I have a Century 2535. Century was bought out by Branson. Which was bought by TYM. The hydraulic gear failed. Mechanic says it was a bad design and he can't get the parts. Tractor looks brand new but I need a tractor with functional hydraulics. Do the TYMs have a different hydraulics design?

The price for your ballast box was a good buy. You need to add a GOOD WORKS quik hitch to the rear of your tractor to make it easier for you to put it on and off. Enjoy you videos, keep them coming.

I built my own for 7 bucks if you don't have the skills to build a ballast box I don't think you should even be using a tractor

Real Pat's a good. I don't use a quick hitch because, I have some old and some new attachments and pins are different measurements. With Pat's unlock and lift the pins open it and go in. When disconnecting lift and lock open. If the arms want stay where you need them put the rod in there and lock in place. I would say that you put the knock offs on the wrong side. The holes where you tied the pins off if on the inside can hold a adjustable rod to hold the arms in place.

My plans involve the even cheaper route with more weight. A category 1 cross bar, a top link yoke, a few rebar, a 55 gallon drum and a partial pallet of quickrete. Peirce the drum just below the lowest rib with the cross bar being rebarred into the bulk of the concrete and similarly with the toplink yolk. Hit it with a vibrator, and according to the math, totally filled it should be 1,200 pounds. Thinking about making a few of them as mobile anchor points for tents and the like.

add washers/spacer to widen attach point on your attachment. your quick hitch top attach point will fit then.

Shouldn’t the “yoke” piece have the horizontal extensions pointed inwards so a sliding adjustable rod can be hooked between them to keep your three point arms at a set width?

Agree about the cheesy grill guard. In addition, the air filtration for the engine is poor at best. Anytime it’s hot and dusty mine overheats 2-3 times a day which sets my production back at least 45 minutes each time. I need to let it cool down a bit before removing the filters and blowing all the accumulated crud off them. It’s hot and dusty here in the Midwest for about 4 months of the year. Only other gripes about mine are cab noise - having a radio in the cab is ludicrous. You can’t hear it without having headphones plugged in and the Kenwood that came in mine has no output port for headphones. So I wear earphones with noise cancellation some of the time or ear plugs. A final gripe is the plastic fuel tank. It’s located too close to the ground where it’s too easy for a branch to poke a hole in it and it’s easy to cross thread the cap. Other than these misgivings I have no complaints. It’s been a great and reliable tractor and a deal for the price.

I bought mine 3 years ago $92.00 shipped to my door and I filled it with slag . And it is still doing great. I would suggest getting a can of flex seal or bed liner and spray the inside before adding your ballast it will help with rust. Mine not rusty my friends has holes already. He got his after I did.

I wish tinting was a factory option. I'm from Las Vegas somI tint literally everything the moment I buy it. If I can't find a shop I'll DIY tint my next tractor.

FYI, I did a repair for a friend on one of those last summer. They overloaded the trailer structurally, but the hydraulics were stronger than the structure. It broke one pivot bracket and pushed two crossmembers off the main beam at the base of the cylinder. Made a mess and had to remove the bed to get everything back in place and beefed up. SO, don’t overload yours!

That 300 increase just brings it to spec right? I'm looking at a brochure right now that says 2498 psi

Howdy Hank. I have that same box on my tractor for three years now. It had some weird name on it. I can’t remember the price, but it was reasonable cheap. It is loaded with sand and weighs around 600 pounds I’m guessing. It has not failed yet. If you have noticed they have many of these on the internet that appear to come from the same factory with different names. It is only on the tractor in the winter for ballast for snow removal.

1 cubic yard of sand is 1 ton . 1/2 is 1/2 ton an 1/4 is 250lbs. Filling it with concrete is a good idea good mix. With cold weather concrete could freeze before it sets up. As concrete cures it will shrink and release heat. The water will be released. 8 pounds per gallon

I broke the light on my 5835r, looks like the same exact light. Took it off and repaired it wi super glue, works great. I bought one from my local TYM dealer for a backup. They are about $75.00

That's no different than what they sell in the US Problem with trying to get quality now Is the money hungry people I would rather buy the cheapest thing I could and keep it up myself These corps don't give a crap who or what they sell now a days It's all about making their pockets full of money

What I like about cheap attachments is that you could easily fix those corners weld some pieces of angle iron to each corner and those corners are solved. Or you could just complete the welds and repaint it.

I've heard through a couple other RUclips videos that inside the cabs are pretty loud. One tested it at 85-86 decibels. Be honest are they that loud?. How does the noise compare to other cab tractors?

I made the mistake of purchasing a set of pallet forks that didn't have a receiver hitch integrated to the forks' frame. I found a Temu SSQA hitch receiver for about half the price of any other implement, so I ordered it. It came in short order and looks and functions fine for my limited use in moving my 5-ton equipment trailer around. Now I'm on their email list and I get incessant offers....
