They're literally going above and beyond to not localize mother 3 💀💀

@@koiyunein Japan
We'll get mother 4 before 3
How would they make a good English version of Mother 3? They have to change so much to get it over here that it's not worth it.
Legalization issues, plus *_NINTENDO ALREADY CAME UP WITH A FUCKING WORKAROUND._*
I feel like Nintendo is doing one giant elaborate social experiment to see how long they can go without localizing Mother 3
They literally just made Mother 3 free to the West, how dumb are you to not understand a three-step instruction guide?
It's never gonna happen
unless it's remade

I feel like being a Nintendo fan is like being in an abusive relationship
Moral of the story: Nintendo, and every other corporation in existence, are not our friends.
It is lol, same with blizzard
Try being a PlayStation fan. One of my cousins is this close to making the switch (get it) due to how many IPs PS has neglected.
It's not, being a Mother 3 fan IS an abusive relationship though
If you think that's bad, try being a Star Wars fan. For every 1 good thing, we get like 6 bad TV shows or movies.
"This is why we emulate your games".
That hit me right in the Yuzu.
Nintendo of America: I'll localize Mother 3 when you release Coyote Vs. Acme.
Warner Bros.: Oh yeah? Well, we'll release Coyote Vs. Acme when you localize Mother 3.
Now each of them is refusing to let the other one win.
Isn't Coyote Vs. Acme a tax write off tho? Like Megas XLR8
Now add half life 3 to the mix
Nintendo is doing a April Fools joke early
You fell off.
"Do you guys not have phones?"
:sad wojak.:
I'm not even a MOTHER Fan, but this has to be both a swift Kick to the Posterior yet honestly... Hilarious.
I deeply feel bad for all MOTHER Fans.
Its not a simple kick, more of a shot honestly
Due to legal soundtrack issues, possible censorship and general roadblocks when it comes to just creating a modern translation from scratch, it makes sense why they would not make a new translation for an 18 year old game that you can already play an English fanmade patch for online
Shame on all the Mother 3 fans who haven't even played Mother 3 yet
As a mother fan don't we already have a very good version of the game I never wanted a localisation we even have an amazing french version ! And what for ?? To it being as censored or even more than with Earthbound already ??? No thank
@@pointillism252it's not because of that cause in that case Earthbound wouldn't have been realised either
The day Mother 3 gets localized will be the day Goku gets into Smash
I feel like goku will get in to smash long before that
Yes we will never get it, nintendo tries to avoid all controversy. Mother 3 has things that would be considered "insensitive" in the west that would create controversy.

TIME TO LEARN JAPANESE BOYS
Right
I mean, I have taken Japanese classes and I'm still learning it today by how fun it actually is
Honestly, in a way, I'm actually glad it's only coming to the japanese version of the GBA app, because this might actually help me stop procrastinating and actually put some more effort into learning japanese. I mean, I don't know nearly enough to fully understand the story or anything, but like I know which option is yes and no... And I'll know if they're saying "uhh" and I know some colors... some numbers... and some other words...
That's not enough to actually understand the story whatsoever, is it... Well, guess I'll have to just guess my way through the game, should be fun enough. (Seriously though, it does kinda suck that they aren't localizing, it but I alos don't really understand why some people are actually trying to use this as an excuse to justify piracy)
@@riskyworksBest of luck in your Japanese language learning.
I don’t think there’s any good reason to oppose the emulation that’s been officially acknowledged for lack of the product being available. Get over this hurdle.
Weebs who know Japanese can play this game lol
what did you guys expect, Nintendo ACTUALLY localizing games
Nah they can localize other games
Just not mother 3
I mean a lot of stuff that isn't random or obscure has been localized.. soo...
Nintendo needs to put all their effort into censoring the new fire emblem game
They would ruin it.
After the stunt they pulled with The Great Ace Attorney... I kinda did
The thing is, I don’t think Nintendo cares if you emulate mother 3. And I think that is one of their only exceptions to the “don’t emulate” rule that they have, because they themselves aren’t sure they emulate it properly, and they have never gone after the fan translation
considering itoi has rights to the game too, they legitimately might not be able to do anything about it.
They cant delete patches, thats the rom hackers work around with everything, just patch the rom and everything is fine
Nintendo: *DO NOT PIRATE OUR GAMES!!!*
Also Nintendo: SO anyways we are releasing this higly acclaimed game you guys have been asking us to release for over 2 decades.... on Japan exclusively :D
Piracy/emulating becomes more and more morally ethical by the day on god.
How else are we gonna play old Pokémon games on our Switches?!
so what you're saying is you're just looking for excuses to pirate, got it
@@RJS2003downloading an gba emulator and the mother 3 ENG hack rom is so easy.
Nintendo really needs to try and have a reason for not pirating their games.
@@SebHighDef So what you're saying is you're a bootlicker, got it
Just play the fan-made translation that's existed for over a decade and be done with it
Nintendo generally seems to do that “only new localizations for full-on remakes” thing *crosses fingers for Genealogy of the Holy War remake*
Remake this one. It’s an excuse to not simply localize it.
@@runningoncylinders3829 I mean, fair, but besides the original Fire Emblem 1 (for a limited time)… when have they ever made a new localization for an otherwise unremade older game?
I understand why this is considered a huge deal (I’m literally a Mother 3 fan myself), but I’m not surprised that this happened, this was already done on Wii U, and this also happens with Fire Emblem games
Genealogy is also on NSO in Japan though, it's been there for a while now.
The more time passes the more my clown wig tightens.
@@jomaq9233 Earthbound Beginnings aka Mother 1
Nobody seems to remember this exact thing happening on the Wii U too. At least you can easily download Japanese switch online
Doesn't make the game playable if you don't know Japanese though. It's like giving a blind person a book that isn't in braille.
That’s what I did
I can’t play it because i don’t know Japanese
Its things like this that make me wonder if nintendo actually wants us to emulate their games
It's a sad day for Mother fans, but I can't say I never saw it coming. I think it is safe to say that if they are doubling down this much on not localizing the game almost 20 years after, that Mother 3 officially released in English will never exist. Acceptance is the last stage of grief folks. Just boot up the localized emulators.
Due to legal soundtrack issues, possible censorship and general roadblocks when it comes to just creating a modern translation from scratch, it makes sense why they would not make a new translation for an 18 year old game that you can already play an English fanmade patch for onlin

That and I don't think Nintendo would be able to make a 1 to 1 localized version due to just how wried Mother 3 is. I fear an offical English version would change too much.

Wtf it's been 6 years since you showed up in my feed
Just become fluent in Japanese and live here for 15 years like me, then you dont need to have it localized, which woulc really dilute a game like mother 3.
You will most likely never get an official western release so just play the fan translation on an emulator.
Just play it on your iPhone emulator guys
Mother 3 will never get localised because its music is a copyright bombshell
It's insulting... I never had any Nintendo console, but... Mother 3 deserves respect, at least as much as Earthbound which was localized an eternity ago. Like, even translation is ready for them, Tomato will give it to them for free or even will pay to them for such kindness. Yes, you can download from site, launch up emulator and then play, but... doesn't that sound a bit too underwhelming for such unique and wonderful experience?
Working with fans isn't as easy as SEGA makes it look. There's all sorts of legality issues involved.
