This song made me smile from ear to ear, and made my body move in all kinds of ways when I first heard it. THIS is the In Flames I fell in love with late 2000's. This sounds like something that should've been released on the CD after "Soundtrack to your escape". Would've felt like a natural progression.
Saw then this summer with no expectations. But they did a killer show with some real old stuff. And played "State of.." for the first time. And it sounded great. Then this comes along (!). Haven't been this hyped for IF since -04!! Looking forward to see them again in December in Gothenburg 🤘
Amazing track, this album is looking to be their best in years... I'm so hyped! Love the Europe Final Countdown reference 🙌

Didnt think they were capable anymore of producing this kind of music, no clean vocals and a darker tone, so its a nice surprise. Does make you question their decisions with previous albums even more though. Ill be very happy if the rest of the album is similar to this.

Looks like In Flames is back on the right way. This song's like an old school stuff, like a song from the Clayman era.
Dunno about Clayman; maybe Reroute to Remain/Soundtrack/Come Clarity, but yeah, definitely vibes from the early 2000s - Awesome to hear.

Omg guys, I just came back from an awesome show, literally a few minutes ago. I heard four great (Aussie) bands : Those Left Behind, HZED, Karly Jewell and the headliners, Hellz Abyss. Of course I stayed for the whole show. Bought cds and merch, had an awesome time. Just thought I'd share that with you. Have an awesome weekend guys.

It seems In Flames is returning to thier style in the earlier albums. A fusion perhaps of the wsy they did on Colony and Clayman?

@@RyanREAX I’d rather have some new Mundi than Symmetry, but part 2 is long overdue. In a touring perspective Mundi has never toured and only release albums.

Haha NO. Im 38 and my sweet shadow is modern. No way its old school. Clayman is old-school and maybe only borderline old school. We are young.
@@snuffcarl I'd say whoracle was their last old-sounding album and anything after that is nu-metal (not that there's anything wrong with that, just not everybody's taste). At some point Anders clearly started singing more and growling less, I'd say around 2014 maybe, so that's like going from nu-metal to nu-deluxe ;)
Colony is definitely NOT Nu Metal, even with some clean singing here and there.
It's so interesting to see what people consider new/old IF. I'm 41 and I hopped onto the wagon in the Colony/Clayman era. That's old IF for me.

Much better than vast majority of stuff after ASOP. Love Ander's scream as it is like at the best of times.
Lyrics are awful, however. Chorus is very reminiscent lyrically to Chop Suey.
Love the idea of Halo Effect and In Flames tour with members switching around 😂. Brilliant.

Guys, let's be honest, without the halo effect and their success in flames wouldn't play heavy music again. Anders and Bjorn's assholes burned when people started talking about how the halo effect is more in flames than in flames themselves,they played their pop rock for years, and only after the halo effect they remember their roots😁😆

@@marneuscalgar2126 Dude, the Shadowminds video was released 9 months ago, this is what we can see and check. Now look when the in flames video came out? Words are nothing when there are facts that you can see, they could have recorded completely different lighter songs in the studio, but after success of the halo effect they could return to the studio and record new heavier ones, this is business and competition
@@marneuscalgar2126 17 songs already produced by THE, but the record label needed 10 only and 1 for japanese special release. Gateways are written in late 2019 if im not mistaken
