  • This is the first video in a series about the assembly of an RB Big Block Chrysler 440 that will receive a 4.250 stroke crankshaft to make it a 505cid stroker. This video covers the block preparation process.

      I haven't gotten it to the machine shop yet and they might have it for awhile before they get to it. There will be a 2nd video coming as soon as I can, but in the meantime, I'll be working on my video quality skills and maybe balancing the parts to set up bob weights to balance the crankshaft.

    Very nice, Question : What size did they drill the oil holes in the bushings to?

      It is at the machine shop now, so I can't check it right now to give you an exact size, but I can tell you that they are very small, almost un-noticeable. Guessing, I would say about 1/8", maybe slightly larger. Since we'll be using a solid cam, I don't think it will be a problem.

    Hello dou you no abaut blocks from Canada Bay Grate Engine.Bay thes Engine 2006.Are thes Block better block !?? Ore are thes Grate Engine the same blocks from The good days??

      @jarmominkkinen9409 You are asking about Canadian Chrysler Crate Engines? Do I understand that right? Are they new castings? Honestly, I don't know Chrysler as well as I know Chevy or Ford. Can you give me more info? I doubt they are using the old castings from the 70's and 80's for their big blocks, but I really don't know ... more info would be helpful.
