Other Joe is easily one of the most versatile actors of our time.
The man of many faces
@Just a Banana He's a maaan, not a goat!
I don't know, a lot of his roles seem to be a cross dresser. I think he has been type cast.

I thought Cyberpunk would dethrone this game as most immersive game, and boy was I wrong. The story, the NPCs, the detail, RDR2 is just such a masterpiece that set the bar so fucking high
I thought the same. After RD2 and TW3 nothing is the same! Both are stunning.
Cyberpunk was rushed had a really big potential, but ruined by bad pr and direction.

Gives Red Dead 1 10/10
"Is this game better than the first? YEAH!"
*GIVES RED DEAD 2 9/10*
Rdr 1 is better
richie j nostalgia alert
This phenomenon is because of a game called The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Pre 2015 Angry Joe used to hand over higher rating than usual like for example he gave Dragon Age: Inquisition a 9/10!! Because at that time the standards were on just like the usual post 2006 generation standards especially for open world games.
Then after 2015 The Witcher 3 set a new standard, and was actually the last 10/10 Joe gave to game, since then Joe doesnt give 10/10 easily and the 9/10 is now reserved to very good games and not just an ok game.
So if it wasnt for the Witcher 3 i think Red Dead 2 would have gotten a 10/10 but the new standard have been set in 2015 and looking at 2016-2018 it doesnt look like it will change anytime soon.
Hope that explains your confusion.
@@jackjager8790 witcher gameplay was awful and was buggy. Story was cliche
@@Miuranger1 This is not true, what you wrote is a bullshit opinion of yours, going by the golden standard it is not.
Hell..i can say The Godfather is a shit movie too, but according to the critical conscious and the gold standard of film-making it is simply not a correct statement.
What i think is :--> you have an awful taste.
The gameplay in Witcher 3 is full of strategy and variety from builds to fight approach, the mechanics, and the amount of stuff you can do, variety in monsters and utility you do and take, exploring and different maps which offer different lore and different environment, interesting crafting, great lore/explanation behind everything in the game (unlike other games they dont just throw shit at your face they actually invest in making it logical and well supported by the lore). The Story is not a cliche since it is based on old books which was original (FYI Witcher is older than things like Elder Scrolls, Game of Thrones) and similarities can be found in writing doesnt mean it is cliche. Side quests have meaning and care behind them (not all but even the small ones and contracts are far from being bad)
Characters are unique and offer great development with distinct personalities. Choices actually matter and have consequences on the game. As for Bugs i have not encountered bugs in my playthrough, maybe there was some few little bugs at the time of its release, considering the game budget is low and the project was ambitious bugs can happen in these situations, though CDPR definitely fixed them, they are after all the company with most respect to their customers and this is an undeniable truth.
Witcher has good animation and graphics, great art design, great music and voice acting, fun and strategical combat, a lot of gameplay options to the RPG open world gaming (set a new standard) it has a good plot (pacing, content, folklore, choices, content, engaging premise, good ending) with very few issues it has also the best cast in a game imo (great diversity of characters, amazing personalities, good development, good backstory on a lot of them, they have their presence, the DLC villain is one of the best villains of all time in gaming he is not one-dimensional, you feel the characters you feel they are alive & are part of the story and part of your journey example is Regis, it also has some nice catharsis for the main character Geralt) The game also offers high replay value due to different builds and choices.
I mean i dont know how someone can ignore what Witcher 3 as a game has done in its category and how it improved gaming in general, it definitely set a new standard for open world RPG and your comment just shows me that you either just dont like how the game is high rated (highest rated in users section and very high rated in journalists section) and how the game has the most awards, OR you just have a shit taste in art in general, either way it doesnt matter, maybe my comment offer you some nice information about critical analysis or someone who will read it in the future.

Unfortunately, Rockstar will now start it's usual 5 year hibernation while it feeds on Red Dead Online microtransactions.
Red Dead Online represents the worst. Rockstar attached "beta" on it just so they could experiment how far they could go in terms of micro-transactions and lack of content/features, without repercussions.

RDR 2 is made by the studio that had been making open world game since 2001, while CD Projekt only had Witcher 3 under their belt, and even that game was built on the previous 2 Witchers. Cyberpunk didn't have a base to build on, they have to go for it from scratch, after insane project scope creep as well, surprised me that it even came out. It wasn't made with ray tracing and all that nonsense, but got added later during development because it sounds "cool".
@@lc9245 Knowing how long Cyberpunk 2077 has been in development, it should have been a masterpiece. Hell I stumbled upon it in 2017 when it was still upcoming. That was four damn years ago. @@jas6853 then you know nothing about what a prequel
@@hadez908 It isn't a prequel to John's story, though. It features John Marston, but it tells Arthur Morgan's story no ifs or buts. In the words of the co-studio head of Rockstar North, "It’s a companion piece. They exist together. They’re connected. There’s a lot of connective tissue between the two stories and lots of characters that you’ve seen before that you’ll see again. But it's a standalone tale. It's Arthur's story. We really wanted people to experience his story. You'll see a bit of John through his eyes, you'll see Bill, you'll see Javier, and you'll meet lots of new characters. You'll get to learn a lot more about Dutch.” Can't argue with the game devs.
I was buying peaches at the store in Valentine, insulted some guy, beat him up, got arrested, came back the next day and the owner said "Don't be causing any more trouble in my shop. I'm watching you, don't think I'm not!" I started harassing everyone at camp and then John came from behind and said "That's enough!" and knocked me out. I stumbled into St. Denis by accident in my muddy coat and hat while everyone else was sophisticated and well dressed and I got the impression of how much out of water Arthur suddenly became and it was an odd feeling since not most games can do that! And another time I got on the trolley in St. Denis and talked to a few of the passengers, decided to jump off while it was still moving and fell face first into the street with one of the guys I talked to started laughing and said "I love this country!" xD
Bro that last part is truly next gen 😂

I was in St. Denis one night, just walking through town, when this couple flipped the heck out. They over-reacted, screaming at me and demanding that I leave. Apparently, I'd stumbled into their back garden and scared them.
RDR2 had sooo many emergent moments that will last with me. My favorite open world game of all.
The intro is so accurate. The witnesses are always in the middle of nowhere and report the crime like they have 911 on speeddial.

Yep Spiderman, GOW, RDR2 all nominated all great games. Having played all 3 i would give it to Red dead just for the imersion and story. But yh fuck EA and Activision.
“Insert Pikachu meme here”
Red Dead Redemption 2, God of War 4, Spiderman. Man! All of these games are so beautifully crafted and all of them are so enjoyable, it's really hard to pick a winner. Gameplay wise, I would say Spiderman beats both. Story wise, it's kind of neck and neck between GoW and RDR2. When it comes to direction, I would choose GoW. Soundtrack, all of them have such beautiful soundtracks. So, now you see? How difficult it is to choose. And all of them are completely worth the $60.

DarkJedi3000 You actually usually get told by officers to move along and then if you don’t comply you get wanted
So frustrating. Early on in the game, I spent like 15 minutes trying to get this guy's horse back. It kept spooking and running away from me, so I just lassoed it and rode back to the guy. He starts thanking me, runs towards his horse, runs into my horse, gets knocked down, then as soon as he gets back up, starts shooting at me.
I was on the road and a guy riding by on a horse was hurt and needed me to take him to the doctor in st denis. I took him and brought him in to the doctor and apparently got a disturbing the peace bounty for I'm not even sure exactly what.

The horse stealing scene hit me in my feels. I once bought a $900 horse, and not 5 minutes later I got jumped by some raiders. When I respawned the horse was replaced with just a saddle on the ground. Never found again. Rip.
I know how you feel man I had the white Arabian horse and got it's bond up to level 4. But the damn bounty Hunters killed her I was so pissed.

When I first bought this game 3 years ago I had no idea what to expect, I just thought the trailers looked good. And my good was I blown away. This game is a masterpiece. My standard of games went up so high because of this
It's not a masterpiece
9/10 doesn’t make the game justice!!
Easy 10/10!!!
the trick with horse riding is if you think your about to hit something.. release the joystick
the horse then will auto nav around the object.
Kobe Wild- I’ve read this and read this and read it again... this doesn’t work lol. I’ve tested this so many times. Release the stick? No. Release the stick and hold X? No. Release X yet keep holding stick? No. Release everything? No (that last one was desperation)
Clearly I’m doin it wrong if this works for others but dunno what the hell i’m doin wrong... but no, slap headfirst into a tree.
Worst. Cowboy. Ever 🤠
@@LOSTBHOY88 It only works certain times the game didnt program it for every obstacle
@@jnall5904 It usually only works for regular horse pathing. If it isn't in the pathing of the horse, then the horse will not autonav around it.
You can hit RB or R1 to slow your horse down and avoid the collision.
Kobe Wild or just hold Rb or R1
I like how they made it so you can only hold 2 Main weapons then the rest stay on your horse. It makes it more realistic then like GTA 5 when you pull RPG out of your spine lol.
Luke Persi I hate when the game decides to leave the guns on the horse when you get off
Dead on Time Agreed need to fix this. Not sure why when I’m in a story mission and my Lancaster Rifle disappears.
Luke Persi it’s definitely a flaw, especially when you’re in a situation where you need to get off your horse to fight and your rifles are left on the horse and how the story missions have weapon presets
Except your horse can carry 50 guns whilst only showing 1 on your horse
More like your ass
I just got done playing my 4th play through. 5 years later this game still leaves me in shock at how perfect everything looks. It still holds up so well.
one of the time I strongly disagree with Joe's rating.
This is a 10/10, especially consider the shitshow of games released 4 years later that are barely compatible to this title.
Absolutely agree
Watching the Mandalorian makes me want to see a Star Wars game in that show's setting with Red Dead Redemption 2's engine and general gameplay style.

From wiki: "
When Rockstar Games realized that a group of distinct studios would not necessarily work, it co-opted all of its studios into one large team, dubbed Rockstar Studios, to facilitate development between 1,600 people; a total of around 2,000 people worked on the game. Analyst estimations place the game's combined development and marketing budget between US$370 million and US$540 million, which would make it one of the most expensive video games to develop."

I agree. However, I think both stories/narratives from both games are good in their own way. I don't think either is better than the other in that regard.
@@12227UserName Story? Yeah equally as good but 2 is better in every other aspect.
@@TheAmazingSpiderGuy_99
While they are both overall about redemption hence the title, they are explored in different ways. I don't think either is better. John in the first one already is aware that their ways have ended, and he somewhat partakes in that by getting rid of the last surviving outlaws, trying to literally kill off his past. Arthur on the other hand is living in the moment and has to struggle accepting that the times have changed, and that perhaps everything they fought for was a lie (which is a sentiment John echoes in the first game). And while John's sacrifice is sudden, Arthur has to ponder with it for about half of his story. Again, very different approaches toward the narrative. There's also the theme of nature vs nurture and the tragic idea that perhaps the circle can't be broken despite the sacrifices made. Despite Arthur's sacrifice to give John a better life, John ultimately picks his guns back up later. And despite John's sacrifice to shield his son away from that life, Jack ultimately seeks vengeance and seemingly becomes an outlaw like his father before him.
Again, I don't think either game is better than the other in terms of story and narrative.
@@TheAmazingSpiderGuy_99
My bad. I misread your comment. I agree.
This game is like a double edged sword. Playing it feels like heaven so much that playing other games feels like hell. I now hate crafting hunting, gathering and horse riding in every other game. I now expect every other open world realistic action adventure game to have similar rpg mechanics. Things just mattered in RDR2. The weather, the terrain what you wore, the weapon you have, your health and stamina, the animals and even the npcs. The world felt like it did not need you to exist. It was it's own character. In other games, everything is centred around you, in RDR2 the story may be centred around you but the world sure isn't and you have to adapt. An interaction with a gator, cougar and snake all felt different. Unlike AC where they look different but are all the same. I remember actually feeling safer on horseback and much more tense on foot when out in the wild. On foot, there's some animals that will instantly kill you and even some herbivores that will be much more confident to attack you. I remember feeling like travelling across different bioms actually felt like a journey that i had to kind of prep for or how i felt the need to take a shower, change and eat when i got to a new place. Not to mention you do have to eat. In games like AC you could just press forward and run straight, over anything from snow capped mountains to some dry land and the only thing that changes is the terrain. You don't feel like it's a journey, it feels like a waste of time. I rarely fast travelled in RDR2, i think i only started fast travelling in online.

The Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2 are the two best open world games of this generation.
True dat
For me Zelda Breath of the Wild is up there too, but of course not for the same reasons. Those two you mention focus on story the most, while BOTW focuses on gameplay, exploration and complete freedom of movement in the world. They are all great in my view.
I honestly didn't like Witcher 3 at all
@@enigmafiresup4658 Glad I'm not the only one. Just wasn't for me.
@@toallin5146 You're joking right? Breath of the wilds open world is sad and empty as fuck.
This is one of those games that's meant to be played slowly and you're meant to take your time and soak it in as oppose to trying to rush through which I think is why they've gone through the trouble of animating the entire movement of looting someone for example or having to walk through camp instead of being able to run, not to mention having long rides to and from different places.
What a fucking story this game has. And gameplay that makes you feel like an absolute badass outlaw at times. 10 game for me
They really do need to nerf witnesses.
they need to revamp the whole bounty system in my opinion, and they need to fix the economy of the game. None of the side activities is worth doing because nothing pays, selling horses and pelts for $3 isnt fun, Poker is $5 buy-in at max. It's ridiculous. Money has no use, and they gave us a mission that pays $2500 and completely breaks the economy. Other than that, the game is awesome!
z-Tonto-z9969- or add a Nerf gun.
I've found that if I'm wearing a mask, the only time I'll ever get bounty is when I'm up close with lawmen.
All witnesses can do is call for lawmen, so I'll ride past people all the time and get reported for kidnapping, but I'm always out of the area before I'm identified for a bounty.

You can set up camp anywhere as long as it's away from town and fast travel back from there. It took me a while to figure it out cause I rarely set up camp.
Maybe it was updated from original release but if you buy the camp upgrade for Arthur you get a fast travel option. If you activate campsite anywhere in the world it let's you fast travel from your camp to anywhere already previously discovered
I hope there’s gonna be a undead nightmare 2
their needs to be. undead nightmare was so damn good!
I’m hoping for a vampire hunter dlc, but there is also hints toward another undead nightmare with the random encounters or dead looking people attacking you in the bayou
or maybe just to switch it up cowboys vs aliens instead
There's references to aliens, vampires and werewolves in the game, so a DLC on either of them wouldn't be a surprise, and tbh I'd love any one of them

finn this is in the Wild West
Far kas ok the Wild West was still real life at one point. So you’re saying back then people always assumed you we’re the victim if they saw you standing over a body?
finn no im saying back then they probs didn’t care if someone died if they got shot just because they mugged you in that time period people were in gangs and violents was mostly common even if the law saw it they probably would shoot or arrest you but in general people won’t say anything if you killed someone because they don’t want to get killed them selves
