what was your starting hair color?!
I started with natural black hair. I didn’t show show the bleaching process.

The hair should have been lifted again as there are still warm tones in the final result. You can’t expect to have a nice ash tone if your base is still orange. I’ve made this mistake many times before only lifting to a seven and expecting my toner to get rid of the warm tones. But it just can’t be done. I recommend re bleaching with 20vl (on this wig) until it’s a pale yellow and then tone and shampoo just like the video.

What do you mean by lifting? I just dyed my hair ash blonde but it looks brassy. I don’t know what toner to use. I just want a dark ash blonde look. Any recommendations on what to use?
By lifting she meant that you should bleach it again so that it gets lighter.
Angie Ortiz lifting as in bleach and if you want a dark ash I would use 6a toner by wella

Hey! When you go to purchase your toners, you can tell them the color you are aiming for and see is they can stare you in the right direction. I always use a 20V developer. I have never bleached or dye natural hair before only bundles and wigs.

I’m not sure about the colorant because I have never used it before
No you cannot mix color with toner. It’s 2 separate chemicals the outcome will be too unsteady

I have a 30 developer and 40 developer do I need to get 20 ? I just dyed my hair and it’s reddish color will this work? I used light mushroom blonde and medium mushroom blonde to dye.
20 developer is what the toner says but persons use whichever they have

Hi, I have dark brown brassy hair, i dont want to lighten it but how do i get the brassiness out? so far i tried 10 developer with 4AA, 3AA and it still comes out brassy. I also mixed cooling violet in but still the same issue.
Hi! I would go to a salon/professional and let them tell you what to do.
In order to lighten hair u need to lighten it with bleach
Are you using permanent color when using that 4. & 3aa? If so that’s why you keep turning brassy bc that permanent color is lifting your already dark hair. Even if you used a 10v deleloper the permanent color still has a little bit of lift. Try using a Demi at the same tone so if you have level 5 brown try using a 5aa with a green base to combat the red or if you are more orange try using a level 5with a blue undertone

I just started making wigs and off course had to be extra and go for a blonde highlighted closure . I still have some brass to the hair and just picked up 8g, 9g and t18. I’m hoping it comes out great!

I used a T28 and my hair is orange.
I stared with two colors a blonde. Then used It went really dark in front and ashy. So then I used a cap pulled hair through bleached highlights. I should of waited before using toner t28 cause now my hair is orange.
It’s been a week like this.
I went to Sally’s and purchased repair solutions step one & step two.
I am thinking waiting one more week and then trying ash hair color #9a very light blond Ash with 20 toner all over my hair.
You can seek professional advice from a cosmetologist who have worked with something me that or similar
The ash you put in your hair will go dark especially if your not at the right level of lift by that I mean if you want light ash blonde bleach the hair to a level 9 a pale yellow and only until you’ve reached that level should you apply toner you won’t have any warmth and you’ll be nice and bright. Hope this helps if you have many colors in your hair I would recommend seeing a professional and if you have any history of using permanent hair colors getting you ashy might be a process of more then one session.

Girl I have a question what if I just use the ash blonde and not use the toner and stuff because we already used toner and stuff on my hair and it’s orange. If I dye it directly ash blonde what will happen ?
Yes you can use an ash blonde dye. I was going to use one but decided not to after I toned it

T35 works better for orange tones. T18 shouldn't have been used, TBH as it cancels out more pale yellow tones

I had highlights put in my brown hair today (level 4 brown) and some of them turned reddish orange. I got T10 and T14 from wells. She didn’t leave that lightener stuff on long enough to lift the brown and I’m pissed.

can't see any difference. lol, wella t18 is supposed to be used on 9-10 level hair and your wig was at 6-7 level that's why it didn't work out.

Do you had the toner with dev when the hairs wet or dry
Some persons do it while it’s wet, while others do it when it’s dry. I moisten it before adding the toner

I have never heard of rincage before I’ll have to research it
Ash blonde looks good on some people but not all if your a warm skin tone it wouldn't look good on you. The only way to determine if your a warm or cool skin toon is look at the veins on your inner wrist if green your warm skin tone if cool your a blue skin tone. Also blonde doesn't look good on everyone you have to have the right skin tone to pull blonde off. It'll just look fake and not natural. At some point blonde was in but just because it might be in doesn't mean it's going to look good on you.I say natural haircolor always looks best.
What about pink, blue, purple hair? I say wear whatever color makes you happy. Whoever invented this mess about warm or cool skin tones and what color looks best was probaby trying to sell something. It was probably the same person that said "NO WHITE AFTER LABOR DAY" & then said oh now we have too much white material and came up with WINTER WHITE. I wear white year round just like other colors! BTW , I only wear black, brown, auburn, or golden blonde wigs. Just my preference.

The toner does not stain the lace and it is ok to rub it on the knots if they were bleached too.
T18 does nothing for orange tones. Purple cancels yellow and blue cancels orange. A T14 would still have knocked out all that brassiness. You hair has to be at least the same yellow shade as the inside of a banal peel for T18 to work. Tip for next time, if hair us this level/tone, but a 5AA or 6AA (double ash) dye and it will cancel all those orange and brassy undertones. Of course if you like the warmth then don't do that.

I don’t think the color will fade back to orange only if you only use the purple Shampoo and conditioner. The toner should last
Yes it does after a couple weeks or a months you’ll start to see the Brassiness come back and depending on ur hair if it’s orange or yellow u use a blue shampoo or purple shampoo . Blue if ur hair is orange , purple if ur hair is yellow

@@jennb9482 I used ION recently. It worked on my blonde ends, but my roots were still orange. They ended up getting lighter due to the developer being on too long. I just use light ash brown hair dye now to tone. I leave it on for 5 to 10 mins and rinse, it actually works and leaves my ends blonde but tones down my orange roots. My hair is like an ombre tho
Wella toners only work on hair levels 10,9 or 8. If your hair is level 7 or darker, the toner will not work unfortunately

nice tutorial. The only thing I would recommend changing is that you should never apply shampoo and conditioner directly to the unit and swish the hair around in it
