I'm a d2d sales introvert 😅. I apologize every time for door knocking, but surprisingly, people are refreshed to witness someone being kind and courteous, and I still do well like my highly energetic type A counter-parts.
The 2nd tip is true regardless of introvert or extrovert. Salespeople need to listen - ask open ended questions and just listen. Some salespeople talk way too much. Nice video...
everytime someone didnt pick the call i made- i was secretly happy - but i was also shocked that it can have an impact even if people does not respond well on call....especially with remarketing
Thank you for this helpful video Suyin! One of my primary reservations with switching into a sales career is the fact that I'm introverted. But hearing these tips gives me more confidence that I can perform well in sales :)
Dear Lord, give me the wisdom to do the things You put me on this earth to do in a way that pleases You and serves the women and children You have given me to serve.
thank you for this video been thinking of transitioning into tech sales and I've been looking for someone else who is more on the introverted side take on sales! thanks for the tips on listening to the customer and letting them talk I'm completely afraid of cold calling but sales seems like a great way to earn good money and use that for investing etc.
I used to do Door-To-Door which requires alot of talking which took up most of my energy! Quits the next day and found a waitering job. Fits my personality as an introvert :)
Im quite refreshed during watching your video... just started to know what is really introvert, extrovert is... I think Im your opposite site. haha.. I am actually know you from your LUNA video as I just stated as well.. Thanks!
Ahhh... She smiles a lot... Just like me... It's very annoying and also shows we're nervous... I can relate to this.. I love this video.. hopefully gonna get good at sales now
I feel when i’m stuck, that’s my moment before a new growth spurt! So i lean into the pain and the frustration and I will eventually do something differently - i sometimes feel like WHY am i even in this industry, it’s not my passion.. Then i answer my own question with why i choose to stay. I benefit from it - also i don’t share my industry as I want to retain some privacy due to some stalking fears i experienced previously
Re: Cold Call part I dipped my foot into the insurance business for a short good moment. You couldn't describe any better as to how I felt when I was doing cold calling for the first time!! The next scary part was to go through your own phone book and looking at your friends, family or acquaintances as prospects. Personally I felt Cold Calling would be more friendly to adapt if it was to not target your Friends, Relatives and Acquaintances. I may be wrong, but it was still part of the experience 👍🏻 Great video and thank you for the ideas!
Thanks so much :) You’re right! Cold calling strangers is less scary for me too. Hope your short stint in insurance gave you some clarity in what you like and want and was overall a good experience!

Shout to the introverts. May we continue to navigate the world wiser.

Your dad's quote came from Zig Ziglar and its true! I learned something new about sales and introverts here, thanks for sharing!
I’ve gone from a teacher to Sales too. Your reasons for changing are exactly the same as mine. Introverted too.
Woooh! Same same 💃🏽
When you cold call someone, after talking for a while you notice that the person doesn't want to hang up the call, you know that he recognized you
That’s an amazing skill if the other person doesn’t want to hang up the phone! Nice one, Boon Tee 👍🏽
@@SuyinOng no need special skill, just say 'I am Suyin'

i would never say that smiling is annoying
What is the industry you're in as sales? How do you motivate yourself when you feel stuck in the sales career?

Hmm it helps me alot when I have a loose connection with the person but some cold calls have surprised me too!
