  • Susanna de Chenonceau, M. Ed. (formerly Susanna R. Cerasuolo, M.Ed.) gives tips about applying to a college honors program:
    -If you were a strong student in high school and like an extra challenge, apply!
    -If you struggled in high school, don't do it right away but consider applying after attending for a few semesters
    -In the honors program, you are in smaller classes, have close relationships with your professors, complete a senior thesis, have more opportunities for awards, and register for classes early

    Hello there!
    My name is Rishi Kasarla and I am a rising senior looking to apply for the 2023-24 application season. I am highly interested in applying to Boston University, more specifically the Kilichand Honors College.
    While I have consistently challenged myself with the hardest classes(honors and AP), I have gotten a couple B’s and 1 C. I am really making sure to ace my hardest courses senior year.
    While it is test optional, I feel like I need to showcase my academic potential with a strong ACT and SAT as mental conflicts affected my grades. Additionally I am working hard on my essay.
    I enjoy challenging myself and gaining useful knowledge. If you know anything about the Kilichand Honors College, please let me know.

    Hi there!
    Would you please tell me whether taking 10-12 honors classes at the undergrad level (nonhonors college) helps/looks good when applying to top graduate Schools? Would love to hear your personal thoughts!
    Thank you!

      Hello! Yes, but be sure to get the Honors Designation on your diploma or it doesn't matter nearly as much, Definitely apply for the honors program. Best, Evita from CollegeMapper

    how much is the cost difference between normal college and honors college ?

    • @susannadechenonceau3900
      @susannadechenonceau3900 3 года назад

      Hi Aviral! They should cost the same. They might have a small admin fee, but it shouldn't be significant at all and if it is please let me know because that would be a change. ALSO, if any costs for education are ever a barrier for you ALWAYS ASK ABOUT SCHOLARSHIPS. Schools and teachers want to help kids get educations, so never be ashamed to ask for help when you need it. :)

    Please am curious, does the honours program help pay part of your tuition, As maybe an extra scholarship?

    • @evitaalmassi9154
      @evitaalmassi9154 Год назад +1

      Hi there - Receiving a scholarship can help pay part of the tuition. Getting into the honors college/program alone doesn't help pay tuition. I hope this helps!
      Thanks!
