied to my entire damp head, brought ALL of these levels to the T15 toner color shown in her video (on the light-haired swatch). Used a 10-volume developer (2:1) and checked my hair after 10 minutes. That was enough deposit time and I liked the color so I rinsed it. My hair came out, according to my husband, BETTER than its EVER looked in the last 20 years (since I started going to salons) and my hair look good with most of the stylists that I went to. Best video ever! Thought the color results would have displayed better on a table covered with a white sheet or tablecloth, possibly outside, in the sunlight. Otherwise, awesome video!!
God bless you so much!! Many people charge hundreds and thousands of money to tell you "colouring & toning" information. which isn't even helpful or useful at all. But this is so informative and helpful. Thank you so much!! I really appreciate you
I used the 050 w/10 volume and accidentally left it on too long. Got hot roots and my highlights sucked it all up and turned almost as dark as the rest of my hair. I guess you’re really supposed to use it as an additive and not on its own.
This was exactly the kind of video I've been waiting for! Thank you so much! My freshly balayaged hair was recently ruined from sunscreen and I've tried everything to get the orange out. This video was definitely the key I needed to help me in this crisis! I can't thank you enough! I look forward to seeing all your other videos, past and future!
With as BRIGHT orange as it is and the fact that its the hair underneath I think I may try for the T15. You mention it was more sandy on the yellowish hair and seemed to cancel a good amount of the orange out on the darker hair. I think that will blend nice with my almost white highlights on top. So I guess you can imagine it would just slightly get darker at the bottom, making the top more sun kissed. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for this video!! It’s so thorough and clear, especially with the result swatches. I finally feel confident bleaching my hair, now knowing how best to tone the inevitable orange! 🍊
Thank you for doing this... it's very helpful! I just learned from Brad Mondo that once the color and toner start to dry up the color stops working and so he says to make sure you fold up your foils to prevent the product from drying. So for those who are using foils which will keep the product working the full 30 minutes and for even results when you are doing a whole head of hair, there may be a color difference from just doing samples. This was great to see the transformation over the processing time. Thanks so much for doing this video!
It was more yellow than orange. I had it pretty light.. but the T14 toned it near silver! It's looks cool though.. whatever you do..don't use T18 to get orange out!
Thank you so much for demonstrating all of these toners!! It’s my first time trying Wella; I just purchased the T27 and I love the results on the orange/brown hair extension you tested. All I need is the 20 volume developer. Thank you again 😁👍🏼💕
What a scientific approach!!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾Smartest and most helpful video I’ve found, I’m glad I found it. Maybe think about changing the title to orange brown hair to ash brown or blond, Wella T10 toner (all the other names)so people (especially colored women looking for this color maybe include ash blonde/ hair for black women) can find it better. I’ve been searching for 24 hours now and just found this one. It’s great quality content, I think people will enjoy. Subscribed ✨🌺☀️
This is amazing. Thank you so much, now I don’t have to stand in the store looking at the little booklet for 12 years and still ending up taking a wild guess haha
Omg I love it! This video is exactly what I was looking for there are literally so many Wella toners I had no idk which one would look best. Thank you so much ✨
It's so much appreciated that you've taken the time to do this. That said, some suggestions. 1) Maybe keep a pair of swatches that are not toned in order to show a comparison of before/after. 2) Foil on the table was great while you were toning but it's too shiny at the end to really see what the swatches look like. Maybe a white or black tablecloth or sheet would be better. 3) Holding the swatches up to the camera, combined with the shiny foil in the background, made it hard to actually see the swatches. FYI, I just bleached and toned my hair this month for the first time, even though I've been using box dye for 40 years! The pictures shown on Wella aren't very good. I ended up choosing T28, which is blonde with a bit of beige, taking out much of the yellow but not all. I'm fine with that. I didn't want platinum or ash...not at my age, LOL...and this gave me a nice even blonde tone.
This is great. I've been trying to figure out what Wella toner too use on my bleached highlights. T14 18 doesn't get the orange out enough. Now I know to use T27 35.
Thank you soooo much! I want more of a honey blonde like my daughter and was thinking I needed T35 but now I see I need the T15!! You saved me girl! Bless you!!
This tutorial was interesting. I really liked the idea of testing all the toners. The issue I had was I wish she would have placed the swatches in front of a cask background. I really couldn't tell what the colors turned out to be. Im in the process of lightening my hair note and it would have helped me to see the results. Otherwise good idea
Just to let people know. Blue cancels out orange and Violet cancels out yellow or pale yellow. The t18 will Not canel out warmer orange gold tones you must be a pale yellow in order to be that true platinum color. The t14 is good for orange tones or gold because it has a blue base. You can also mix the toners to customize your haircolor. Mixing T11 and T18 is a very popular combination
I used T27 with 10 developer and it came out a lovely sandy natural medium blonde on my highlights and I have no hot roots on my natural hair. I will however use 20 developer when I do my new highlights ☺️
This video was awesome! You did such a great job!!! So organized, I love how you did the two different color swatches to really show the results of the toners. Your personality is amazing and you kept me engaged and entertained! Thank you for your time and hard work! ☺️
I loved this review. Did my sisters hair about 2 weeks ago and mix T11 with T18 cause she pulls a bit of red orange yellow so weird but this mix came out so nice on her. Thanks for this tho. I’m never afraid to try things cause there’s always a darker color 🤷🏻♀️ so I’ll go all in.
Hi I have T11 & T14, been looking for videos of these 2 combinations mixed. I’m wanting like a white, light light purple/silver kinda color. Have you ever tried these 2 toners?
This is a great educational video! Thanks for your time!!! So far, T14 is my ideal toner. Works way better than the T18 on me personally. Toner definitely is not a one size fits all product and this video does a fantastic job explaining that😊. Thanks again!!! New Subbie here!
Thank you so much! this was a really informative video. I've never toned my hair before and not being able to get to a salon, and having to do it myself, it's scary but I feel as if learnt loads. THANK YOU!
What an impressive tutorial & strand tests!!! Wow! Really well done... I got T14 today to tone out the brassiness & residual red from my lightened hair from dark brown. I appreciate all of your extensive efforts to teach us ladies, sparing us some worry & doubts. I needed confirmation before I go deep blue & eggplant. Thank you so much!
Yes BLESS this woman for 'laying it straight out there' for all of us to learn & listen! Around a month ago I lightened my brown hair with a dark ash blonde color because I just wanted it to be a lighter shade of brown or dark blonde & ofcourse I expected it to have an orangey tone instead the first time- which ofcourse it did, so a couple of weeks after that- I bought a medium ash color because all these advice columns say "To get rid of orange hair, an ash tone hair color or toner will get rid of it blah blah blah".. ok so I put the medium ash color on my hair & left it on alot longer than what the box recommended.. NOTHING, STILL ORANGE!! Ok so after being disappointed that it still was not the dark blonde (light brown) color that I was hoping for- I bought the Joico Blue shampoo in hopes that IT would take the orange tone out finally.. ummm NOPE!! STILL ORANGE!!! Which is what brought me to this video & after watching this & seeing that the different color toners still kept the orange hair orange.. F THIS!! THANKYOU for making this video! It has made me realize that this $h!t is not going to change no matter what I do & you just saved me from blowing any more money on ANOTHER something that is not going to work!! God it's not f'ing worth it & shouldn't be this hard! I'm just going back to a brown color or darker like here in my pic..
Bless this woman for helping all of us diy girls who don't want to look like a dorito!

FINALLY! Someone who actually explains and demonstrates the results! Thank you sooo much! You saved me from T18! 😁
Glad I could help!
The orange hair is not light enough to tone thats why they didn't change. And the T35 and T15 are gold violet based.
thank you for watching.....
Thank you so much! This is the best video on toner on the internet, seriously. I have been searching forever for actual toned colors on actual hair.
Glad it was helpful! thank you for watching..!
This was exactly the kind of video I've been waiting for! Thank you so much! My freshly balayaged hair was recently ruined from sunscreen and I've tried everything to get the orange out. This video was definitely the key I needed to help me in this crisis! I can't thank you enough! I look forward to seeing all your other videos, past and future!
awww thank you. I am glad I was able solve a crisis. So which of the toners will you be using after watching this video?
With as BRIGHT orange as it is and the fact that its the hair underneath I think I may try for the T15. You mention it was more sandy on the yellowish hair and seemed to cancel a good amount of the orange out on the darker hair. I think that will blend nice with my almost white highlights on top. So I guess you can imagine it would just slightly get darker at the bottom, making the top more sun kissed. Thanks again!
Girl yes this is exactly the video I've been searching for, thank you!!! I won't skip ads I am so grateful lol
You're so welcome!
Thank you so much for this video!! It’s so thorough and clear, especially with the result swatches. I finally feel confident bleaching my hair, now knowing how best to tone the inevitable orange! 🍊
You are so welcome!
I wish I saw this before buying the toner lol
Same... The chick at Sally's told me to get T14... I even questioned that.. now I have gray hair! WTF
@@amberagee7294 what color did you start with? Im trying to get orange out.
It was more yellow than orange. I had it pretty light.. but the T14 toned it near silver! It's looks cool though.. whatever you do..don't use T18 to get orange out!
@@amberagee7294 ......so which one do you recommend then...?
I was using T18 but switched to T15 after this vid and LOVE it so much more!!
I’m so glad I watched this video before applying my toner, have the 10 and 35 at home. Love this video! Thank you!
thank you soo much for watching.
Thank you so much for demonstrating all of these toners!! It’s my first time trying Wella; I just purchased the T27 and I love the results on the orange/brown hair extension you tested. All I need is the 20 volume developer. Thank you again 😁👍🏼💕
thanks for watching.

This is amazing. Thank you so much, now I don’t have to stand in the store looking at the little booklet for 12 years and still ending up taking a wild guess haha
you sure wont!
Omg, I just got back from the beauty supply warehouse, where I did just that. Lol!
This is the best video in the history of RUclips. Thank you! Thinking about stopping the T18, this was so helpful.
Glad it helped!
You’re doing the lords work!!! Thank you!!!
thank you
justwanttowatchvideos the lords work😂🤣
3 years later, still thankful for this. I have a few different ones and not sure the difference.
Very well done video!! I wish u would have kept a "control group" a dark and light hair that was bleached and not toned to use for comparison.
reply thats a good idea. I will definitely do that in my future videos.. thanks for watching..
I love this!! Thank thank thank you 🙏🏾 my hair is orange and I did not know what toner would be best 😧 you are a lifesaver 💓💓
awww I am glad it helped.
Juanita Hector what number please?
Omg I love it! This video is exactly what I was looking for there are literally so many Wella toners I had no idk which one would look best. Thank you so much ✨
thanks for stopping by to watch.
Now I know to use T27 35.
thanks for watching.
Thank you soooo much! I want more of a honey blonde like my daughter and was thinking I needed T35 but now I see I need the T15!! You saved me girl! Bless you!!
You are so welcome!
I redid the swatches.. check it out...ruclips.net/video/D7pfo37Yw8Y/видео.html
Now THIS is thorough and methodical! Thank you so much for putting so much work into this!!
So smart and nice of you to do this! Thank you for going above and beyond. Your effort is greatly appreciated 😊
you are welcome... thanks for watching
Got into 39 seconds and I already found the video I needed. Thank you!!!
awwww thank you for watching......I am glad it helped...
Mixing T11 and T18 is a very popular combination
thanks for your insight
t11 and t18 give platinum?
This is a BRILLIANT visual for those of us wondering what each wella toner will do to orange hair!
thanks for watching
I’m trying T 27 and I just wanted to watch this video. Also, you’re really pretty! Thank you so much for this it helped a lot💓
Thank you for watching!😍 awww thanks for the compliment.
focusing on the dark hair the most when applying the toners
thank you
Thank you so much for doing this! I loved the T15, 27 and 35 and the T27/35 mix the best!
thanks for watching!
This is hands down the best video on RUclips regarding wella toner amd correcting orange hair! Great job and TYSM!!!!❤
I used T27 with 10 developer and it came out a lovely sandy natural medium blonde on my highlights and I have no hot roots on my natural hair. I will however use 20 developer when I do my new highlights ☺️
Thanks for watching..I really appreciate it!!!
@@UrManeAveTv if I do the T27 with a 35 developer will that make it lighter and ashier? Can I mix a 20 developer with 35?
This video was awesome! You did such a great job!!! So organized, I love how you did the two different color swatches to really show the results of the toners. Your personality is amazing and you kept me engaged and entertained! Thank you for your time and hard work! ☺️
Thank you so much!!
Thanks for sharing!! and thanks for watching...
Hi I have T11 & T14, been looking for videos of these 2 combinations mixed. I’m wanting like a white, light light purple/silver kinda color. Have you ever tried these 2 toners?
Very through explanation of which toner to choose. She knows her stuff ! Thank you.
awwwwwThanks for watching...
This is a great educational video! Thanks for your time!!! So far, T14 is my ideal toner. Works way better than the T18 on me personally. Toner definitely is not a one size fits all product and this video does a fantastic job explaining that😊. Thanks again!!! New Subbie here!
awwwww.....thanks for watching...!!!!!
GOD BLESS YOU HUNNI. . THANKS SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS TUTORIAL IT'S HIGHLY APPRECIATED...👍 NOW I KNOW WHICH TONER TO BUY.
thank you for watching.
Thank you so much! this was a really informative video. I've never toned my hair before and not being able to get to a salon, and having to do it myself, it's scary but I feel as if learnt loads. THANK YOU!

Omg, you are so cute and lively! This is an amazing video clearing up the mysteries of toners
awwww thanks for watching.
Best of luck!
What colour did it go
Great job. Love your energy. Thanks for investing the time for all of us to learn. Hugs and tugs
Awwww thank you!. I am glad you like the video.

Ok so after being disappointed that it still was not the dark blonde (light brown) color that I was hoping for-
I bought the Joico Blue shampoo in hopes that IT would take the orange tone out finally..
I'm just going back to a brown color or darker like here in my pic..
thanks for watching
Yessss!!! Thank u. Thank u going to go with the t14 first time toning my own hair wish me luck !
