Thanks for the video, As for using a straight extensions, it's ok as long as it's held straight. I see you have some sort of flexible socket and that's ok also as long as it's held straight.
@charleschapman2428 Thanks for watching. I was hoping it would help others that were thinking about doing the same installation. I almost did not make this video and stopped and got the tripod and camera out. I figured someone would benefit. Yes, at that time, my regular long extension was at another location so I had to resort to the ole wobble extension which is a real pain. LOL. Thanks again.
I sort of agree with you to a point. But we have three tractors, two of which are full frames. By adding spacers to my T474, it made it the perfect tractor for me. I like the compactness of the T474 and yet the power. I use my T474 on lawns sometimes and our full frame John Deere 5103 is just too large for that use. Thanks for watching.
if youre using a 2 row planter on the back and use these spacers on the back wheels, would you also need to add spacers to the front wheels?? since the planters would be following in the front wheel tracks.
If you are going to be using row crop implements such as a planter, cultivator etc, you would need to measure the row width for the implements and your rear tires. The spacers are sold in 1/2" increments from 1 inch all to way to 5 inches spacers. So they make whichever size would fit your needs, row spacing wise. Thanks for the question and for watching.
@@MartyHenderson-ie9sp thanks for the info!! i have a mahindra 2638 and i used my 2 row jd planter but the rows are too close together bc i dont want to plant in the tire tracks. i think ill look in to the spacers and i think i can get a few more inches between the rows. Thanks again for the info!
@@Richard31406 You are most welcome sir. You should be able to get the exact spacing between rows you want just by adding the correct spacers to the rear.
Good work. I would like to attach an attachment point to each of my axle flanges to allow me to chain my T474 to my trailer. Do you know a vendor or the bolt circle? Thanks again.
Thank you for watching. I have not seen anyone try that, but I would think that would be some added stress pulling outward on the end of the axle. I am not sure of the bolt pattern, I have never measured it yet. But I probably will now. LOL
I have a T474 and I'm entertaining installing spacers. I feel a little uneasy on slight slopes. Both 3" and 4" are available for the tractor. My question is there a reason why you choose the 3" over the 4"?
Hi there! I chose the 3 inch to make my rear 6 inches wider. The 4 inch would make it a tighter fit on my trailer. I too was contemplating 3 or 4. But ultimately decided the 4 inch would be too much stress on the rear wheel bearings. 3 inch has been perfect for my use. Totally different tractor since adding the spacers. Thanks for watching!
i have a 2022 TYM T494H ROPS the rims and the inserts can be flipped to 4 different widths . does the 474 do that on the rear? we have the same KUKJE A2300 engine. the most simple modern tractor engine on the planet. mech. fuel injection. mine has 94 hours and still no regen. i hear some go 200 hours b4 a regen. how long did yours take?
Hi there. The rear wheels are fixed and non adjustable on the rear of the T474. I have over 200 hours on mine and no regeneration yet and don’t expect one. I know of several T474, T494, 4820, T574 with well over 300 hours and no regeneration yet. Thanks for watching and commenting. I love my T474.
@@MartyHenderson-ie9sp KUKJE A2300 mech fuel inj. is the # 1 reason to buy a TYM. I'm told if you have DPF issues ten years down the road you can easily bypass/delete the particulate filter. you have to unplug the data logger. since 2018 I had Yanmar sa-324 TLB then KIOTI NX4510 then to the TYM T494. ALL fantastic machines! I did get a 2021 COVID KIOTI with a trany problem so they gave me the T494 to replace it.great vidjas. thank you rick Canadarago lake NY (Cooperstown)
Yes sir, that’s all VERY true. Simple to maintain and simple to repair if needed. These A-Series engines are just solid as a rock though and extremely rare repair needs besides owner neglect. Thanks again sir.
Excellent video Marty
Thank you. I appreciate that. Thank you for watching.
I'm in northern Arkansas, I've had a couple close calls already. Same issue, inclines. Great video install and presentation. Thank you.
Thank you very much. I appreciate that. I am very happy with the spacers, it totally changed the way the tractor handles and rides.

Well man!.. that is what you bought.it is a smaller frame, that is the selling point. Should have bought a T494 full frame

But generally, the front wheels do not need spacers.
