Solo gets all the love and understandably so, but that riff right there before the chorus is the best part for me. Amazing melodic writing. And love that it's in quite a bit of the song as it's own pre-chorus

In Flames is always a safe bet! I don't listen to them nearly as much as I used to but occasionally I get the itch and marathon listen to their whole discography.

Have seen In Flames 4 times in concert and I can't recall them doing anything from The Colony album and they need to include at least one. I have all their albums and realize it's tough to get to something from every album but would love to here one from The Colony live
The more their career spans the harder it becomes to include something from each record
Saw them 2012, opened with Embody the invisible
This year they've played corceced, colony, bullet ride, food for the gods etc. Kinda mad they're just playing colony now TWO WEEKS after I saw them
I started with In Flames on Whoreacle and grew with them discovering the prior albums (Lunar Strain, Subterranean EP, The Jester Race) and when they arrived at the Reroute to Remain/Soundtrack to your Escape/Come Clarity/A Sense of Purpose era I couldn’t do it. The songs hit me wrong with a few exceptions. And then they dropped Sound of a Playground Fading and it unlocked something in my ears that made those above mentioned albums golden. Now I have no album I dislike. Sure there are some albums weaker than others but regardless of the album regardless of the era they are perfect to jam out to.
A true classic. And I highly approve of the Swallow the Sun shirt, I've got the same one 👌 I recommend Food for the Gods next

Hi guys. In Flames is in their repertoire, no one doubts them :) Quite by accident I stumbled upon In Vain "And Quiet flows the Scheldt". It's very cool and sad that among the millions of mediocre bands we miss interesting musicians. As I understand it, the song is 3 years old, and Spotify recommended it to me, for which many thanks to it. Even if you don't release it, listen to the song for yourself. Best regards from Russia.

I'd say that most old IF fans would agree that Graveland is their weaker song of that era. There's even an inside joke about that song among fans on RUclips! But you're absolutely right in speculating that their 'worst' songs (like Graveland) are better than many other bands' best songs.
BAD OLD IN FLAMES SONG: The New Word
It's hard to find anything bad per se, even this song has a great solo moment (although without payoff). But still I'd consider this one kind of lackluster.
PS. There is a dispute regarding name of the song. It's rather "word" than "world" but many sources contradict themselves
The New Word isn't bad by any means lol As far as their weaker efforts concerning the older stuff I'd go with either Graveland or Morphing Into Primal. That's not to say they're bad because they're not, just not the typical epic stuff they were consistently coming up with back in the 90s.
