    My TYM regional maintenance friend also recommends draining and replacing the engine coolant during the first 50 hour simply to help flush any manufacturing contaminants out of the system. FWIW.

    Important note for anyone with a late 2023/2024 year model. At some point TYM changed the HST (smaller hydraulic) filter. The orientation is different and it is longer & more narrow. The OEM filter with my '24 was a MANN WD724/6, Wix equivalent: 57460.

    Well done video, however I'm curious about page E10 in the maintenance section of the T574 operators manual. It states that the "transmission strainer" is to be removed, cleaned, and reinstalled at time of trans service. I haven't seen this addressed and am wondering why all the videos I've seen skip this step.. It seems rather important. What am I missing? Thanks

    Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable.
    Thanks for going over the service items on your tractor. The step by step procedure was good.
    Regular service is so important for long service life.
    Thanks Hank.

    Wish you'd have put this one out about a year ago when I did my 50hr. Good job though, Hank!! These are great for new tractor owners.

    Never put you oil filter on with any tool. Oil the gasket before you install, no need to fill the filter.

      Dont have to oil the gasket since theres a little oil on the block

    For the front differential do you thread the dip stick in to get the correct level or just place it in real quick until it bottoms out without threading it in all the way?

      I screw mine in

      @@hhamilton1970 thanks, I went ahead and filled mine up to the mark by screwing it in as well. Thanks for the video! It helped me to do the 50hr on my 574. Saved a bunch of money not having to get it towed to the dealer.
      Back to using the tractor today which is great!

    Filter won't come off? Stab it with a really big screwdriver and twist. It'll come loose! Old school

    i have 2022 t494 hst is there fuel filters to change? thanks you saved me time. is there any other brands of quality filters mainly the big high $$ one? WIX? ps you can go to post office and get a few large flat rate boxes and unfold them to have something to lay on and to catch drips. FREE!

    Thanks Hank! Only question is the hydraulic screen! I have the 474hst, I’ve seen where some people clean it with brake cleaner as you can’t remove it without removing a big bracket? They pull it out as far as it can go and spray it off ? What say ye ??

    • @hhamilton1970
      @hhamilton1970  5 месяцев назад

      Yeah that'd probably work. I'd try it. Unless I pulled it out and saw a lot of trash in it, then I'd take the whole thing out. But if it wasn't too bad, I'd go with the brake cleaner.

    HI hank, I am getting ready to purchase my fist TYM T264HST with about 80hrs on it and was familiarizing myself with the 50 hour service on it just in case previous owner did not do it. I noticed in your video that the service manual you showed API GL4 80w90 for the front axel. The Parts Master 80w90 you showed on your channel is not GL4 spec, it is a GL5 which means it has a higher Sulphur content ant that means not safe for certain metals like copper or brass. Since you are familiar with tractors and TYM could you verify with TYM if the GL5 is ok to use for it is a lot easier to find and much cheaper. Thank you

    Hank, any reason you didn't lower your bucket to make sure all the hydraulic fluid in the lift cylinders was out of the cylinders? I'm doing my 50 hr service on my TYM574 on Saturday, and the service manager at the dealership I purchased it at said to make sure the bucket was fully curled, lift and 3 point hitch down before draining the hydraulic fluid.

    • @hhamilton1970
      @hhamilton1970  4 месяца назад

      You can do that for sure. I think I even say in the video, that when you check the fluid level make sure all hydraulics are down. If I didn't say it in this video, I've definitely said it in the past. Good luck on your service👍

      @@hhamilton1970 Thanks for the quick, reply and for doing this video. I've got a list of items I need to purchase (tools that is, I've got all the filters and lubricants) so I'm ready for the service. It's really nice to have everything you need when your ready to do the work vs. having to run out and buy something, which makes it take all that much longer.
