Reading through their website, I think my favorite punishment was "teach the little sister of one of the organizers how to drive a stick shift. When she can successfully drive a stick shift around the block without stalling, you can race again." (This was limited to participants driving a manual). Fortunately, she was a quick learner.
Great video! We were the team in the purple and green Mustang. Also the team raising money Salvation Army style. Marge, thanks for using the fur to polish our left rear. It was a great weekend. Can't wait for the next one. I think your video captured how much fun the event is.
Great video, Adam. Sonoma Raceway is a great venue, and a tough track, even for the professional drivers, with rain, even more difficult. Big props to all of the drivers and their unique vehicles.
just want to say thanks for doing the transit videos, as someone who frequents public transit, as the only option they have, its nice to see people who are not completely looking down on public transit
Glad to see you and the Pony Keg team out there at the race! I’m the girl that goes to lemons races to weld up cars. Hope to see you and the team out at Sonoma again come March!
Being totally unfamiliar with this race, on first impressions the people and the organizers seem great. The black flag system seem great for keeping the racers in check and keeping people safe. The people seem pretty wholesome and fun - out of curiosity i went on their homepage and saw one of the first rules is "don’t be a douche" - and i just love that. I was rooting for Marge and the team, but it makes me happy that people can enjoy the race no matter what placement they end up on. Good luck next year!
As someone who moved to the East Bay from Vancouver, it felt like I was one of the few who followed them both.. glad to hear others have the same good taste in RUclipsrs
I think what Mike does is really impressive! I'm super conscious of not copying what other creators do. But there are so many videos I'd love to make on topics that have been covered in some way in the past.
I have a little feedback, especially in the first ten minutes of the video, you spend a while talking about how the cars are terrible and unreliable while you play a mix of slo mo and realtime footage in the foreground - when you talk about the cars retiring, or being incredibly slow, it’s jarring to see the slow footage mixed in with the regular because every time I see a car going super slow, I can’t tell if it’s retired, shitty, or something else is going on. Either different pacing or visible symbology on screen for the slow mo would resolve this, and it would flow a bit better.
Le Mans - Everyone is miserable with no sense of humour
LeMons - Everyone is happy with endless humour
Yeah I think you really nailed it
15:20 - "some zip ties, some rest and some staring at the engine" pretty much sums up LeMons in a nutshell 😉 Glad you had fun 😁.
Hahaha. I had a blast!
I love the Black Flag system. Good way to keep people racing clean.
Yeah it seems to work really well!

So glad you covered this - it's a long tradition and hilarious. One of these days I'll have to see the race, and maybe compete at some time.
It's absolutely worth it. I had a great time!
My favorite transit channel doing a crossover with my favorite type of content? sign me up

Awesome! Thanks for coming out and joining us! I think you represented the struggle pretty accurately :D
It was an absolute blast. Thanks for having me out, and really glad to hear you like the video!
Oh my lord, I followed for the transportation content, now I’m hooked. Best channel I’ve discovered in a long time way to go Adam.
Wow, thanks!
That's probably the fastest an Olds Cutlass of that era has ever gone.
I bet you're right!
Love your Amtrak adventures, and this is also most excellent!
Thank you very much!
Thanks for the video. I love watching the 24 Hours of Lemons race wrap-ups, so seeing this in my feed was welcome surprise.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Whoa that's amazing! I'm glad you found this!! The vibes from your team were immaculate. What a cool weekend.

This was the last thing I expected from you, but it is awesome. Glad to see some familiar cars from the last time I drove in Lemons at Sonoma! i
It's a bit of a departure for sure, but I had such a good time!

What fun! Enjoyed the video. Reminds me of the enduro races at our local track.
I've wanted to race one of these forever. So fun.
If there's one thing I'm not, it's a race car driver. But I had a blast just being there.
Wow! Some really cool shots in this one! Thanks for sharing, Adam!
Thank you!
Yo Adam. Congrats on making it as a Creator on the Rise! 🎉
You always have such fun adventures. I look forward to your videos every week.
Thank you! I'm really glad you enjoy them.
Adam's gonna be writing for The Autopian come next year, isn't he. Great vid!
Great find! I’m surprised I haven’t heard of this.
We don’t drive anymore but it’s still a regular outing for my son and me to attend the fun - great video Adam
It really is such a cool experience!
Would love to see you get behind the wheel next year!
That's extremely unlikely, but never say never!
omg I didn't realise you were a car guy, looking forward to watching
OMG I don't know how I've lived here for 15 years and am just now finding out about it. This is amazing.
I would highly recommend checking it out. They race all over the world too!
Echoing the comments here - was very pleasantly surprised to see automotive endurance racing content along with the transit content here!
Wow this is cool! Like I said previously this guy is going to be the new Downielive!
As someone who moved to the East Bay from Vancouver, it felt like I was one of the few who followed them both.. glad to hear others have the same good taste in RUclipsrs

HA! My son has driven a car in the LeMons race!
are you ever gonna do a Q&A vid/vlog?
Did you use transit to get there?
3:08 The rainier bottle opener!!?!
Strong Rainier theme with this car!
and rainier cozies on Marge's ears. we went to race in Shelton, WA once, and when we woke up in the morning found she'd been decorated..
My friends and I have always wanted to do this. Haha looks so much fun
Such a great atmosphere!
bro-ham
any sonoma content I am here for
let's go!
Adam - good segment. Can you figure out a way to have you running for a train in every one of your videos?
We need this
Hahaha. I'll work on that!
Still good vibes after the race
Only good vibes at Lemons!
Love your channel!
is crazy how your recent and past vids have been getting crazy views but they ain’t subscribing 😕
I worked in a pit crew of a Lemons team back in 2015. This brought back good memories.
Glad to hear it!
Hey, if you’re interested in March doing a video on another team you could hit me up for Lemons this coming March also we have a good backstory
Jesus bless you Merry Christmas
So. Much. Censorship.
