    I just ordered the Clearview light setup that lets you change them. curious though, does the kit also come with the screws to hold them in place? so I can use both the 3m tape and the screws to attach them?

      @@self-awaregunship6869 Umm, honestly I’ll have to check. It seems like I saw screws in some recent boxes we’ve opened, but I’ll let you know. The multi-colored lights, right?

    Can the heating rod be mounted vertically ie parallel to the (tall side of the) door?

    • @A1LocksmithofTexas
      @A1LocksmithofTexas  4 месяца назад

      Yes, I actually considered doing that myself.

      @@A1LocksmithofTexas The reason for my concern is then the heat dissipation being primarily upward means the bottom of the rod in effect heats the portions of the rod above versus when horizontal it all dissipates up and 'away' ... but you dont think that would be a cause for concern as it would certainly help to not loose floor space.
      Thank you

    • @A1LocksmithofTexas
      @A1LocksmithofTexas  4 месяца назад

      @@SolutionsTrust I think it’s worth testing. I use the SafElert to see humidity & temp, if you combine that with a dehumidifier we can test the theory. If the idea is to let the rod heat up and slowly increase the air temp around it, I feel even vertically results would render closely the same. Aside from that strategically placing the rod on the floor in between stocks to be safe. I’ve seen others place them vertically for the same reason you want to, but I’m not sure anyone tested the results with something like a SafElert or similar tool.

    Just got the Ts36-45 seems pretty nice for the price [$ 588 out the door] . My question is when the door is closed it doesn't seem like it fits very tight. There seems to be a little slack in the bottom on the locking side. Is this normal? Any one else have this issue? Thanks

      @A1LocksmithofTexas  2 месяца назад

      @@daveirons477 Is that a Winchester? A lot of doors have play, pretty normal. Open the door, look on the inside of the jam and see if there’s any adjusters. If not, email me and I can try to walk you through making your own door adjusters. Some manufacturers have them.

    What do you think of the doomsday lock? I’m about to order a fat boy extreme and I have the option to get the doomsday. Can you give me your opinion please. Thank you for your time Darrell.

    • @A1LocksmithofTexas
      @A1LocksmithofTexas  5 месяцев назад

      Hey, Darrell, thanks for reaching out. Honest opinion, I don’t have one because I’ve never sold it. I’ve seen it, I’ve played with it. Not enough R&D from our customer base to give insight. I will say this, I’ve used one from SecuRam several times and it was touchy during instal, but I’ve only had to drill one or two. I think you’ll lose your Liberty factory warranty going with the Doomsday, so I do not like that. And if anyone is generally concerned with EMP protection I always strongly recommend just going with a mechanical lock. I love the concept of having both built in and I get it, but a mechanical isn’t hard to learn, but if you don’t do it regularly it’s gonna be a learning curve in an emergency situation. I don’t like that aspect.

    I can’t stand those cold feeling hospital WHITE WHITE led lights. It’s just so blinding and gross to me. I installed them into my safe and IMMEDIATELY took em out, put them on the stairs instead & bought warm coloured lights for the safe. I always end up going in and out of the safe at night time when I’m bored and rearranging stuff or whatever & normally I just have my bedroom lamp on low power so it’s pretty dim in there & then I would open the safe and get blinded 😂 team warm lights for the win all day

      @@Nightfall-TCG Haha, hey everyone has a thing, judgement free zone here. I’m glad you found something you liked, though. Probably not for you, but the new led lights are multi colored, cool to have a different color in your safe. And I appreciate the OCD moving around/reorganizing, I MIGHT be a little guilty of it myself. Hahaha
