    Yes, we are watching!
Thanks for the reaction and the honesty, guys, I really appreciate it! I'm glad that you guys gave our song a shot and that you enjoyed it so much! Many thanks! ❤
And yes, something with Mikael from Dark Tranquillity would be awesome, haha! We're fans of his too!
I even did some music together with him for a videogame (Metal: Hellsinger).
Anyway, cheers guys, we appreciate you!!

When someone who isn't sold on a band gives this much enthusiasm, that's a sign. Me, I've gotten into these guys a lot over the past few months, and I'm on board with their prog aspects and their mix of slower and faster elements in the same song, and some of the other things that haven't grabbed you, but I can completely understand why it wouldn't work for everyone. Like you say, this is going to be (already is) a real entry-point song for a lot of people who haven't heard them already, or who might be drawn in by this to explore further. Even if their catalog doesn't end up pleasing everyone, this one is going to speak to a lot of folks who didn't know of them before.
Meanwhile this is the one that puts Anders on the map for me, to explore In Flames further. He is SO good here. Everyone wins.

Anders himself said this is the best song he has been part of. There is a video of him saying this.

Huge VOLA fan here (since 2015) 🎉. I disagree on the live concert part, I've seen them live 6-7 times and it has been amazing every time - and they do not play their "most popular" songs every time. Last time I saw them live they played a song ("I am not here") from their Monsters EP from 2012, before anyone knew them. You need to appreciate their quiet songs also and it does not really sound like you do. 🙂 If quiet songs = fall a sleep, I understand your point.
However I still enjoyed your reaction video, and this is indeed a very cool song🤘

Not saying they are not a good band, just saying that from what I have heard I have not connected with it. This song is an exception because the moment you hear it you know it is a banger

I agree with a lot of what you're saying here, especially the part about the clean pop vocals which sound heavenly and their specific tonality is unusual to hear in heavier contexts of this kind. A lot of bands use the clean/growl dynamic these days, and this has been, if not a trend, at least rather common for quite some time, yet VOLA's vocals seem to take the idea of adventurous voice integration one step further and manage to push the sound into somewhat unexplored territory. Although Fridén's contribution is solid and adds a powerful contrast to the song, it's the interplay between the heaviness/intricacy/straight-forwardness of the rhythm section, the punch of the djenty guitars and the melodic synth sounds which form a music bed for the angelic tenderness of Mygind's vocals to hover above, that makes Cannibal so special, at least to me. I'm probably a bit inaccurate when I want to call this a-ha metal, but a-ha is definitely a reference point that comes to mind, as does Leprous: VOLA lives in the same realm as Leprous, but write more focused and accessible songs. Anyway, it's great to see that stuff like this has started (or should that be continued?) brewing in Denmark, a country whose metal musicians haven't yet had the same impact on the international scene as those in Sweden, Norway and Finland.

I saw them two times in Chile... ( 2022 and this year on ClProg) ... Both shows were amazing ! I Hope you can react to other songs such as These Black Clouds, Head Mounted Sideaways.. Smartfriend...Feed The Creatures... These songs are a little example of their modern sound.
Great and honest Reaction! Best regards from Chile ! 🙌🇨🇱
