    Excellent safe and one I would choose. But the dryfill or drylight doesn't have anything mixed in it nor is it high density unless this is a special roll out unless I missed you saying that. Sorry. The TL type safes have the concrete etc that you mentioned. Is this a special edition that has real concrete and special ingredients to stop cutting?

    I worked at a dealership that sold liberty's. In my 8 years of delivering for that store i been to many houses after break in attempts. Those centurion safes actually held up in smash and grab break in attempts. Those flat bars held up to the point that the theifs left. The centurion used to be made with the better welding by folding the one piece of steel and a robot made the welds on the back of the safe. I dont know if the browning is china made but chinese safes are notorious for poor welding and the welds are on the front of the safe making them vulnerable in a pry attack. These safes are only really good for keeping kids out of the safe and a fast smash a grab break- ins. Other than that save your money and invest in a American security bf series safe.

    A couple of questions maybe you can answer - Are there antenna cable extensions available in case 6 feet is not long enough? I want to run the cable thorugh the Liberty power outlet unit and I'm thinking the original cable may not be long enough, especially if I place the unit near the top of the safe interior.. I'd rather not run the cable through the door just to keep the installation clean looking. Can you run the unit with batteries and house current? Would the batteries act as a back-up power source in the event of a power failure? Or is this not advisable? Great video, very helpful. Thank you for posting. Cheers!

      @@prodigy6000 I agree with you, we have all seen/felt the effects of inflation the last 35 years. And Prosteel has definitely made some great safes since day one. To be fair safes have changed quite a bit in that same timeline. Better bolt work, attention drilling attacks, emphasis on fire protection, more modular interiors and of course the locks have come a long way. There are a plethora of well made safes that are way less expensive than these 2 examples, these just happen to be top shelf offerings. You mention the fire rating, but I missed any discussion of water, resistance and more importantly what is the tool rating e.g. how long will this safe resist drilling, cutting, etc prior to being opened. If it doesn't have a security rating then it isn't a safe safe. My American Security is more expensive, but it will provide better security for my valuables.

      @@SctyGrpPowers Howdy🤠! Great questions, here we go. Water resistance is best explained by manufactures that a safe is water resistant to X amount of inches for X amount of time. Some might be 4”-7” for 24 hours. The average house fire dumps thousands of gallons of water on it and is normally fine (after we drill them open), but yes we’ve seen a build up of moisture inside the safe because we’re not a loud on site for X amount of days. This is a RSC (Level 1) as are almost every gun safe made, there are few with more rating, but we have made videos on some. @lordabhikingfisher8087 Guess I never really saw it that way because we see safes every day with a gap of some sorts. To be fair, we’re talking 11 gauge steel, with an inner steel plate and bolts on all 4 sides….all that combined I don’t think you’ll see anyone prying that open, gap or no gap. I genuinely don’t see the gap as a weak point with all that in mind. Nobody has that sort of strength.

    Motion sensor Led lighting has become SOOO extremely cheap, especially if you’re buying in bulk like a damn safe manufacturing company would be, that it is a sin that they don’t all come with proper lighting. Like my local dollar store has motion sensor led strips for gods sake. How are some of these multi thousand dollar safes either not come with lighting OR come with shitty lighting? Like that browning lighting is so bad 😂 only lighting up the centre right side, nothing in the top compartment, nothing that shines top down. Not good man

      @@Nightfall-TCG Great catch, we noticed after editing the lights weren’t plugged in on one side, so that’s actually completely our fault. In all honesty I get what you’re saying, but this past year we’ve seen more and more safes coming with lights. And a lot of today’s light kits actually allow you to set them up however you want, so you can put a light higher. However, you’re right, there are even cheaper option out there.

      @@A1LocksmithofTexas yeah it’s just crazy that it’s still something that we as consumers are expected to buy separately from these companies after spending so much for the safe itself. I just bought one & didn’t realize it didn’t have any lights. Had to buy these magnetic motion sensor lights off Amazon which work great but it really should be standard practice for these companies to have them built in. I’m glad to hear you say you’re seeing more companies including them because it really is such a cheap thing for them to include but it makes the safe feel 1000X better when you swing the door open and it lights up immediately. Adds a certain level of luxury to it.

    Notably, there was no mention of the thickness of the steel. Also, since they are both composite construction safes, it would be nice to know what each company uses for its composite material.

      @A1LocksmithofTexas 14 дней назад

      @@greatmountainministry6956 Fair points! This was more of “How This Company Builds There Products and What They Include”, but you’re right. Both safes are constructed of a 10 gauge steel. Liberty utilizes a 12 gauge inner steel plate, ball bearing hard plate and then gypsum board in the door. Browning utilizes a 10 gauge inner plate, hardened steel roll pin and then gypsum board in the door. Both are extremely similar which is why we chose to look at them side by side. Hope this helps!
