So true! But I gotta say Anders Fridén's voice sounds way better than Tomas Lindberg's. If Anders did a side project with the At the Gates guys it would probably sound a lot like this.

In Flames have returned to their roots.
In Flames are truly back.
They took that sound people loved them for in the early 2000's, and evolved that in a direction I think a lot of people would have been happy with.
This is the In Flames we all love and expected for years!

I love this song, its sad that is a little bit short, i want more, people want more, so i think this album is gonna be so good
I was at the Sweden Rock Festival performance in one of the front rows. Although 20 min late bc of some passport issues in Copenhagen, they put on one hell of a show. All my metal-head friends who was at that concert was in a state of euphoria after that performance. The sound was a bit sketchy at times but it was one of the best performances of the whole festival. I hope they will release some footage from the show later on.

I haven't enjoyed Inflames since Come Clarity! That was nice and good to see them back with something legit
I actually liked the last album. Thought it was the best album since A sense of Purpose.
Battles teased them going back to their 90s/early 2000s sound, but it has come full circle on this track...brings back the nostalgia \m/

Yes! Was there and they debuted the song and it was insane. The halo effect played their whole album that will come sometimes in oktober if I'm not misremembering and the halo effect was fucking awesome!

Great reaction, lads. Loved the song but that finish was lacking, agreed. As a Jesterhead for over 20 years this was very surprising. Anders got his unique scream back which is huuuge (add Trump voice) for me. My favorite screamer is back!
He just needs to ditch the cleans. Someome needs to grow some balls and tell him he can't sing cleans. Live it is even worse. Ruins the chorus completely. Same style of cleans mixed with scream from Come Clarity album would be ideal here.
Song reminds little bit of Take this Life which is not bad at all.
In Flames and Orbit Culture together is dream come true. Well, North Americans, enjoy and cherish that. Wish I could attend

I must agree, this was better than any song on the previous album. It was good album, still this was better than any of those songs. Ending was a bit lame, but everything else just kicked ass.

I dig it. I can't say that about an IF track since RTR. I still think Halo Effect lit a fire under them.
They had to up the ante because of The Halo Effect. And they did not dissapoint. However, is this better than ANY of The Halo Effect’s singles released so far? I think no. The melodic solo was killer, the beat was killer. But Andreas Friden’s vocals just can’t match Mikael Stanne’s. Once you’ve heard Stanne’s perfect yet expressive growl, everyone else is going to sound lesser in some way. But I’m so glad we’ve seemingly got TWO amazing melodeath records coming up this year.
This is definetly not close to what The Halo Effect has did so far. But its 100% a start, thank God!
I like Anders wider ranged scream style a bit better, especially from this new track. I wish Stanne would change up his vocals a bit more because it sounds very samey and weak sometimes imho 🤷♂️
@@SadashiFox different from what everybodys saying about In Flames these times, I believe that what is dragging the songs down are the instrumental whichs being weak af on the late albums. Yeah, Anders vocals are not the same as before but Jesper is sadly the missing element on the band, he is a fucking genious and The Halo Effect is proving single after single that he was In Flames' cornerstone.

Best In Flames in a verrrrrrrrrry long time. Over 10 years at least!
I wasn't a fan of the clean singing (admittedly never been a fan of Anders voice, esp. the clean vocals), but I can overlook that as the rest of this song is a banger. Even the ending didn't bother me overly. What will bother me is if this is it, and the rest of their next album is Mall Metal garbage.
