  • Understanding the fundamentals of how we can create geometry in Rhino 3D. This exercise explores a variety of ways we can model a simple shape so that we begin to understand the tools at our disposal within Rhino.

    I know this is a stupid question but here goes... Why are straight lines called curves? Is a line just a curve with zero degrees?

      Exactly! Lines are zero degree curves or vice versa and polylines are lines that are joined together.

    why is my box just lines ?

      The default preview mode in Rhino is a wireframe view. Change the preview mode of your viewport to “Shaded” for it to look like the video. At the top left of the viewport you will see a small triangle next to the name of the viewport. In this drop down you will see the names of all the preview modes.
