    For people complaining, the V6 is time tested and proven tech, providing confidence and reliabilty.
    The power output is just fine, my 13 GS350 AWD is plenty fast, and im coming from an 08 ISF and currently a FBO track built G37S.
    The only concern i would have is if the 8 speed is as docile as people have claimed. If it were to be identical to the ISF 8 speed shifting it would be just fine. I get this doesnt have the power of its competitors but this is just enough to feel a good surge of power when you need to step on it. Its an automatic anyway who cares. Otherwise go buy something with more power and less reliabilty. I have full peace of mind with the offering once the transmission is confirmed to perform as needed.
    Price tag wise, I dont buy new cars and I think any new car is overpriced. This is perfect for me when I buy it preowned. I know it has a tried and true powertrain/drivetrain, and the interior is absolutely beautiful, I dont know what everyone is comparing it to, most new cars have horrid interior design. Lexus has symmetry, quality materials and a timeless design through and through.

  • @gregwiens35
    @gregwiens35 3 года назад +2

    Plan and simple. Lexus is not going to invest money in major changes to any sedans if people aren't buying them. I have a 2016 IS 350 fsport and although I appreciate other manufacturers upscaled info-tech and turbos, I'll always trust the Lexus will perform the same way every time, every day, without fear of mechanical failure. I'm considering this again. It feels "right". This was made more clear after I test drove an AMG A35 today and couldn't get over the cheap plastic squeaks on the console, the rattling spoiler over bumps, and nervousness of pushing it too much.
    Good job Lexus. It's a looker of a car, and enough power for "most people's daily driving.

    Lexus did an amazing enhancement to the latest IS series. It's aggravating to read comments that express grave disappointment to the style on the outside and inside of the new updated IS. The style changes and engineering performance is 'spot on'. Subtle changes are a reflection of a manufacturer's education and experience in the auto industry. If the design and performance are reliable and efficient for the general public for years, then why re-write it? Believe me...I'll take Lexus' approach to this new design any day, then to take in consideration of a person commenting on how bad it is and what it's lacking. They're most likely eating Doritos and playing PS4 in their parent's basement anyways.

    I have a 2017 IS300 and I’m very disappointed that we did not see a biturbo V6 with an 8 speed transmission to be competitive against the Germans.
    Lovely design though. But without a new transmission or engine, I’m finding it hard to justify the upgrade.

      the infiniti and koreans have lower longevity. specially with turbos. same with germans. if you want more power and lower lifespan, go ahead. but dont tell toyota to join the bandwagon because power and reliability will give your a price to complain about lol

    I want to love it soo much it’s great it’s understated. But the issue is that it’s still doesn’t match the competition it needs more oomph in my opinion it needs either more sportiness or more tech something to make it equally as cool as say a M340i

    Please just bring me the M3 competition... that’s all. ISF V6 Twin Turbo... no more V8s though... also, an engine that’s more easy to modify. The 335i, the G37 are kicking the RCfs butts out there when those are suppose to be the rivals for the IS350s....
