American giant Chrysler set up shop in Australia in the 1950s, assembling cars from its various makes (Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, De Soto and others) at first and finally moving into full-blown local manufacture with the Valiant.
Take a look behind the wheel of the beautiful South Australian-assembled 1960 Dodge Phoenix, from an era where tailfins, chrome and 6-metre-long cars were big features in the Aussie prestige car market.

I bought one of these in 1982 when I was 17. New Zealand new was a pioneer model. Awsome car. Bought a 1961 pioneer 3 years ago . Is a 1 owner car in mint condition.
