PSA 12 Card Reveal of 70's and 80's. How will I do?

- Today I have a 12 card PSA reveal of 1970's & 1980's cards that are in good but not great condition. Hoping for some MNT but stick around to find out.

Nice Jose ! I haven't seen that one ever. He was my idol growing up in CA. I recently pulled a Canseco auto from 2021 Clearly Authentic numbered to 10. I won't send it to PSA, it has that Topps sticker seal already on the one touch plus acetate tends to not grade as well as paper.
Polar caps will melt before you get a ten on that Griffey. Write care of Geoff Wilson on the address you receive them at for better luck.

My opinion they lower the avg grade by 1 full grade keep the Value strong on 8 9 10s
i refuse to send any cards that is older than 5 years.... super super rare to get anything above a 8 as many averages out to a 7.... and i send alot... new stuff easy to get 10's as long as you clean them up..... older no chance...i say that as i just checked... since 9-12-202 i have sent right at 238 cards from 1999 and older.... only 1 10 came back and that was the last john stockton rookie and we average right at 7.2 maybe 7.1. now if you watch many big time hobby peeps.... they getting 10's like a kid getting candy on Halloween... it appears who ya know to get the goods... not complaining just stating facts based off of what we have subbed
Great info and thanks for sharing. I surely hope that certain PSA accounts or group submitters aren’t getting preferential treatment regarding their grades. 🤷♂️

Nice submission reveal. I think your expectations were just a bit high on the grades though. You did very good. It is tough to get more than a 7 on vintage. You really have to look at your cards under magnification before submitting. Thanks for showing. Cheers!

I can see the Oral is off center just looking at it.
I was collecting sports cards before then and it was a common thing to pull cards that were off centered from right to left! That being said if card grader's can't give a little slack for that then evidently they never pulled a lot of card's because it was a factory printing error and if you opened a whole case of the same card's I guarantee that every card pulled of the same card would be the exact same thing!The only way it would change is if it was a completely different lot number of card's in a case of card's!
My last order took 14 days to get checked in after they received it
I have that same AD rookie card and thinking about grading it. Mine hasn't seen the light of day for decades and is pristine, centering and corners. If i knew it was a 10 id send it in, but i think PSA is a joke.
👍👍 up for your enthusiasm. But, honestly, expecting 9s on vintage cards is a recipe for disappointment

My feeling is that they don’t understand or don’t want to bother with vintage (unless it’s a Mantle or Koufax).
In this particular sub, I knew that I would be lucky to get any high grades but until PSA provides grading reports then these speculations and conspiracies will continue to fester. Thanks for sharing and the support!

Nearly all of the TAG subs are for my PC. I know the hobby is slow to come around to TAG so resell is shaky but I love the slabs and detailed reports. Thanks for watching!🙂
You’re Dan Marino, 84 tops Was Way off center and you still got an eight. I just sent in 4 1984 tops Elways, some had been previously graded a nine and got automatic eights on everything also sent 4 89 upper deck, Griffey rookies, and got eights on all of them. Looking under a loop, they were perfect. I really don’t understand the grades. It seems like they are just putting an eight on everything.
Sometimes it does make you wonder if the grader is giving your cards the proper attention. Until they provide some kind of explanation or grading report, we will continue to speculate. 🤷♂️
Hell will freeze before anyone gets a ten on their Griffey’s again unless you are in the good ole boys club

That’s how it always seems to go. As soon as you send them in, they run a special right after 😊
Doesn't mean that they are going to grade more consistently. I've also been having a grade lower than I pre-screened. Some times two. Have an order in since late May and have been in grading for 3 weeks. Lots of late 60's- mid 70's. Thanks for sharing your reveal.

Hundreds of dollars spent on grades of 6, 7, & 8. Total waste of time to put your hopes on one guy at PSA. He could be having a bad day or just wants to get through a bunch of cards to reach a certain quota for the day and this is what you get. I bet you could resend these cards back in at a later date and get a different guy with better results.
Ohp.. here's another confused and disappointed person with their PSA reveals. BOYCOTT PSA!
They offer no explanation as to why a card received a grade less than ten. In the future these cards against BGS or SGC will sell for less.
Yeah sounds like a good plan. Just keep sending them in hoping for a better grader. Lol PSA- Please Submit Again. Send us more $$$.
nice submission my last submission seamed to be a grade off there getting harder on these years,been buying my missing cards looking at newer psa 7 to me its old psa 8
Agreed. If you look at older labeled PSA slabs, say a PSA 7, many look worse than a newer slabbed PSA 6. Thanks for sharing your thoughts 👍🏻
