    Good instructional video. One thing I did not see come out of the box was a professional
    Printed sticker or decal that says this safe is electronically monitored and will provide an alert of tampered with. That statement would also be a good deterrent against break ins.

      Update so I installed this unit where you installed it, I didn’t get no notifications at all. I had the sensor facing the light and still nothing. So I moved it to the center of the safe, facing the door panel and I got better results. the door notifications came in without a problem maybe just Location is key assuming….

    I stll have the old one. They no longer support it but its still going . Have to reset it ever once in a while as it starts Getting flaky. May just spring for this next time it gets flaky

      @@motorcitymadman146 Dude, that’s incredible! Every now and then I hear people say they still have the old one. Here’s the confusing part, it’s called the same thing and Liberty still slaps their name on it, but it’s owned by a different company now. SecuRam, who makes the electronic keypads actually owns and makes the SafElert, now. New one works great, I just checked my all earlier today while talking to a customer.

    You mounted it at the hinge side when the instructions clearly tell you to mount it at the door opening side??

    • @A1LocksmithofTexas
      @A1LocksmithofTexas  Месяц назад

      It’s true. I’ve had zero issues, as well. I get my alerts straight away every time. I would assume the thought behind mounting it on the open side would be giving it the best chance at light detection, say if the door didn’t open all the way then less light would reach the hinge side potentially causing the SafElert to not be activated. However, I have LEDs all the way around the opening on the inside, so even with the door partially open the sensor eye catches motion and turns the lights on. Thus activating the SafElert I’ve opened the door. Do you have a SafElert & have you tried it out one side or the other?

    I just wish there was a version that was a drict connetion power over ethernet. That solves both power and conection to the internet. Would be cool if they did that with the locks as well but that would take more creativity with how they build the safe.

      This is actually really interesting. I do like if you lose internet connection you get a notification. I’m liking what you’re selling here, though.
